It would appear after speaking with my transmission mechanic that the Claims Services part of my Drivers Choice warranty, arbitrarilay denies all claims submitted.  My wife recently encountered problems with our 1999 Honda CRV transmission when it began slipping out of 4th gear... (she is a 58  year old grandmother and has never been off roading) When the vehicle was taken to the shop and transmission evaluated, it appeared that a shaft, inside the transmission had shattered causing a crack in the casing and breaking other internal parts of the transmission.  The people at checkaclaim.com for the warranty serice denied the claim as, "case (as point of failure) incidental and consequential damange is not covered."
Obvious to myself, the person dening the claim either has no knowledge of a working transmission or is instructed to deney all claims, as they assumed that the transmission failure was due to case failure.  Once again, the failure as reported by the mechanic was a shaft shattering internal to the transmission causing crack in casing and damage to internal gears.
I will appeal this again until they get someone who knows what they are doing.  Additionally I will ask for a refund of monies paid in full up front for the warranty and will be turning the matter over to the California Consumer Affairs Department, the California State Insurance Commissioner, and any other government bodies that handle purchase and license of vehicles.

I guess one should say buyer beware.  When offered a warranty when purchasing a vehicle new or used.... just say no... especially if it's "Drivers Choice."

The comments I have read about AA Auto Protection has scared me. Once again I believed someone is honest but to my dismay I have read they have been and are reported to be scam artist. I can't believe there aren't more people who are honest and can be trusted. The quest for the all mighty dollar never fails for most people's interest. Shame on me for trusting a business who is reported to have cost so many people dearly because their claims were conveniently denied for a profitable business. Thank you for the heads up Monday I am notify AA Auto Protection of our cancellation. No one can afford to throw hard earned money down a rat hole!

Add another victim to the list.  Just got stung for $1500 dollars worth of work at my local Toyota dealer.  The service department said the 2 items clearly should have been under warranty.

I would welcome any advice on how to pursue legally (class action or otherwise).   kirk.kuzirian@yahoo.com

Ditto me. I paid almost $1000 bucks for coverage which I tried to use a couple of times over the past 3 years -- all denied. Now the vehicle is totalled and the price of the policy is supposed to be refunded. I have emailed, called and faxed every available email address, phone and fax number repeatedly for more than a week with zero responses.

If somebody files a class action I am definitely in. I was counting on that refund to help pay for the replacement car, and now I'm a grand in the hole on it!

I want my money back from these [***].

Anyone have an idea how to start a damn lawsuit???  As I mentioned back in January, we got rooked for $2000 transmission, this past week our fuel pump went out, another $600 for that (suposedly covered) in the original warranty, but this is insane that these jerks aren't being held accountable.  Is there even ONE GOOD report of them paying a claim on this end??  Add my email to: sperosv@yahoo.com.  Thanks.

Where are these thieves hiding now.  The bummer truly is, is that warranty businesses as well as any insurance companies, are the biggest legal racket in America today.  What other business anywhere can you discriminate by age, sex, where you live and the list goes on.  Just look up the whereabouts of previous insurance commissioners; that will indicate just how knowingly failed this unregulated business is.

    ford f-150
I am having this same problem with an extended warranty company United Services Protection in St Petersburg, Fl.  I purchased a Ford F-150 and this extended warranty from Direct Auto Exchange in Tallahassee, Fl.  I changed tires on the truck to tires, which did not lift the truck at all.  They also happen to be thinner tires with a bigger rim, so the diameter of the new tires and factory tires are about the same.  The book they gave with the warranty paperwork just states oversized tires, but it doesn't specify what the size of oversized would be.  I have only put 5947 miles on the truck since purchase because I had it less than a year.  The transmission has went out and the Ford mechanic shop states it had nothing to do with the tires, but the extended warranty company denied the claim stating that is the reason without even listening to me telling them the tires have only been changed two months.  I am looking into going to small claims court with this company, so please be aware of United Services Protection as well.
