My compliant is based on their phishing via telephone cold calling techniques at night and on weekends with no legitimate reason.. IE, they
make calls to numbers without knowing who they are calling and ask for
name and SSN over the telephone with no disclosure of why they are calling.

One can only assume it is a "Phishing" exercise to obtain names and
SSN's for apparent reason other than they have some sort of scam going.

Additionally, I am on the do not call national registry so they are
quick to point out that they are not marketing or selling... and they do
not attest to any company/customer legitimacy to their actions... so one
can discern that they are on some sort of phishing exercise... asking
for name and SSN's.

They fall into the "harassment call" category as they call late at night
and on weekends.. and do not take no for an answer.

I cannot grant any legitimacy to their disguise as being some sort of
collection agency since I have no such debts in arrears and they do not
even know who they are calling... just a phone number as if it was a
boiler room operation.

I have a student loan that defaulted years ago (I admit it) But I am trying to get a hold of someone now to set up payment arrangements as I am trying to improve my credit, and want to start getting my debts paid off. After being referred to many different companies, that my loan was sold to, I ended up with Premier Credit so far it is the last one the problem is, every number I call (and I have called MANY different numbers) I get one ring then a busy signal.....So how does someone that wants to pay off their debt, get a hold of someone to arrange a payment plan??

I had some tickets that i was paying on. I agreed to pay and asked on serveral occasions was this going to affect my credit. was assured it would not. I got a notification from the credit breau that an account had been placed there for this debt. I called and spoke with several angry people. I asked them they have an automatic payment coming out of my checking account biweekly and was advised would not go on my credit and they are saying that they will not retract. I am verry upset these people talk to you as if you are an idiot or a peice of crap on their shoe. I asked for a supervisor and they said there was none above him. I am filing a complaint with the attorney general. Anyone have any problems with them on this front?

Someone from Premier Credit left 4 messages on 4 consecutive days while I was away on vacation,   on my work phone number, which I have no idea how they obtained seeing as I work for the federal government myself. I called the number and was asked for my name and birthdate. The birthdates didn't match up and the woman I spoke to confirmed that they had made a mistake and removed my number from their database. She was reasonable and friendly about it.

Premier Credit has called my home repeatedly looking for someone who happens to have the same last name as me. They have harassed me at all hours and have called me vulgar names because, according to them, I'm lying and won't give up the wherabouts of this person. Now they have started calling my 85 year old mom who lives in another state, asking for this same person. She has an unlisted phone number! So, this must mean they looked me up some how and illegally obtained my persoanl information adnd are now harassing my mom at all hours of the night. Oh yes - it's always late at night. I hav to do something about this - this is authority run amuk! Some egotistical [***] is violating my privacy to the extreme. Filing a complaint with the State Attorney's office hasn't accomplished anything. Next step a lawyer? It's almost scary what power they have been allowed to have!

If you call them back you will be right where they want you to be. Ignore the calls - it is that easy.

I keep telling them  they have the wrong number.  They do have the wrong number, I have had this phone for 40 years-am now 65 years old-they must not believe it- and keep calling.  The name  they ask for  is not me.  I get phone calls for a man and a woman---- must of given out my number.

I have gotten repeated phone calls from this number as well as another Premier Credit number: 877-938-7654 and then after they use that number I immediately will receive an "out of area' call which rings up to 20 times.

I don't ever answer any phone numbers I don't know or don't recognize, but I do look up on line to see who is calling.  I am glad I am not answering these numbers.  I have no unpaid student loans nor have I ever taken out a student loan in my life.  I paid for my education and never asked the government for help.

Years back I was naïve and did answer the phone only to find the caller was disturbingly rude and crude.......even using profanity. When I tried to nicely tell them the person they were seeking doesn't  live here nor had I ever even heard of the name before they said it, they would hang up, yet call again and again, and again totally disregarding what I had already told them previously.  So now I have wised up and no longer answer any numbers I don't recognize.  It is nothing but harassment especially when the one they are calling doesn't owe a collection agency one dime and never has.
