This company is a thief in the night...only it doesn't have to be dark for them to steal from you.  I purchased 4 posters at $2.00 each but was charged $39.00 (by their own admission through e-mail).

This company has gotten away with this too long.  I think it is time to get a class action suit against them!!!

I too was excited to find nice postersat a reasonable price. 4 posters for 2.oo each. They got the order wrong and cent duplicates of one of the posters even though the label on the bottom indicated the posters that I had ordered. I get a call from my bank that I was over drawn and got them to run a history for me and imagine my suprise when my 8.00 worth of posters had really cost me 48.00. I gpt two more posters this afternoon that I didn't order/ I'm afraid to call my bank and fine out what I wascharged for items I didn't order or want.

I was charged 34.00 for $2.00 worth of posters, but i disputed it with the bank, and stopped it immediately.  They can be stopped, call your bank and put in a claim form, and also put one against the company who promotes them.

I have a similiar complaint - charged $34.00 for 4 posters that were supposed to be $2.00 each.  Within 7 days they sent me 2 more posters & charged my card $48.00  I got them & called them to say I had not ordered these other posters.  They told me to take them to the post office & put "return to sender" on them so I don't have to pay postage.  I did this.  While checking my back account online, I see they have charged another $48.00 & my posterpass account shows they have shipped 2 more unordered posters.  I called them & they say there is a $26.00 shipping & handling charge on the first order & $28.00 S&H charge on the next 2 orders.  I asked them to close my account & they said they would refund the two charges for $48.00 in 4-6 weeks once they get the posters back - I'll believe it when I see it!!

I just got myself into the smae mess as well...I ordered 4 posters for the site which they charged me 34.00 for, then a week later they sent me two more and charged my debit card another $40.00.  I am heading to the bank first thing tomorrow to block my card and dispute the charges and all.

The first charge posted to my checking account was from Posterpass.com

The second charge came from a group called Home Arts Direct..

Anyone else see it done like this??

They got me for almost $100.00 within two weeks of my order of 4 posters at $2.00 each. I cancelled my membership and the very next day they charged me another $39.00!!!

Their site says 4 posters for $48 per month. It even says $9.99 per poster at 2.00s&h. yet they were charging me $48 for only 2 posters. I called them to cancel and find out why they were double charging me and they said i was on a weekly plan for 2 posters for 48 dollars???? what the heck is that. They just make up stuff on their own and charge you for it. He said I could return al the posters for a full refund. I'm not sure if i trust emto do that.but i i were to return the posters id make sure to get a delivery confirmation on the package as proof for your own credit company, so you can at least dispute te charges if they dont refund you correctly and timely.

I am going to contact my lawyer about this company on Monday Morning, I ordered 4 posters for $2.00 each and was charged $39.00 and then this morning I found another charge for $38.00 they can not even make up their mind on the charge.  Plus I was reading your posts and I did not know this was a monthly thing.  I could have just went to Wal-Mart and got poster.  I knew it was to good to be true.  As I said I will be calling the bank right now and my lawyer on Monday.

Ordered "introductory posters" for 25.00 on 9/10/08.  Made a mistake not looking into the company prior to ordering. 9/15/08 cancelled by phone with "Angelina" as soon as I noted others' complaints on web.  9/16/08 a charge for 38.90 posted to credit card which I noticed on 9/17/08 after posterpass.com customer service was closed.  Phoned again 9/18/08 and was told that "your post office has your order sitting on the shelf," and "Your first order was sent on 9/14/08 the day before you cancelled."  Hogwash, of course. Post office does not hold my mail on the shelf (especially since the original order was made 9/10/08 and supposedly was being held by post office at least as early as 9/14/08 (a rather remarkable response time for both mail and company that ships "usually within 10 days.")

Phoning them gets nowhere basically, other than "we will refund for any returned posters."  Clearly this company prefers to risk customer hostility rather than give up their obvious deceptive marketing.

I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.  Advise others here to do the same for documentation purposes if for nothing else. (https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/)

This website (posterpass.com) is intentionally deceiving consumers on the web. I was duped into trying it, and a few days later, saw charges on my credit card for "Home Arts Direct", which isn't even close to "Poster Pass" (should be POSER pass, as they pose to be a legitimate business, when they're borderline fraudulent). I ignored it, thinking it was something my wife bought, but when she asked me what it was the next day, I knew something was up. A quick google search yielded what the mysterious "Home Arts Direct" really was. I'm all for capitalism, but intentional deception and misleading on their part is inexcusable. I've called and canceled my account, and told them I will refuse the packages, and when they get them back, they had better credit back what they charged my card, or I'll file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Another thing of interest, was that when I called to cancel, I immediately got someone on the phone (no recordings), and she offered to cancel my account before I finished explaining the situation. Apparently, 95% of their customers realize they've been bamboozled, and call them up to rectify. They're just hoping the 5% who ignore it or are unaware of what's going on don't catch on to the scam, and let the $48 charges go through without issue.

As for the claim that the terms are "clearly stated" on the website, I beg to differ. I'm savvy when it comes to websites and surfing in general. I buy online on a regular basis, and nowhere did I see anything about a recurring monthly subscription charge of $48. Upon a second investigation (days later, mind you), which took some digging around on their website, I found that they charge a $9.99 fee plus $2.01 shipping for two posters to be sent to your address each month. But even THAT was not clearly stated at the time of "sign-up". However, even if it WAS hidden somewhere in the initial subscription process, how could they have possibly come up w/ $48?! The amount cited conveniently comes to $12, and $12 x 4 = $48. So do they charge you 4 months service all at once?! Again, nothing confirming or denying that hypothesis was found under their "Terms & Conditions". All it says is that there is an initial fee of $25 for 5 posters, which I understood at the time. Then, the $9.99 plus $2.01 for shipping each month, which I didn't know then, but understand now (still unethical if it wasn't clear to begin with!). So please tell me why I saw a $48 charge on my card, in addition to the $25! (A total of $73!) That is unethical on their part. And for that reason, they've forfeited the right to have my business. And yes, I apply that without limitation of date, meaning that forfeit applies past, present, and future. I will refuse any and all packages sent from them, and if they do not credit my account fully (the $25 and $48), I will report them to the BBB. I would do it even if it was only 25 cents and 48 cents. It's not just the money, but the principle of the matter I'm concerned with here. Hopefully it won't come to that, and they'll rectify what they surely know to be an unethical transaction.

    FYI, their return address is:
    PosterPass.com
    990 Grove St., Ste. 204
    Evanston, IL 60201

And their phone # is: 1-877-807-2929

So, if you've been a victim of their unethical business practice, and need to file a complaint w/ the BBB, Illinois is the state they're operating in, and the above contact info should be sufficient.

I too was taken by this company, the posters advertised for $2.00 each and so I received all (4) posters in a few days, but my account was charged 35.00, plus an over draft fee for insufficient funds.
this was an absolute ripe off company!

I'd like to believe you're not operating a criminal enterprise, Mr. Berman.

But why, when I called both of your numbers, did your system hang up on me?
Why, after the one time I did get through yesterday, did you not return my call or comply with my request to cancel the account?
Why don't you have an e-mail address?
Why did the bank have no phone numbers for you?
You charged me $39.80 within three days of the initial order and shipment.
Then you charged me $79 four days later.

There is NOTHING in your terms of service about ANY $79 charge being possible.

Equifax, GeoTrust, the BBB, the Illinois State Attorney General and the local police are all on my list to call today.

Refund my money, cancel my account and send me confirmation of such within 24 hours, or I go to the law for help.
