My advice to all--do not deal with this company

Placed two orders about $350 in value with iKitchen.com (Kitchen and Home) on 22 and 25 Feb 2007. Four (4) months later two items, a Zojirushi Rice Cooker, and a WMF Profi Potato Masher still had not been received--finally canceled the order for the two unreceived items, the cancellation not yet acknowledged. Read the fine print and disclaimers on this company’s web site--if you do, I think you may think twice, you should, about ordering from them. They are not, do not come even close to, customer-centric as Nostroms not to mention most brick-and-mortar establishments.

Another item, a Black & Decker Under-the-counter Coffee Maker that stopped working after it was installed and used for just 3 times--could not be replaced because it was past their '14-day return limit'. Yes I did have it for past that period, stored for 2 months unpacked in carton because my condo was being renovated and not ready for occupancy. Rigid, not open to making exceptions, one is shuffled off to a person ‘in authority’ whose prime goal is not to truly weigh the merits of your request for an exception, but to wear you out--'call back in two days'; 'still don’t have an answer from management, call back next week' and so on.

My advice to all--do not deal with this company.

    Don't deal with iKitchen!  It's not worth saving the 10% or so!  Take your business to Target or somewhere you're actually going to RECEIVE the product!!

    Ordered a spice rack on 6-2-07 and it is now 6-14 I have yet to receive it.  I was not told the item was on backorder but I had to email (which they say they will respond to within 72 BUSINESS HOURS) them to find out five days later and they told me that the item was backordered and should be shipping out by the end of the week or the first of next week.  I received a tracking number last Thursday and it sat static for 7 days.  They only did this to keep me from canceling my order I am sure.  I called yesterday (6-13) and someone told me my order was shipping out that day and I should see some movement on the tracking number.  My original delivery date was 6-13 and now I will not receive the item until 6-18.

    Take my advice and DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! They have THE WORST CUSTOMOR SERVICE and THEY LIE!!!!!!!  Cancel your order now if you have already ordered something.  These complaints are real and I wish I would have read them all before I ordered something from these jokers.  DON"T ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!

    Never to use iKitchen again
    I am currently heavily pregnant and have 2 toddlers.  My old double stroller didn't pivot, so I ordered one through ikitchen.  I saved a whopping $2 over another site that would have delivered the stroller within 48 hours. It's now been a month and I've given away my old stroller in anticipation of receiving the new one within a few days.  It's been 90 degrees and humid for the last month, and I've had to carry 80 pounds of toddler around without a stroller, expecting a baby within 3 weeks.  I've already been told twice the stroller is to arrive shortly.  Nothing yet.  I'll pay the extra $2 next time.

    This is NOT a legitimate business.  THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR CARD AND STEAL YOUR MONEY.  They charged my credit card and shipped NOTHING.  Every time I speak to them I get nothing by lies, lies, and more lies.  I am now having a very hard time trying to get the money they stole from me.  IT IS A NIGHTMARE.  I am going to file criminal theft charges against them.

    I have been buying stuff online for years - this is the worst, most unethical bunch of idiots you will ever find. They charge your credit card, knowing the product is out of stock then don't tell you about it for days. When I asked to cancel it, they said it was now in stock - did I really want to cancel? I replied (20 minutes later) not if they can ship it today. To which reply I got an email saying they were closed for the next 5 days. Avoid these bozos!!!

    This place got so many complaints that they shut down their 800 line.. I see why,people are complaing about days, let me make you guys feel good. Ive been waiting for a toaster for over 3 months. better business bureau should close boiler room

    It is not merely unethical.  This business is criminal.  It does not take much investigation to realize this.

    I only wish I had done so BEFORE spending $200 that I will likely never see.

    And no, I never received the merchandise, either.

    I am going to again contact the NY AGs office - I think a simple complaint is not even a pebble as to this company.

    A criminal investigation needs to be opened.

    I am going to pursue this line of inquiry.

    Do not use iKitchen
    I ordered a coffee pot on 4/5/2008.  I have not received it nor has the shipping status changed as of 4/27/2008 from "billed".  I have tried to contact them via email and have heard nothing.

    I ordered an eight bottle wine cooler from ikitchen order number 458970.  It arrived with one corner stove in. The packing case however was not damaged! I jumped through all ikitchens many hoops and by persistence received a return merchandize authorization number. I emailed ikitchen with UPS proof of despatch but my consignment has fallen into a carefully protected black hole. I promised ikitchen I would ensure that as many ikitchen potential customers as possible see my my "sad story" against them.  I just want my money back from ikitchen for an item that has been returned to them. This is just the start of my efforts. ikitchen can stop it at any time by returning my money. I do not intend to be stiffed even by such experts as they have at ikitchen

    I have shopped on line buying stuff from numerous merchants.  This one is absolutely the worst.  When I waited for over 3 weeks, and received nothing. I started to read the reviews.  I was floored by the negative remarks.  I should have read them before doing business with this fraudulent company.  They charge your credit card, but don't deliver.  I had my credit card company dispute the charge, after which they emailed back saying they will try to cancel the order.  Do avoid this store like the plague.  The only positive review I read is probably from one of their own employees.

