I just wanted to let you know sand Castle field services havent turned out to be a very good company to work for.I have worked several yaers for them and  helped them out by running some long distant inspections including south alabama and Mississippi.I ran one to Woodville,Ms and they stated it was the wrong address and gave me Google maps ,which was also wrong. The orginal job i did, had a neighbor verify telling me i was at the correct address.I agreed to reun it free if it were my fault, but told them it would take a few days being it was 175 miles away. They decided to reassign and I guess they got mad and told me they no longer needed my services due to too many dissreptancies is how they stated it.I cant think of more than one or two issues in the last few yaers with addresses in which i completed as free if being my fault. They must have forgot about 2 years ago when i ran some loss mitigation work and they tried to scam out of paying me when thy said i didnt follow instructions but truth be know i did.I had to go to upper management to get paid for it.Now again i express they beg me to help on these long distant jobs yet they pay little like 40 or 45 for thse over 100 miles jobs. Not a good company to contract with.

Thank you for all of the constructive feedback.  We're definitely listening and we are constantly trying to improve our processes based on the input that we receive from our field reps.

As we continue to grow, we're always looking for new field representatives.  We do our best to negotiate mutually beneficial fees for any services performed and allow representatives to set their fees and their coverage area.  Although our clients require that we validate that services are performed accurately and on time, we do our best to give our agents the flexibility to work on their own schedule.  If you'd like more information, please feel free to "contact us".

Absolutely the overall best company I have worked for in this industry. They are fair...provide a reasonable workload...and will negotiate on assignments out of my immediate area. The only improvements I would like to see is a Mobile App and possible a faster payment option!

I do several orders for Sand Castle Field Services each week (approx. 15 or so per week) and I have no complaints at all. The staff is always friendly and helpful, my pay is consistent and reliable and while this is not my primary job it is extremely helpful in paying for my daughter to go to college. I would recommend SCFS to anyone looking for additional work.

What do you charge?  How far will you drive?  What type of jobs do you do for them?

I have been working for Sandcastle for 4 weeks now and have nothing but good things to say. If they send you an assignment outside your regular area and the fees are too low, you negotiate a higher fee if possible or you don't take the job, its that simple. I cover 108 zip codes and usually get 3 to 5 assignments a week, with more per week promised as time goes by. This adds up to good money in the long run. A typical drive for me is 30 minutes one way with maybe 10 minutes of actual "field visit / inspection time". If I plan my assignment routes wisely, I waste very little time and cut the driving down to a minimum, maximizing my "per hour rate". After working 30 years in law enforcement, I actually think this job is very easy and actually fun.

I have worked for Sand Castle for some time now, and have done close to 100 Field Visits.  They have ALWAYS PAYED ON TIME, and my calls to them have always been helpful.  I plan on working with the a LOOOOOOOOONG time. You can't count on anyone Field Service to keep you loaded with work.  I would recommend a good home study course on how to set up and run a business!!!!

Question.  Is this company delivering foreclosure papers?  Is their any animosity when you see the customers?  Basically is it safe to deliver paperwork or hostel environment.  I work for an appraisal company now and this might be a good way to supplement my income.

Sand Castle has been very professional and punctual with their payments.  Their agents are always there to help you.  I have no complaints about them but great things to say about them.

Thanks for inviting feedback publicly. Let it be known, however, that you may not get any acknowledgment whatsoever if you have a complaint. My complaint is the forced paid background check. I am a Notary Public, and a Certified Signing Agent. As such, I am required by State Law, to undergo an extensive check every five years, and by mandate of the NNA and most lenders that I work for, to undergo annual checks.

When I was a brand new inspector, I considered there may be some cost of entry, and so I complied with SFS's requirement. I paid $50 for this check. After asking twice, I finally received a copy of the report that I paid for. Unfortunately, there has not been more than 2 assignments for me this past year. I have offered several zip codes of coverage, yet I got no offers past the first month. My fee requests are in line with the 8-10 other companies that I now perform a variety of inspections for. But SFS asks that I either expand my coverage area (lower pay due to longer travel times in rural areas), Or drop my fees. I would have let this this slide and just swallowed the senseless $50 background check. But it i insulting to be asked to drive further and accept less pay, even though I am well experienced and fully vetted by the other companies (and Secretary of State for Ohio, my true "boss"). I am sorry, but I can only see this as a scam to raise money bu selling background screening reports.. No one else demands additional background screening. And this is the only nationwide company that cannot seem to find work for me. the half dozen or so other companies did not require any money from me. And they all have work in the same zip codes that I provided SFS.

    Current Agent
ok so there are several issues I have been an agent of there for several years . seems the forum is on the payroll too or so new they are just now scraping the surface. When direct deposit became available i signed up for it . I did not realize that by doing that i would get my money five days later . so  i called in and had it changed back to check and now they do not send out till the last minute causing more delay in getting the money. Also i am in charge of running three different businesses so time is valuable and can not afford delays in communication. SO when they sent me emails i could answer the email and answer them and poof if was taken care of so now they send me emails via a do not reply system witch makes me have to call them or log into site to answer them causing communication problems . Now You are suppose to have 48 hours to  run assignments however if its 1159 pm when you receive it they only give you the next day till midnight to turn in before late . Now i log in to site to upload results and they have a message on mine that says you can not complete or upload results until you call in . I mean are you kidding me .

I worked for SCFS for two months, they were the first company I contracted with. Once I got established and learned the business, I found SCFS to be at the bottom of the barrel. First off, their pay is a fraction of what a good chase company will pay, they will not pay travel and will expect you to travel 40 - 50 miles for 10 - 15 dollars. Now with the companies I am contracted with, I would have to run 5 SCFS jobs to get the same pay I get from just one job from my current contracts.
They are OK to start with, you will learn from the jobs. But there are so many other companies out there who pay much better, don't micro manage your progress, and don't charge for background checks. If a company asks for you to pay for a background check, walk away, the good paying reputable companies do not charge for this.

I am new to this business and need the work. If you can supply other companies I would appreciate the help. I am doing some for SCFS but not enough. I live in East Texas and can travel if it is worth the time.
