We just found out that Enterprise is suing us for alleged damage to a car that we rented in 2004 and that appears was sideswiped after we parked it after hours, at their office. They did not contact us until 6 weeks later, and then said that the person who logged in the car no longer worked for them. We wrote a letter at the time denying the claim, and have heard nothing for several years until being served with a lawsuit.

Geez, I was dumb enough to rent one covered in pollen only to find after it rained it looked like a gorilla had it's way with it.  I was purposely deceived and hopefully State Farm will deny the claim.  The same happened to my cousin with Enterprise and it was denied.  There are so many of these I am curious on how they stay in business.  Should be catching up to them soon.  I am waiting on a National news show to do a report.  I was a loyal customer but, not any more.  I am trying to talk to a friend to keep them from renting one from enterprise.  My wife was also deceived by Enterprise about cost of fuel when she returned a rental.  Enterprise has been the most despicable and deceiving company I have dealt with in a long time.

Enterprise rental in Pasadena, CA gave me a contract with several key things missing: type of car (make and model), mileage going out of the lot, no gas, whether or not it was damaged and did not give me the rate of $140 a week which they advertised which I asked for. They could have charged me for just about anything so I kept the vehicle until they could give me the advertised price and had me arrested for "embezzlement of a vehicle" in Las Vegas, NV. The D.A out there didn't pursue it because more than likely, even he knew it was a B.S charge. In the midst of it, Jason Nicholas and Jeff Von Reider (employees at the branch) tried to add me on Facebook. Folks, Enterprise Auto Rental is ran by a bunch of immature college students who are spun out of their mind from too much Red Bull. If this actually goes on my credit report, I will do two things: one, challenge it which I'm sure all three agencies will remove once I show them the contract and two, possibly present them with a lawsuit. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CROOKS!

I am having a similar problem with the Enterprise car rental location on Sudley Road in Manassas, VA.  I had a rental car from them for a total of 18 hours and only drove it 15.5 miles, and they are claiming I damaged the car.  There is ABSOLUTELY no way that car was damaged while it was in my possession. They are crooks and are committing FRAUD.  I have since found out that Enterprise is NOTORIOUS for falsely claiming damage to their cars, and many times claiming the same damage was done by several different renters.  Their managers are ENCOURAGED and EXPECTED to do this, and are financially rewarded for it.  This is out and out ILLEGAL and must be stopped!!  To everyone who is reading this:  please inform your family, friends and acquaintances of Enterprise's fraudulent and illegal activities and encourage them to NEVER rent from Enterprise, and to pass the word on to their family, friends, and acquaintances!

I did ding the rear bumper of my Enterprise rental by backing into some bushes in my daughter's driveway. I left $250 deposit on damages and the clerk suggested that this would be plenty and that I might get some refund. I received the bill in the mail a few days ago. They want another $510.  In addition to a $100 administrative fee, the itemized bill says "replace bumper" as well as "overhaul bumper." Aren't those two things mutually exclusive?  I would think if a bumper was replaced that it would not need an overhaul?  Any ideas?

    Claim # 02317559

On Jan 06, 2012 I rented a car from Enterprise from the Atlanta Airport. Less be clear my rental date was before 1/06/12 I had switched out of two cars already because the previous cars that was given was defective. On 1/06/12 I returned back to Enterprise because the car that was given didn't feel right it was shacking and I was told to bring the car back. Once I got to the Enterprise the Manager claimed to do a walk around and once that the lower passenger from bumper had a dent in it and the hubcap on the front passenger side was damaged as well. I explained to the Manager that when I received the rental myself nor the Manager did a walk around because the manager had the car waiting for me and all I had to do was sign paperwork and take off with the car. The amount of the damages that Enterprise is attempting to recover is $997.08. I have spoken to the Risk Manager Paula from the airport who was not helpful and very rude, also I have been going back and forward with the representative   Jeffrey B. Allison who is totally rude and stated that he was going to make sure he find me responsible for damage. Enterprise and this location is known for filing false claims. Be aware. I will not pay for damages I didn't cause. I’ve been renting with Enterprise for years and this is the first and last time I would ever do business with this company or any of its umbrella companies which is National and Alamo.

