Troy - thanks for giving me more information on this situation.  I hope and pray that this company dies soon.  We cannot allow them to steal from hard working people (especially service men and women of the armed forces).  Again, thank you.

unfortunately i (along w/ my spouse) are victims of this so-called auto warranty company.  we have thrown over a thousand dollars to auto one warranty...i just wish we discovered their scam sooner.

i spoke to an individual by the name of troy, he posted a complaint and his number.  he use to work w/ A1W but quit after realizing how the company robbed people.  Here's the link:
    https://complaintwire.org/Complaint.aspx/rPr5 ... LPgBvYAjLXpN-PA

Being in the military, I am going to seek legal advice from the base legal office.  I may even write my cancellation request on a military legal document.  Please let me know if there's any suggestions to receive a bigger refund or anything else to help.  We need to use that money for our expecting baby...hopefully we get some back.

Just some info if you all don't have them:
    Auto One Warranty
    Fax#:  949-475-9505
    Phone#:  1-800-499-4116

Again, Troy was very helpful and gave a lot of good information.  Hopefully we all can take this shady company to court and get most of our hard earned money back.

Troy is right!  I just quit there and it is a horrible job.  They lead you to beleive you are working in an INBOUND call center when it is just a machine that calls out and then you have to take the calls to 95% angry yelling customers.  Rightly so as I would hate to be on the other end.  I quit after hearing lots of people say they would remove peoples #'s from the list and never do it and then 3 of my friends asked me "Isnt that company a scam?  Is it an automated message that says your auto warranty expired or is about to expire?"  After the third friend I came online to see more and even though I was broke I quit because it is morally wrong.  The address above is correct and btw... the owner owns like 17 luxury cars.  I think he drove a bently to work on my last day.  I dont know how that guy can sleep at night...

I am in the process of trying to get my refund back. I was a bit frustrated that I was only getting a third of what I paid for it back even though I only had it for a year. I was told it was going to take 10 weeks to process my refund. 14 weeks later I called demanding my refund and they told me it was going to be another 3 to 4 weeks. This is getting ridigulous.

Is legal going to help you on this issue? I'm in the Navy stationed here at Lemoore for the time being and I just canceled my policy and was told it would be a 12-14 weeks for a refund.

Strange website.  No physical address anywhere.
    http://autoonewarranty.com/default.html

If they sold you this "auto warranty" using deceptive misrepresentations such as false statements about what it would cover, falsely claiming they were with your car manufacturer or dealer, falsely claiming "your warranty" had expired, treat it as the fraud it is.

File a fraud complaint with the LA District Attorney, FTC, CA AG, etc, based on the fraudulent misrepresentations made.

If you are within 60 days of the bank or credit card statement showing the charge, you might dispute it due to fraud, and see if your bank will reverse it.

You will probably get your "refund" when hell freezes over.

FRB Reg. E and FCBA both require your bank to investigate disputed charges only if you dispute in writing within 60 days of the statement date of the statement showing the disputed charge.

Waiting "10 to 14 weeks" makes sure over 60 days has passed from the bank or credit card statement showing their charge, which leaves you with no leg to stand on in disputing through your bank.

They just string you along long enough, and they can laugh at your refund demand since it won't be worth it for you to sue.

Here is their BBB report.  They are reported to have responded to some BBB complaints, and BBB has them "accredited", although BBB notes the nature of their deceptive practices.

354 complaints in the last 36 months.  My guess is the LA District Attorney is aware of them, hence BBB statistics that they eventually respond.

Complainants allege false or deceptive advertising, misrepresentation concerning warranty coverage, and difficulty processing claims. Customers complain the company sends out misleading solicitations advising them that their auto warranty is about to expire. Complainants report they find the information is false when they check their records, or check with their vehicle manufacturer. Many complainants report their vehicles are still under manufacturer warranties, or other warranty plans purchased from dealerships at the time of their vehicle purchase. Although the company claims to be an administrator for their vehicle manufacturer, their manufacturer denies any agreement or affiliation. Other customers complain of difficulty canceling, and extended delays in receiving refunds. The company responds to some complaints by agreeing to cancel warranty plans and issuing refunds. Allegations of deceptive sales practices are generally not addressed.

I found it strange they are trying to sell me an extended warranty when my manufacturer warranty does not expire for 2mths. Thank God I followed my gut feeling that something wasn't right. I would have AT LEAST been ripped off $300. Once they realized I was getting skeptical they say they will give me  a senior citizen discount!?!!? Another thing that triggered something strange going on here!!

    Auto One Warranty Irvine XScreener!
I worked at this place for 1 month and this was the weirdest place I have ever worked at. They go through people like nothing. A big fat lady walks around with checks and pulls people aside and fires them everyday without warning! I was let go by Todd Kanny(Republic HealthCare). Every week they hire 20 people and only a few people last(Stoners and alcoholics).  I responded to an ad on Craigslist for parttime screeners. I didn't know what I was getting into. They hire a bunch of stoners and they drink like crazy on the job. They training consisted of a grayed haired man(Scott of Steve) cracking jokes and he acting like he is on Coke. In the training one of the sales managers(Dave) said that 70% of americans of stupid and that is who they are targeting with the calls. He even said that he doesn't get why people buy warranties. I feel really bad for the people I signed up and wish I could give their money back. Anyway beware of this company they are very shady. They told me that I was unable to accomplish minimum sales goals set by company. however I signed up at least 1 person per 4 hour shift. I like sales and I feel they are giving sales people a bad name. I play to God that he forgives me for working there.

I can't believe I'm reading all these bad things about AutoOne.  I wish I had looked up this company before I signed up back in January 2009.  After reading all these complaints and scams regarding this vicious company, I'm going to call and cancel my warranty.  I should've known that it was weird that they were offering me and extended warranty that would start immediately when my factory warranty is still in effect.  BEWARE EVERYONE OF THIS AUTO ONE WARRANTY!
