Do not talk to Yellow Business Ads.  I received a call from them asking if I wanted to renew my company's advertising.  I said no I was not renewing any advertising.  They have a recording of me stating this.  I really did not think about it much as I have a Yellow Pages ad, which I am billed an agreed upon amount monthly, and thought it was them calling.  The next week I received a phone call from someone saying they were in the Legal Department of Yellow Business Ads and that I needed to give them my credit card number to pay my final invoice.  I told them I would not give them my credit card number over the phone, and they could email the statement to me. I was shocked when the invoice came and it was for $789.00.  I checked all of my records for the past 6 years, and I do not have a contract with this company and have never recieved any type of communication from them until this call. Even though I have disputed the charges by letter and have asked them not to call again.  They continue to call and threaten to turn me over to a collection agency.  They say this invoice is for internet advertising.  I went to their website and entered my company name.  There is nothing there except my name, my company's name and my phone number, all of which is public record.

So i just got the dreaded call above for the $789.99. I do remember the call back in 09 when my boss talked to them, I then got on the line and told them to stop harassing us, that we weren't paying for anything cause they were a scam, then in January of this year I got a call saying we owed the money at which time I said we didn't. They recorded me saying I would accept a piece of mail and spliced it together. When I heard the splice in the tape they were playing me and accused them of it, she got really nasty and said "you know what, the way this conversation is going. I will just send a bailiff out tomorrow to collect the amount owed, from you personally" AS IF...We are a non-profit we dont pay more than $200 for any ad let alone almost $800. This needs to stop. Thanks for all your posts above so that I know its a scam.

We just received a call from Jane White claiming that she was with Yellow Business Ads. She claimed that we were in collections and sending us to the legal team for collections. When we inquired about the funds due and proper documentation Jane White hung up. She was extremely rude and had no Marriott. We intend to forward all information onto the BBB, FTC, and Attorney General.

Report these parasites to the BBB, FTC, Attorney General of the state you live in and to the IRS. Ignore all threats. Let them know that you reported them so they quit bothering you.

FYI The State Attorney Generals office sent me som paperwork to fill out and send back to them along with reciepts and invoices. It sounds like Yellow Business Ads is about to be sued by the State of Florida

Went through the whole scam with Your Yellow Pages out of SE Florida, just got paperwork from Attorney Gen Office of FL about Your Yellow Pages.

Now I'm getting calls from 866-723-8738 with a lady saying she's from Yellow Page legal. Anyone know what city/state this person is calling from so I can send the BBB and Att. Gen after them too?

Don't know where they are from, but yes it is a scam. Ask her for the location address for Yellow Page Legal. Use this information that she gives you to send to BBB and Attorney General. If she can't or refuses to give you this information, tell her you know this is a scam and to FOAD, then hang up.