Well my truck got a little wet from Hurricane Gustave....up to the top of the doors. My insurance co rented me a car from the thieving, lying, criminal, horrible, disgusting, deceiving, rotten to the core, should be in jail ENTERPRISE RENTAL people. When I rented it, it just came in. The car was Very dirty, kinda muddy and smelled inside (I think they must have had a dead body in the trunk) Well Enterpricks and I did a "Walk Around"...I pointed out a few dings and the lady just waved her hand like "don't worry about it" So I brought it back 5 days later. I had washed it and noticed a scuff mark on the right side door trim. It may as well been almost a total car loss according to them when I brought it back. They charged my insurance over 1800 bucks and tried to DOUBLE collect by sending me a bill for around 3000. Now I have bill collectors calling me. I had my insurance send me a copy of the check they got and the Demand letter to collect from me.......Guess what, I'm going to sue them. And they messed up my excellent credit rating. What Son-Of-A-[***] they are. I have a Super attorney....... I was reading where they rented a faulty car they knew about and the girls car caught on fire and they got hit by a Big Rig and died. Can you believe ENTERPRICKS fought this in court for years. They lost but it didn't bring the girls back. They Are Truly Pricks. Don't know how they sleep at night. Bet they all get a bonus for Flucking over people that probably are already Stressed from having to rent a car. Sometimes I think the insurance co's are in it together....I really do. They will Burn in Hell for what they do. But before that.....Lock Them Up! I rest my case

Wow, this is so upsetting to read the experiences that happened through Enterprise, well today was a day I will ever use Enterprise Wayne, NJ again. After doing almost $1000 a month in business for a few months I was using Enterprise cars to shuttle my clients. I always got the CWD, until one day Shelley who gave me some advice that ended up screwing me, secretly she pulled me as we were inspecting vehicle and she told me "don't get the CWD, you don't travel much with the vehicle and you only rent one day at time, CWD is good if you will have car for weekly use." OK. I save $20 and I never had accident in life. So I return the vehicle to Shelley 2/17/13, all checks out well, yesterday 2/21/13 I rent from same Enterprise, I rent a Yukon I look it over and noticed many scratches and one lil MINOR ding that didn't get brought up because Enterprise reps said damage had to bigger than golf ball, this minor ding 1 was not caused by me, Alexis checked it out, and when she asked if I was going to cover the car I declined, she thought I was insane but I went off Shelley's recommendation which I didn't want to throw her under the bus at the time. So 24 hours later I return the SUV and Alexis claims that I made that damage that I really thought was so minor to not report and she passed it and didnt notice, there was times I pointed out defects and they didn't mark it saying dont worry not major as in this claim they are putting out, Well I sure got screwed over with Shelley's advice, its like Alexis and Shelley set this up because they know the amount of times I rent a week for an SUV, I been conned by the Wayne Enterprise and I haven't got the bill yet but from what Im reading, even for a minor dent I KNOW FOR FACT I did not do it going to cost me. Im upset beyond belief, safe driver for over 20 years and full trust of the Alexis and specially Shelley who really is going to set me back. Its upsetting because I always for the full coverage but from the advice that I got was bad, and when I confronted Shelley with why did you tell me not get CWD and now m screwed, she lied and denied she told me that. BBB and insurance commisioners will  here about this, so please people, take the CWD and look at your car and make them note every scratch, i was so trusting that they would not screw me royally like I did, thank Shelley.

It's like deja vu on here....I'm seeing the same exact story repeated over and over. The same thing happened to me in October of last year and I'm still fighting it! I was in an accident on the way to work, and ended up with my car in the shop that afternoon and a rental car from Enterprise the next day. The whole experience was fine at first, they did a walk-around with my rental, gave me paperwork to sign, and offered me extra insurance, which I declined, since Geico was paying for my rental and that extra insurance would have to be paid out of pocket by me. There were minor scratches on the car but nothing else big was wrong with it. I returned the rental car to the auto body shop where my car was repaired about 5 days later. When I returned the car, someone from Enterprise was there to take my keys but didn't do a walk-around or anything, just said you're good to go, and sent me on my way. I thought that was it until I received a phone call around Thanksgiving telling me that I was responsible for damages to the rental car. Literally a month later! I contested this with an Enterprise Damage Recovery Unit person and she "investigated" but still ultimately found me responsible, and even admitted that it was quite unusual to have the month-long lag time between the damage and my notification of it. This has now gone on for 7 months, back and forth. Got my Geico agent involved to fight it for me and she basically didn't make any progress even after requesting proof that they obviously couldn't provide, they're still holding me responsible. Even got a revised bill for $500 (original charges were $700) because they waived some of the fees for me. Shady. Now I'm getting letters that say they're sending me to collections and putting me on a do not rent list. They aren't getting one cent from me, ever. This was seriously ridiculous in every way. Basically they are just total crooks!!!! NEVER RENTING FROM THEM AGAIN!

