Received call from Christy with Credit Card Systems going on about how they have finally reached me and this is the last call before they closed my file.  She could save me a $1,000 and wanted to ask a few questions.  The phone number on the caller ID appeared as a local cell phone number.  I declined to participate and she ended the call.  I called the number back and reached a lady with a very different voice who was not aware her number was being spoofed to make these calls.

    Why do I get several of these calls all in one day, and then a break for a couple of days?  Christy with Credit Card Systems or Christy with Travel Promotions, using local phone numbers.  Always the same spiel - been trying to call me, finally reached me, this is final call (it never is) wants answers to questions to see if I still qualify for a lower interest rate on my credit card.  I block the number and then minutes later I get the same call from another local number.  Crazy.  How does this spoofing work?  By answering their call, am I providing my number for them to spoof?

    I have blocked so many calls from the 321 area code, but they keep calling using other numbers.  This is annoying.  How can consumers not these calls.  They are getting on my nerve. 321-427-8770, 321-349-8019, 321-427-5329, 321-427-6132.  Enough already.

    If you are called by a live spammer, tell them you are hard of hearing and ask they call you at a different number. Then give them the number of the local police NON-EMERGENCY number or your Senate/House rep's local office number. Have that number sitting by the phone so you don't have to look it up.

    "Christy" has called me, using various local businesses phone numbers, and ALWAYS a local number.
    I didn't realize that  she has so many phones to harass us all!

    "Christy" now calling me in S Fla using spoofed 941 numbers, multiple times daily.
