Just delete the email after filing complaints with the FTC and CFPB and your state AG.

I have got a threatening email as well from Todd Jefferson about Speedy cash advance (loan recovery) and I have never taken out a loan in my life. There's no contact info other than the email address it was sent from. I'm not sure what FTC or CFPB is or stands for. I'm young minded. Lol

I have received threats by phone and they said they left several messages and this time they actually left a name, Jefferson and Associates. I called back to speak with Katherine (she left the message). But the person that answered the call was a Janet Goldman and I asked her if she was Katherine's assistant and she didn't even know who I was talking about, she says let me see...
the number was 866-352-2916 and the direct number I called back is 714-316-7633
I don't have any loans. How are they getting my information?

I had the same experience last week! Threatening emails about an alleged loan that I had with Speedy Loans. I have never had a loan with this company. They threatened to call my job and put me in jail. They also asked me to send payment by pre  paid card, which I know is a red flag. They are definitely harassing me for sure.

Listen, closely-I am certain of this
NOT A CHANCE this can happen to you-they won't even sue you as these days there's a 4 year wait for courts-by then statues are up even if this were true-ignore them and file a police report

they have called me many times however, I never picked up the phone...I blocked the call and now my voicemail is filling up. The thing is, is that They are using a name randy webber <-- (not my real name) that they need to contact this randy webber and it is very time sensitive to note and left a case # 1962. Also they just blurted out the last for digits of a social security # ending in 0946 so a few days go by and I check my voicemail again, but this time it's from same people claiming to be from jefferson & associates  courier service, case # again 1962. but this time they say my real name! They say I need to give mr. randy webber a message or they will proceed with >>>unintelligible blabber<<< couldn't really hear it, however it sounded a little threatening to me. I forgive them for they no not who they have begun to mess with! I am the John Wick of the internet! and its on!

This is the email I received yesterday morning. I have had payday loans before but never through this company and they were paid off many years ago.  So when I received this my initial thought was oh no I better see what’s i can do to sort this out.  I don’t want to be prosecuted for anything. I called Speedy Cash to verify this email and debt they assured me this was not them. So I’m relieved but what about the people who give in cause their scared. Enough wis enough with these scammers.

Despite our previous reminder(s), we still have not received any payment or answer from you. Therefore, we regret to inform you that we do not obtain the payment of $825.00 in full today (deadline), we will have no other alternatives but to undertake court actions against you in order to retrieve the debt amount. Please find the full debt amount and options of settlement below:

    Docket File: FRC/4296/BS-11-2018
    Creditor: Speedy Cash Advance.
    Payment Plan: $75.00 x 11 Payments
Payment Mode: EFTPS Secure Payment Service

If your payment will not received in full within the next 4 hours, immediate court actions will take place.

If we do not hear from you within hours, we will have no alternative than to commence with further debt collection procedures. This will include instructing out Federal Trade Commission, Credit Bureaus, and Employer etc. Court proceedings will be issued within 07 days from the date of this letter if the account has not been settled.

    You will be prosecuted for following Allegations;
    ·         Bank Fraud
    ·         Violation of Federal Law of Debt and Banking
    ·         Intentional Theft by Deception

There will be no further warnings made for demands of payment. Court proceedings can include the additional expense of legal costs and interest being added to the balance of this account.

We would advice treating this matter with urgency and we believe you will not ignore this final reminder. To save yourself the inconvenience of court actions, we kindly suggest setting the total amount of debt and additional costs as soon as possible.

I got this same annua email 6 days ago. I ignored it since I figured it was a scammer! I see there's no contact information for the law firm. However there's a outlook email address to contact for payment. Right there is a red flag! No lawyers office would use "@outlook" as their email.
I really just hate how this world is becoming.
