They call daily, let it ring three times, when I answer they hang up, when I call THEM, I get a recording saying they are closed.

I want to know how to STOP this AND how they could possibly know I do own a Macys Visa but am NEVER late on my payments.

They are reported to be Macy's in-house collection department.

Since you have a Macy's card, contact them using the number on the back of your card to see if there is some problem with the account.  If not, then ask how you can get the calls to stop.  If that does not solve it, raise it to the level of a complaint to their executive offices.

Answer the phone if someone calls you and state, "please cease and desist from contacting me". All calls are recorded, so don't shriek, curse, or be abusive. If it is a robot, call the number back, and see what they want. Then tell them to cease and desist. Then,

If that is the case! U would get a litigation card in the mail. And if ur smart u would keep track of the calls. How many times a day n what time! The attorney general will investigate when u send a complaint call. As long as u tell Macys to "Stop" n not call ur phone by letter. Keep the letter as evidence to give to attorney general. But always keep the original. If they persist.

I have received 5 phone calls from 1-513-573-8028 within the last few weeks.  I also have been receiving calls from MCCS which is also related to Macy's.  I do not owe Macy's any money that I am aware of.  I will be contacting the number on the back of the card shortly and will cancel my card if it does not stop immediately.  From the 2 messages above this one, it's been going on for quite some time.  One was from April 30, 09, and the other was from Jul 15, 09.  So glad to be able to find out about this on line.

This number is not a scam.  It is a legitimate phone number for FDS Bank which is the bank that represents Macy's and Bloomingdale's credit accounts.  If you get a call from this number, it means that either your credit account is past due or that your phone number is on someone's credit account that is past due.  The best thing to do is to answer the phone and wait if that is what it asked and either pay your bill over the phone or explain to the rep that you're going to pay it or if it isn't your account, tell them they have the wrong phone number and they will remove it from the account. No scam invloved whatsoever.

SkellyBoi is clearly employed by these clowns and yes it is a scam if you call unverified record and try to harass them. Even in court you are innocent until proven guilty!!! And yet these f!cking clowns can harass people at will and it's up to us to prove to them that we're innocent?

    SkellyBoi you are complete idiot!!!

Very strict rules for telephoning for collections. If they do not speak with you, it is not a contact. They may only call from 8 am to 9 pm, and in some states, more restrictions. If you give your business number when you sign up for card, they can call you there. Collection techniques are pretty standard among most cards.

I got 12 calls from 1-513-754-9852 in TWO days... 4/29/2013: 8:54 AM, 11:34 AM, 1:28 PM, 3:13 PM, 5:06 PM and 6:39 PM and similarly the next day, 4:30 (first call 8:03 MA, last 8:49 PM). It is pure harassment, the account is far from overdue and the payment is scheduled. They want you to "pay over the phone" and they will charge extra $25 for such "service". Scam. If anyone was able to stop them calling please share the advice.

Do what I did, bought a Digitone call blocker from Amazon.  Cost $92 plus $7 shipping, but worth it it. These pricks call 5-6 tim es a day and I DONT HAVE A MACYS CARD, They ask for someone else I never heard of.  I may never shop at Macy's again.  FU Macy's.

I keep getting two calls constantly for 3 days from these two numbers  (513) 573-8028 and (513) 754-9841 the first time I answered I told them the bill was already paid but they keep harassing me.  If this continues I may consider cancelling my card - will call the number on the back to make sure it is Macy's employee or bank making the calls.