Enterprise is the worst and most unethical organization I have ever dealt with! I had a reservation for 9am on 8/20 to pickup my rental car. I arrived slightly before 9am and showed my license, my reservation/confirmation number, and my debit card with a MasterCard logo. I was then told I need proof of my employer? I was never told I need proof of my employer but I needed the car so I could visit my family so I agreed to go get it. I left and got the requested information to verify my employment and returned to the establishment. I took in the information and presented it to Marvinn Bascos(Assistant Branch manager at the 6223 N 9th Ave Pensacola, FL location). He then told me I need two utility bills to prove my residency. I was never told this either but I held my cool and figured he was discriminating on me because of my color. I said ok and left to get the documentation. So, I returned now with my confirmation number, driver license, proof of my work, two utility bills, proof of insurance, and my credit card. Marvinn Bascos (the worst human I ever met) said thanks for getting the information but your reservation was for 9am so we rented out your car. First, I was here before 9am before I was sent on a wild goose chase! He said the only cars left are for people who have reservations and bring all the required paperwork. I could not believe he said that. So, let me get this straight. The next person who comes in to pick up their car will have a confirmation number, driver license, proof of their work, two utility bills, proof of insurance, and their credit card. Funny because I was never told that is the information I would have to bring to pickup my car. I was told to bring a credit card and my license. Now, he blames me like it's my fault he rented my car out instead of taking ownership and admitting to a mistake. So, at this point I am upset and take one of his cards off the desk and tell him to write the corporate phone number on the back. He then tells me it's the same number. I said your corporate office is located in this same building that is interesting. He then backpedals and says Rick West is the corporate contact. I asked for his number and he laughs and says I told you how to reach him. I then said I know you are lying to me and Rick West is not corporate but ok where is he I would love to talk with him. He laughs again and said he is out of the office. So let me get this straight. You blame me for giving my car away and ruining my plans, you send me on a wild goose chase all day, you lie about the corporate phone number, you lie about who is in charge at corporate(rick west), and now you are laughing at me because you don't think I have any recourse and you won. What a great example to set for the new girl that was watching in amazement. Well Mr. Marvin Bascos I will make a complaint everyday to make sure people are informed of how you stereotype and discriminate on people that's a different color. If one person decides to rent from another location it makes my 365 post worthwhile. Have a great day. Another lost customer...

Enterprise defrauded me of £300 by claiming I was responsible for an 8" scratch that mysteriously appeared on the front bumper of the hire car on the morning I returned it. Conveniently there was a repair and respray tent sitting on the forecourt that very day!

Enterprise then duped me into signing what they now claim was an "accident report". I was given to understand that I was signing to confirm that I had no idea how the damage occurred and recognised no liability whatever. Only when they sent the document did I realise that they had fabricated an accident that supposedly occurred at 8:00 that morning to explain the damage.

Only it was only at the same point a month later when I got my credit card bill that I realised that Enterprise had without any authorisation debited my account for £300! No receipt was ever received for the transaction and the company do not even deign to answer my complaints.

Stay well clear of Enterprise. I can only assume they have friends in high political places to get away with this fraudulent scam on both sides of the Atlantic.

Had to rent from enterprise when my car was in the shop due to another driver. Enterprise straight up lied and said my insurance wouldn't cover their car, so I was tricked into taking their insurance, but they also charged me for 4 days that I didn't even have the car. Long story short enterprise rent a car is NOTHING but a rip off and I would never rent there.
