It would appear after speaking with my transmission mechanic that the Claims Services part of my Drivers Choice warranty, arbitrarilay denies all claims submitted.  My wife recently encountered problems with our 1999 Honda CRV transmission when it began slipping out of 4th gear... (she is a 58  year old grandmother and has never been off roading) When the vehicle was taken to the shop and transmission evaluated, it appeared that a shaft, inside the transmission had shattered causing a crack in the casing and breaking other internal parts of the transmission.  The people at checkaclaim.com for the warranty serice denied the claim as, "case (as point of failure) incidental and consequential damange is not covered."
Obvious to myself, the person dening the claim either has no knowledge of a working transmission or is instructed to deney all claims, as they assumed that the transmission failure was due to case failure.  Once again, the failure as reported by the mechanic was a shaft shattering internal to the transmission causing crack in casing and damage to internal gears.
I will appeal this again until they get someone who knows what they are doing.  Additionally I will ask for a refund of monies paid in full up front for the warranty and will be turning the matter over to the California Consumer Affairs Department, the California State Insurance Commissioner, and any other government bodies that handle purchase and license of vehicles.

I guess one should say buyer beware.  When offered a warranty when purchasing a vehicle new or used.... just say no... especially if it's "Drivers Choice."

You can add me as a victim as well. Transmission failed for sheared teeth in the sun shell. I had 4 certified transmission specialist including the GM dealership all state this was a manufactures defect. Claim denied. I talked to AA Auto Protection who sold me Consumer Direct Warranty Service policy over a year ago. They no longer sell CDWS policies for this very reason. They stated CDWS is a scam artist. My transmission cost me $1780 for the repair and $1560 for the policy.

I am a service advisor. Two of my customers have this warranty. Advisor must file claim online. After wating 5 hours for a reply I contacted the warranty co. Re submitted online and faxed a copy at their requiest. After waiting 24 hours after claim started the warranty company asked for all customer maintenance receipts from when warranty was puchased to now. If customer cannot produce documents within 2 working days the claim will be closed. If your window motor fails or a part in the transmission fails(which are listed on contract as covered) the warranty rep clearly stated the claim will not be approved without all maintenance receipts(even engine oil changes) DO NOT BUY THIS WARRANTY-PUT THE MONEY IN A BANK ACCOUNT OR THROW IT IN THE OCEAN.

This company should be put on a "Consumer Watchdog List"...which is what we are going to pursue.  They are a fraud.  After numerous of auto drafting my bank account (yes, stupid idea) they are no where to be found.  Bank has said we authorized..so no refund.  Always check integrity of the company before buying anything through the internet, telephone, mail, etc.  If it's too good to be true--It is!  We are going to small claims court.

I too have just been had by the Warranty Administration Services.  They have not denied any claims, the just don't respond to the repair facilitys after an initial fax.  I will be contacting the attorney generals office as well as BBB, Consumer Watchdog and any other organizations that can help get these scammers off of the internet.

After filling it out twice that day and again today, I get "message failed" at the end. Called the company back.....guess what? No return call. Absolute JOKE this company is!!
Please consumers, research your aftermarket Warranty companies before purchaise.

We just got denied our claim too, saying Policy is INACTIVE and to contact ORIGINAL SELLER Of my policy, so I've got a call into the company I bought from in Florida.  Please include my wife and I in any lawsuits, etc that you need help in. I'm still trying to resolve this matter, I provided ALL the maintenance records, COMPUTER PRINTED!!!, like they requested, so I'm wondering what snake oil they actually sold us.  Our email is KimberlyandSperos@gmail.com if you need our help.  I'll keep everyone posted, but it doesn't appear that we have much movement without filing complaints...WHICH I will begin doing, all the same time as giving our van back to my bank, because we can't afford another $1500 to pay for our transmission repairs.........I'd rather have them repo the car, and I can buy a used car that's running for $1500.

    Folks,

I encountered the same problems with Driver's Choice/Warranty Administration Services. Repeated denials even though the diagnosis was failed synchronizers in my VW transmission which is listed as covered in the contract. Can anyone tell me how to include my name on the list on the class action suit if there is one?
