there is nothing you can do but change your phone number! It is a computer scam.

I have gotten an insane amount of calls from this number. 5-6 times a day for the last several weeks. I answer when they call, then no one is there. Literally I say "Hello? Hello?" And no one responds. I call the number back, and cannot get anyone on the phone. Also, I too do not have a Macy's account. What can I do to get them to stop call? I just don't know what to do! I mean, why doesn't anyone even say something when I answer the call? Are they some how getting money from me just by dialing my number? Can I report this to someone???

I have gotten a few calls over the last 2 days. I pick up and there is already disconnected. After reading the other posts I won't be answering anymore. I have a Macy's but there is no charges on it at this time.

Today is February 18th and I have been receiving calls from this number for the last several weeks. I decided to check out the number and I'm amazed at the number of responses. I do have a Macy's account; however I am not delinquent on any payments. According to the number of complaints...this number is running a scam! So I will continue to NOT answer the number.

How on earth do we stop these as I get calls each day at least 7 times, earliest 7, latest 9, never answer having found this site, but can phone company stop this?

today is Mar 10, I received several calls - 1 voicemail left, just beeps and decided to call back. The man who answered advised that they handle deliquent accounts from Macys/Bloomingdales, to which I replied that my account was not deliquent. He proceeded to say that in order for them to have my phone number my account was deliquent and he would confirm, but needed my card number. Once more I let him know my account was not deliquent and I would contact Macys directly, I would not give him my card #. The first Macys rep did advise that one payment was 2 days late back in December, but that my account was in good standing and not deliquent. I then asked to be transfered to the company that handled deliquent accounts, to which I was advised that it was an internal department of Macys and was promptly transferred. As per Tammy Jones, Macys Collection Rep, my account was not deliquent, it was not sent to an outside collection agency and the phone call was definitely not from Macys. Be alert.

Yeh this is annoying...I receive calls from this number claiming to be from MAcy's and funny thing is...I HAVE NO MACY's ACCOUNT! From Monday morning thru all day Sunday they call. It's a scam

Just got the call on one of my carry-over business lines. Answered and got a recording that stated "all of our agents are currently busy, please hold the line". Are you kidding me!?. How presumptuous and rude. I hung up and checked the number out online. Guess they are a collection agent. I've owned the number they called for over 3yrs and I don't owe any money so obviously they are working from old records.

Same thing...7 calls from (513)573-8739 yesterday, from 2pm to 10pm. I don't answer calls from unknown numbers, and no one left a message. I am not, nor have I ever been, involved in Macy's in any way. This number is definitely not a legitimate organization.

OK - been getting calls at WORK and at HOME - when you go and pick it up.. no one answers.(Geez is this a prank call?) Call the number and got some an Indian guy from India (? I think) and he was rude... so I hung up.. Finally - looked up the (513) 573-8739 number online and they are an agency working for Macy's.... So I called Macy's (1-877-493-9207) today (Dec. 13) and asked them about this (513) number and they explained that it was a collection agency. The guy on the phone at Macy's account was nice enough to look up my account info ... and GUESS what Macy's had the WRONG spelling of my street - so I've never received a Macy's bill yet for purchases made on November 26th... He said he was sorry and reverse the late fees and sent a STOP notice to the collection agency. Hopefully that works.. CRAZY... (I have a FICO score of 801!!! maybe LOWER now because of this goof up in spelling!!)

This phone # 513 573 8739 calls at least 10 times a day and I only owed them 15 dollars. I paid 3 days late. and I will pay the late fee, but I forgot to pay because my husband was in the hospital. when they call they do not say a word and then the line starts giving a busy signal. I cannot believe they can do this. have your credit report run it will say yolu are 60 days late.. and I only paid 3 days late. I suggest every one boycott Macys. At least do not use their credit card. I thought it was against the law to harress a person if they are late paying their bills.

This number calls me non-stop all the time, drumming up all kinds of accounts for various individuals whom I've never heard of, ranging from a middle-aged young guy (same person all the time) who is either trying to sell me stuff or trying to get personal info regarding some unknown so called bill for someone else? Really? Impossible to block!
