A Shane Laurel called from 214-254-4865.
He preceeds to say that he is a processor needing to serve me legal papers to appear in Dallas County Courts and a signature is required with a photo id.  He has called 3 times in the last few weeks.

    Typical debt collection shakedown racket.

Threats of a nonexistent lawsuit are illegal, violating FDCPA, but the goal is to extort payment without any proof it's owed to these jerks.

There is no reason for any process server to routinely have to show up at your place of work iwth a "uniformed officer".  It would be cheaper to just hire an off-duty deputy to serve you directly.

Your post contains the following "details" consistent with an attempt to use your "story" to influence and deceive consumers regarding "legal process":
      1) Various "details" to sound like what you think will appear "real"
      2)  Attempt to sound like what you think are your typical victims, like "I thought it was typical collection shakedown tactics".
      3)  Confused "events" or timeline.  supposedly you have to "go to court", yet you "have to pay the state of florida 3600.00 in attorney fees".  Well which is it?  and how would that be exactly "3600.00"?  And why pay the "state of florida", rather than this "attorney", as would be normal practice with a real court judgement?  And you have to pay this, even though you haven't yet gone "to court"....
      4)  Your were totally embarassed" and "almost lost [your] job".

      You are a shill, idiot.

yeah, they also told me there was a process server with a uniformed officer coming to my place of employment between 2 and 4. I told them I would meet them out front at 4:30. it 5 3 days later and I am still waiting.