    I did business with ikitchen and it was a total nightmare. please people before shopping with any company google their business name first. I learned my lesson after placing and order with ikitchen. They are a fraudulent company who does not communicate and if you are lucky enough to recieve what you ordered from them the item is refurbished and will not work!!!!steer clear of ikitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    These people are criminal!  I ordered two coffee pots, was charged and then waited for several weeks.  Finally I cancelled, they emailed me that they cancelled the order.  About 10 days later items arrive.  To return they want me to jump thru hoops for a return authorization number that can take up to 14 days, then they suggest 2 billing cycles before I will see the credit minus a 15% restocking fee.  that is BS.  I emailed them the info and stated I would be sending it with my son that works for UPS to return with full tracking.  I will dispute with my credit card immediately.  (waiting as they suggest would put me out of the 3 month dispute period with my bank!)

    I placed an order on 10/06/2008 tempted by the lower prices offered for the same products in comparison to amazon.com. HUGE MISTAKE. after 17 business days I had not received my items. I sent three emails none of which got a reply. I called them, and someone picked up the phone TWICE and place it, both times, next to a radio playing cheap music. Nobody ever talked to me or returned my calls - I left two messages in their answer machine- Finally I saw MANY HORRIBLE REVIEWS about this company and absolutely NO POSITIVE REVIEW AT ALL, anywhere. This is a bogus company. Professional scam. Fortunately, I never got my order. I read stories of people who did and had horrible problems with the items delivered. They were all used, refurbished, malfunctioning, coming in broken boxes, missing parts. They had to ship them back and they NEVER got a refund. I was able to cancel my order and my credit card was not charged. As a matter of fact, the charge appeared as a “pending charge” which never made it to the balance. AVOID THIS WEBSITE at any cost. They also use other names and webpages for their scam. Check the reviews!
    By the way, their phone number (the one I called) is 718-989-9318. I lefts messages with them but they never called back and I also stayed on the line over half an hour twice, but I couldn’t talk to anyone.

    Now I am worried. I ordered a sunlight reading lamp from these folks on 9/21/08..payed using Paypal(a mistake unto itself). It is now early Nov. and my order has not arrived. I received just one Email after I placed the order stating order would ship within 72hrs.,,ha! I have left 5 messages with my order #,phone and email and nothing? There is something very wrong here people. ikitchen is probably a drop shipment operation,ie they have a 3rd party ship out item whenever they receive your backorderd item from Guoungdong China! Looks like I am out $74...thought I had found a bargain but ended up ripped off!

    Thanks everyone. You just saved me a major headache. I was about to buy a shopping cart from them whose price seemed too good to be true, but after checking their contact info and finding only a PO Box and fax, no phone, and their customer service is only available thru email, something didn't feel right. So I 'dogpiled' complaints about the company and found you. Wow! I'm amazed this company hasn't been shut down yet or at least fined by the state it operates in. I guess I'll buy the Product on Amazon after all. Good luck all.

    I am trying to get a refund through PayPal for a grill that I ordered on 11/28/08 and never received.  The website always listed it as 2-3 days to ship.    After a couple of weeks, my "new" grill on order suddenly changed to a "refurbished" grill and the new grill had a slightly different product number.   After numerous emails, I finally had the ordered cancelled, but I can't get them to issue a refund.  My only hope is that PayPal can help, but that is doubtful.  I got after PayPal for offering their services for such a dishonest company.  My advice like so many others out there, don't do business with ikitchen.com, giantsavings.com, mykitchenandhome.com.

    Did anybody think of filing complaints with the state Attorney General or the Federal Trade Commission?  I believe there may be an internet fraud online form.

    Stated item ordered was backordered only after my inquiry for a tracking number.  Money was refunded in two days by ikitchen.com, after Paypal complaint and making them aware that I knew of their multiple business names and complaints. After money was refunded, took my 20% coupon to Bed Bath and Beyond and purchased the identical Cuisinart item (only new and not refurbished) for $1.00 more as there was no shipping charge. I have never dealt with an online business that does not visibly alert the consumer of the item not being readily available prior to clicking on the submit order button. Had I known of the unavailability, I would have never submitted the order.
