Stay away from these vitamins

I agreed to purchase the VitaPower Vitamins as part of the infomercial sale for the Pilate's video. It seemed like a good addition to the video I was buying.

The price for the first box of vitamins was $1. They did explain to me that VitaPower would send vitamins to me on a monthly basis, and I was fine with it. However, I didn't agree the "FAMILY" plan they placed me on! I started to receive two boxes of vitamins per week, and they were charging $33.94 for a box of VITAMINS.

I called their sales department at 888-684-9660 ten times if not more to cancel the service. They said they can't refund me the money. I will contact my credit card company and see what if anything they can do to help me recoup over $300.

I too have ordered both Meaningful Beauty and Wen hair products. Each time I opted for the vitamins. The way it was explained to me was that the initial shipment would be free and a shipping charge of 2.99. Then after that, if I did not cancel, they would send it to me as a 90 day supply every three months and then charge me each month. Although I liked the vitamins, I decided to cancel as I had plenty since I had them coming from two different orders. I was able to do so but I did have to pay for the remainder of charges from the ones I had already received at 29.95 per month. I was also able to send back one box (or should I say shipment) which I had not opened. I was told that I would be charged for that box each month as usual until it was received back, but that I would be refunded all purchase charges. Shipping is not refundable. I think that there is a line there betwween customer and the customer service rep. It is first and foremost important that the representative explains all details of the transaction not just present but future as well. It's impreative that the customer have the correct telephone numbers for each product (the customer service number for the products is different than the number for the vitamins). It is also necessary for the customer to listen to all of the details regarding the product before he or she agrees to it. Either way, all problems should be resolved with customer service. Even if you were charged again after the initial trial, the product can always be returned and charges  refunded. Just hope that you get the right customer service rep and is for some reason it is not resolved, call back. Once you send your item back it can take up to three weeks to process the refund so give it that amount of time and then call them to check on the status. Just keep on top of the situation and I think everything will work out satisfactory. I do like the Wen and I like the vitamins. I realize some people may have sensitivities and cannot take the vitamins and that is a legitimate concern. As with anything, if you do plan to take the vitamins, take the list or box to your doctor and let him or her look at it. The quality is actually very good but you want to make sure that there is nothing that would interfere with any other medication. This precaution should be taken regardless of where you purchase your vitamins. Good luck all.

I got the same vitamins thru Wen Hair care products. I did not order the vitamins, they came with my hair care products to keep my hair healthy from the inside. For $33.00 a month for 30 day supply, but here's where they rake it in- they send me a 3 month supply and a bill for $100 Plus shipping for vitamins! I like the vitamins, I think they're ok, but not worth that much money. Over a years time I'm spending over $400 That's outrageous!

My vita-power came with a shipment of proactive, it said I got FREE vitamins because I bought proactive. I thought sweet!! Well book the vitamins and realized taking them makes me really sick. Headaches, nausea, and stomach cramping. It wasn't until a month later I see a charge on my cArd from vita-powervites for $33.94. I call the bank and dispute and I look up the company to find out How they got my card number when I bought PROACTIVE and didn't spend a penny on vita-power!! So how did they get my info!! I call customer service and the lady said I was a member and that my.monthly shipment has been sent so that's was why my card was charged... I was like don't I have to sign up to be a member and better yet Buy your product in the first place! They said proactive gave them my info! Wtf!!?? I canceled both products! The vitamins came in the mail 3 days later and I sent them back. It took 1 month to get my.money back, and it wasn't until yesterday I got a V/M saying they are shipping me 2 shipments and a sorry for the delay!? What!? Talk to someone yesterday afternoon and the lady said my order had been canceled and I won't get.charged..... let's see how long that last! Next time I'm gonna yell!

I ordered Wen shampoo and got vitamins, and a bill unsolicted.  Sent it all back.  Maybe the Customer Service Reps get a bonus for signing customers on for vitamins, not just the product.  It's unethical.  Buy Wen or Sheer Cover from eBay, then you can get it one product at a time, and not get duped into monthly "autoship" for crap that you don't want or need.

I received my trial offer of vitamins through the Meaningful Beauty products on February 2011. I received my first 30 day supply and didn't know that it would put me on a regular mailing list. I received another box of vitamins a month later and they charged my account $39.00 for the next 3 months for that specific shipment of vitamins. I have tried to call several times to cancel my order since then because the vitamins upset my stomach and I couldn't take them. Every time I call, they tell me that they can't find my account and that because of this, they can't refund my money. I have contacted Meaningful Beauty and they just tell me I have to call the vitamin company. I am out almost $200 so far, they keep shipping me vitamins and yet they tell me that they can't find my account.

I got my first shipment when I ordered WEN for my wife.  Icalled WEN to get off the auto shipment, they said I would have to call Vita power to get off their auto ship.  WEN stopped their shipments but Vita Power didn't.  I changed my credit card number and after 2 or 3 months of threatening letters they turned me over to a collection agency.  I know from experiance from CMI that they will send me a couple of threatening letters then turn me in to the credit rating people who bor 32.94 will drop my rating to zilch, I'm debating whether I really need a credit rating or not.
