I had not ordered the subscriptin to Good housekeeping and after several requests for payment and receiving the magazine I finally paid the $7.00 plus charge.  I recently received a bill for $15.33 I wrote on the bill cancel, I then received another bill and again wrote on it Cancel and even wrote on the envelope CANCEL! then I went on line and canceled it on line .  Today, I received another bill saying it was the SECOND request for payment.  I WILL NEVER AGAIN READ THIS MAGAZINE DUE TO THEIR BILLING!!!!!!!
I will NOT sent to these people one penny for the magazines they are now sending to me.  They continue to send the magazines which I will CHUCK INTO the GARBAGE!!!! Plese let them know that that type of billing is only getting people to not read their magazine.  Good Housekeeping is now on my DO NOT READ LIST AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW OF MY PROBLEMS WITH THEM, THEY WILL CONTINUE TO LOOSE READERS DUE TO THEIR INABALITY TO UNDERSTAND WE DO NOT WANT THEIR MAGAZINE.  JOAN LEVESQUE, 741 TYLER ROAD, lEXINGTON, TN 38351 .  Please stop the delevery and constant billing of a magazine I do not want!!!!!!

My subscription to Good Housekeeping does not end until February, 2014.  I recently received notice that " my renewal" was being "processed".  STOP PROCESSING as I am not renewing, especially at this new rate of $21.97 for a one year (1)
    subscription!!!

Heck, you can subscribe online drectly with them for $7.97/year, or $20/3 years.
      https://subscribe.hearstmags.com/subscribe/splits/goodhousekeeping/

The timing of the "renewal notice" may or may not indicate it's from the publisher.

There are complaints against Good Housekeepinig (and other Hearst publications) reporting "chicken billing" to coerce customers to "renew", even when they may not want to.  These often come from "marketers"/"collection agences" like Sunrise Credit or North Shore, who use carefully worded renewal notices to imply it's already too late to not renew, or that this "delnquent account" might "go to collectons"..  If you don't want to renew, just contact the publisher directly to notify them, and they will generally go away.

Another possibility, suggested by the price higher than the publisher's own online prices, is that one of several fraudulent magazine marketers is attempting to muscle ahead of the publisher, sending out a bunch of "renewal bills" and hoping to confuse existing GH customers into paying them to "renew" instead of the publisher directly.  They may even just be guessng, blasting out a million "renewal notices" hoping to catch some suckers.  Or they might use the incessed callbacks as an excuse to "telemarket" for several months, getting around the Do Not Call laws.

What are the details of this "renewal notice"?
      Any "agency" names?
      Any addresses or phone numbers?
Is your name and address spelled the same as on your magazine label?
Does it include your actual current account number, or is it real vague?

Thanks for the info.  I was just about to renew a written request but after reading all these comments, I decided to cancel my subscription for several reasons:  1) online payment site very confusing and unclear. It made me suspicious.  2) actual subscription not due for quite a while.  3) Much cheaper when using your link.  4)  I am really disappointed with "Good Housekeeping" in general.

I mailed a subscription in in March 2017. Now it is August, and I am getting renewal notices- I called all the different numbers given on site...One person told me it must have gotten lost in the mail. How clear is address on their envelope...........Another "number" said that I didn't include my check with invoice--another # offered to get an "expert" on the line, but just before I was going to try this- in small letters it stated that              I would be charged five dollars-yet another # said they NEVER ask for money!! At any rate, I cancelled my subscription- and that since they DON'T send a refund check for such a small amount, I would get the last 2 magazines they owed me?!?  Please keep in mind that I did send a renewal check in MARCH???  And after reading another person's responce , I told them that I will never subscribe again, nor buy it in the store.  After reading all these other comments, I was very relieved to find out that I was not alone.

I was informed that I would get 2 more magazings...since it was not worth it to send such small amounts.  So guess what????  I was sent a check for less than 2 dollars...Please remember that I had ordered Goodhousekeeping in March 2017- and already getting renewal notices!!  Please Good housekeeping, PLEASE- fix your billing- I have enjoyed your magazine for years, and I am so upset with what's going on that have I need to cancel.  May God Bless you!!

I received a subscription from your company. I paid for it and my subscription is good until July 2014. Then you send out a card stating that I have not paid my bill. Its stated RE: SUBSCRIPTION ORDER for 1year @ $7.00. The invoice date is 1-9-14. I believe there is a error on your part not mine. If you feel I'm at error you may contact my son whom handles my activities and problems for me. You may call him @ anytime on this matter.

Please cancel  my subscription as of  Sept 14. Your magazine is disappointing as it
is nothing by ad after ad-very little good information to use. Please respond to this
    request to confirm the cancellation.

It seems my complaint is the same as many others.  i continue to receive statements(and magazines) even thought I have sent  three cancellation notices.  I will not pay any more money and I cannot see why I must go the bother of returning your magazine to you.   PLEASE CANCEL.      Thank you.

I paid for Good Housekeeping subscription under the name Dorothy Arneson/Welch in Nov 2013.
I also have it with the name Pete Arneson  (now deceased).
Please combine these, so I get one magazine under one name--Dorothy Arneson.

Please quit sending me a bill for $8.00.  I paid in May, $7.77 what was my renewal amount!!  The check has already cleared the bank, so I would greatly appreciate your correcting this matter.  NO payments are due.
