    I had a similar experience with Jay Apsey's scam but in health care.  Looks like he has moved on to other things. Best to stay away from him.  He has alias of Mark or Jay Apsey.

    I received a call claiming to be from a car company and that i owe 5000 for my car and they were filing papers in my county courthouse .The good news was that if I give them my credit/debit card number they could make it all go away with debiting my card 200 per month. or even better if i give them 4000 right now i could save a thousand.  did some research and it turns out Norman Kalina is in the ripoff reports extensively.........He said he was from Norman Kalina law offices .his name was Michael Shannon/...

      you don't "owe" anything to this bozo for your car.

      He shows up in complaints indicating that he has represented ACA Recovery in court, as well as other reports alleging ACA later used his name on "attorney demand letters".  Not clear what his current relationship is with them.

      Why don't you call them back and ask for Mr. Kalina directly, and see how they act?
