They representative said she would note the account. The very next day, they called my grandmother, my mother, and my uncle. I was called by all family members and returned their call. The day I returned their call they called my father and stepmother... These people are ignorant and do not know what the term perfessionalism is..
did I mention I was only 14 days late? Yes only 14 days late, and had made two phone calls to inform them of when a payment was due.
When I called a third time I spole with a manager supervisor, who said she denied the payment request because the made several attempts to call me. Anyway the point is the payments were later accepted with late charges, and I was able to make an addition payment at a later time.
But they were arrogant, pushy, unprofessioal, and wanted me to ask family, church or friends for loans to pay them. I never again will use the Well Fargo again.... I will tell dealership to keep the car, or I will be preapproved by a different financial institution.
....... keep your comment to yourself.
So "one who reads their contract" tell your co-workers they've earned a complaint to the feds because of Wells Fargo Dealer Services nasty tactics. I wonder what the heck they would do if I actually missed a payment, call my mother?
If I called to just make a payment. What would happen if I called them just to ask for a deferment. In response to "One that reads my contract..", I am happy that you have a job that you are able to make payments on time. I am glad that their are some in this world that has no worries.
Although original creditors are not covered by FDCPA, you have to wonder what may be motivating them to be abusive toward customers. In a consumer retail business setting, abusive behavior often accompanies some sort of deception or even fraud, so it may be worth looking at whether that is the case here.
On the surface, scaring you into paying early actually is profitable to the lender, although at the expense of future business, but there are other possibilities to consider, based on what other banks have done in the past.
If they call to harass you over payments you have already sent on time, start mailing your payments certified, so you have documentation of the date they receive your payment. See if you can catch them in fraudulently adding "late fees" for payments that aren't actually late.
