West gate Resort in Orlando is based on timeshare sales. We went there on an offer and was told we would have to sit through a "presentation." The presentation started at 0730 am and the high pressure sales continued through to noon. Four and a half hours of the salesman pushing the sell. He started by telling us ...no pressure, just a presentation. He would not come up for air, and after we told him no thank you, he brought another person to make us another offer, then a third person after we again declined.

When it was all over we were told we were not welcome to return to West gate. WHAT????? Who wants to return? The accommodations were not anything spectacular. We told him we just invested in property and could not afford anything else. What a waste of time.

The whole resort was full of people coming on the presentation. There was a large hall size room with well over 100 sales reps pushing the place down peoples throat. I have been to timeshare presentations in the past and they last an average of an hour and half. I have even purchased. This was one a friend had purchased and I went along with. Never again!!!!!!!

    They also make telemarketing calls from (888)685-0042. Annoying.

    They should double check who they call My number is registered on the national do not call list at donotcall.gov and i have records of them calling me 20 times in 3days which is a BIG no no

    Hello to anyone out there!

    Is there anyone available to tell me, which consequences I will have
    to face reg. cancelation of a timeshare with westgate!
    I understand I have passed the 10 days grace period, but i want to know what's will probably happened if I stop the payments. Can I have some advice? Please I will appreciate any info.

    You dont have a thing to worry, the collection they send it to if you dont pay is thier own company Pinnical and then after calling for awhile the Pinnical sends it back to westgate and does nothing (I know its the same company) it dont show on your credit report or anything, I stopped paying after finding out I was LIED to on where I can go and havnt paid them for 2 yrs, sure you get phone calls and letters so change your # so you wont have to face anything, I had to file bankruptcy for other reasons and not westgate and when I put westgate down know one knew anything of it (like it didnt exist) so dont worry and when you get a letter in the mail and its westgate, save it (cause you wont know its them till you open it) and when you get another one like it (dont open it and put (RETURN to sender dont live here) I also signed a OPT OUT paper (they can sell it to someone else like they sold someone elses share to me)

    I have been receiving phone calls from them 2 - 3 times every morning from 407 355 1180. It's pretty annoying trying to sleep in on Saturday when somebody keeps calling you at 7 am. But I could deal with that! It's just that when I do answer my phone, nobody is there and I just get a loud beeping noise.

      If you have a smartphone you can save the phone in your phone book and then block it and then that way your phone will not ring or nothing no just record that they called that is the best thing to do block it with your smartphone

    Yes, What a scam.  We have tried several times to reserve a week and was told that the times we wanted were not available. We have been getting calls now for several months and they are very annoying.  Three to Four times a day and yes all you hear at the beginning of the call is silence and yes they do call at all hours of the morning, day and evening. I did however register on the DO NOT CALL website and hopefully they will stop.

    Tired of Hearing from Westgate? Try this
    We have been getting calls from Westgate 5-8x a day for 14 months. They ask for the person who used to have our phone number. We tried for 3 months to convince them that this person no longer has the phone number AND we are on the do not call list. We have never done business with Westgate nor will we. We have never attended or contacted Westgate. We reported them on the Do Not Call website with no luck. What a joke. SO - since they wont leave us alone - we have decided to bombard them with calls. Why not - they do it to us? Turn about is fair play.  All calls to us from Westgate are auto forwarded back to them - so they call themselves 5-8x a day. In addition - we forward ALL of our other unwanted calls to them.  So now we sit back and laugh while Westgate answers the phone to all of our unwanted calls :)  (We even have Hilton timeshare in FL calling Westgate ;)  ). Hey - we tried unsuccessfully for 3 months to get them to leave us alone. They ignored us.

    Does anyone know how to get rid of the timeshare where it won't ruin your credit? My sister bought one with Westgate. This place is so gross. I had gone on vacation with her and her family. The room was dirty and the maids never cleaned the room. I didn't even want to use their pillows....the covers were so dirty!!!! They talked her into upgrading.This is sucking any money she has and now her husband doesn't work, they have 3 kids and just can't make these payments. With high interest rates and all the other expenses she's technically paid for the time share. How can she get rid of this nightmare????? Can u just give it back??? Let them just take it back and sell it. Anyone with any advice??? It will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for you responses and advice.

        Hi Bruce can you help I can't afford to keep payments no Westgate I have lost my job but have recived a debt collectors letter from westgate what do I do ????? Many thanks Robert/Diane

          Hey just ignore the debt collector paperwork Donna thing they can do is take you to court to get their money and after 5 years the state law says they can no longer collect on the money so just ignore it and don't worry about it.  P.s. and they're not stupid enough to take anybody to court because as soon as I take somebody to court is that person has to do is show him a hundred pages of bad reviews on the internet saying that they're scamming people out of money and the judge will rule in your favor you can't take them to court but they can take you to court and when they do you have a right to defend yourself..... but I don't think Westgate going to waste their money taken anybody to court because they know that they're scamming people

    Westgate lakes resorts  is a rip off the management staff sucks.Parking sucks. After 9pm Pool dirty.Refuse to help the customers. Whoever is on duty @day or night shift. You call the front desk. People gives you and attitude.seems like they hate there there job.

    I inherited my current work cellphone from somebody who left, and I get these automated calls about 10 times a week, early in the morning, at noon, end of the day. I even called back the same number to give them hell but it's an automated thing and nobody answers. I REALLY need to tell these people

    a) if it's for a bill or a stupid promotion, the previous owner of my phone went overseas and I do not keep in touch with him
    b) I have no business with Westgate
    c) I DON'T want any business with Westgate and
    d) they can go f themselves.

    If anybody has tips on how to reach these people collect or otherwise it is highly appreciated: my mail is apazeia@yahoo.com

      Send a certified letter right to the head fool Siegel at their corporate address.  I guess he needs to scam all to build that house of his.
