Digital Star unauthorized charge
Complaint
Steve
Country: United States
A preauthorization for $74.95 from Digital Star with a bad phone number (208-123-7377) showed up on my debit card account 1/29/12. Called bank fraud department and had the account killed immediately. They stopped the charge since it had not completed. Do not know who Digital Star is or what the charge was for. I use the card for online purchases mainly through Amazon. No purchases in the last 30 dqays. However, I placed orders in the last 60 days from a company called Turncraft (woodworking plans), Personal Creations, and Entirely Pets. I wonder what companies others have used recently.

But this site claims they were "dissolved" on 1-29-12.

The fraudulent charges started appearing a couple days before they supposedly "dissolved".

That presumably means that something else was filed with that date attached, that would have been caught by whatever search www.companiesintheuk.co.uk employs to collect data.
Other documents are consistent with dissolving the LLC.

Thank you for all who posted here! My bank card is now canceled and Chase will be investigating. I have used this card to purchase from Amazon but not recently.
The same numbers followed Digital Star as you had. It pays to check your bill.
If there are later problems, often the end result hinges on whether you notified them timely.
You want proof of that notification, via your copy of your letter, and your certified receipt.
In the future, do not use, or even activate, debit cards. It is safer to use credit cards. The banks do not protect your interests as well as they protect their own.
