Fraud and misrepresentation - Dish network

I shopped for a dish network package and I purchased a promotion package that was offered through a Dish network authorized dealer.  The package was valued at $22.95 a month.  The sales person I spoke to (who refused to give me his full name) assured me there were no more charges except for installation fee which I accepted and was billed to my credit card.  When I received my first billing, it showed something completely different; A bill for $107 (2 months worth) but even if you add it up it does not make sense.  I contacted the billing department of Dish network to get clarification and they explained to me the package was actually $39.95 a month plus several other charges that were never disclosed to me or made aware of. Bottom line is that Dish Network could not explain what happened and want me to go back to the dealer. The dealer wants me to go back to Dish Network and I am in the middle of a shuffle to dispute charges. What to do?  Apparently Dish Network has no control over its distribution or authorized dealers and no one is willing to get a supervisor on the line who can resolve the issue.  This is a clear case of a fraudulent operation.  Anyway, I do not waht to do; please help.  by the way the distributor name is called Pronto Dish who does NOT have an e-mail system to register complaints and who gives imaginary addresses to clients to send complaints in writing.  In addition, they do not have supervisors to talk to customers...

I have been a Dish subscriber for over ten years then I got sent to work in another state for almost a year and had dish installed on a rental house, told them I still wanted my home left on and I would only need to have the dish turned on for possibly 8 months to a year they said no problem. Then when the job was done and I went back home after 9 months I called to cancel the dish service at the rental I was at and then dish told me that I would be charged a cancellation fee and have to pay for the remainder of the contract. I asked what contract I had never signed for one so they sent some fraudulent contract with my name forged on it, it wasn't even close to my signature. After numerous calls they said the contract was binding and since it was an electronic signature I couldn't dispute it. what a bunch of BS so now my only options are to pay the remainder, hire an attorney which would cost more (and they know that). So Dish you have just lost a long term customer along with my children's accounts as well and anyone else I know. Bottom line is why would I have signed a long term contract when I already had dish installed on my primary residence and all I wanted was a temp one for the rental unit.

They forged a "contract".. replies to Randy
with a phony signature, and attempted to pass it off as legitimate to use to deceptively coerce payment.

      Contact your state Attorney General.

I had someone come to come to my door to sell me either dish or direct tv. I took dish. when I found out what was going on, I had given him a post dated check for 70 dollars and did not sign anything. my neighbor signed up and he took them for 50 dollars. luckily I cancelled my postdated check. which cost me 15 dollars. turned him into sheriff. now dish is trying to get me 516 dollars!! they can eat it!!!

The Dish network is awful. Don't believe me? Try this: sign up for for one of their promotion, (these often promise you 12
months at a discount if you agree to to commit to 24 or 36 month of service). After you have fulfilled your agreed commitment, then call up and tell them that you want to close your account.  IT WON'T HAPPEN. The Dish company issues bonds based on the amount of subscribers it has and if those numbers fall OR even SLOW in growth, the interest rates of the bonds are (for Dish Network) adversely affected.  Hence that person that you talk to on the phone will do just about anything to avoid having to write a closed account notice. They will offer to "suspend" your account (some charges will still occur) or if that fails, just try & make you so frustrated that you hang up. Dish Network, putting the scum back in scumbag.

Dish Network copy-and-pasted my signature onto a contract that I never signed. They were so sloppy about it that they used the same EXACT signature multiple times in various places. If this isn't fraud then I don't know what is. I am curious to see what a civil judge thinks about it.
