I just wanted to let you know sand Castle field services havent turned out to be a very good company to work for.I have worked several yaers for them and helped them out by running some long distant inspections including south alabama and Mississippi.I ran one to Woodville,Ms and they stated it was the wrong address and gave me Google maps ,which was also wrong. The orginal job i did, had a neighbor verify telling me i was at the correct address.I agreed to reun it free if it were my fault, but told them it would take a few days being it was 175 miles away. They decided to reassign and I guess they got mad and told me they no longer needed my services due to too many dissreptancies is how they stated it.I cant think of more than one or two issues in the last few yaers with addresses in which i completed as free if being my fault. They must have forgot about 2 years ago when i ran some loss mitigation work and they tried to scam out of paying me when thy said i didnt follow instructions but truth be know i did.I had to go to upper management to get paid for it.Now again i express they beg me to help on these long distant jobs yet they pay little like 40 or 45 for thse over 100 miles jobs. Not a good company to contract with.

As we continue to grow, we're always looking for new field representatives. We do our best to negotiate mutually beneficial fees for any services performed and allow representatives to set their fees and their coverage area. Although our clients require that we validate that services are performed accurately and on time, we do our best to give our agents the flexibility to work on their own schedule. If you'd like more information, please feel free to "contact us".
When I was a brand new inspector, I considered there may be some cost of entry, and so I complied with SFS's requirement. I paid $50 for this check. After asking twice, I finally received a copy of the report that I paid for. Unfortunately, there has not been more than 2 assignments for me this past year. I have offered several zip codes of coverage, yet I got no offers past the first month. My fee requests are in line with the 8-10 other companies that I now perform a variety of inspections for. But SFS asks that I either expand my coverage area (lower pay due to longer travel times in rural areas), Or drop my fees. I would have let this this slide and just swallowed the senseless $50 background check. But it i insulting to be asked to drive further and accept less pay, even though I am well experienced and fully vetted by the other companies (and Secretary of State for Ohio, my true "boss"). I am sorry, but I can only see this as a scam to raise money bu selling background screening reports.. No one else demands additional background screening. And this is the only nationwide company that cannot seem to find work for me. the half dozen or so other companies did not require any money from me. And they all have work in the same zip codes that I provided SFS.
They are OK to start with, you will learn from the jobs. But there are so many other companies out there who pay much better, don't micro manage your progress, and don't charge for background checks. If a company asks for you to pay for a background check, walk away, the good paying reputable companies do not charge for this.
