My advice to all--do not deal with this company

Placed two orders about $350 in value with iKitchen.com (Kitchen and Home) on 22 and 25 Feb 2007. Four (4) months later two items, a Zojirushi Rice Cooker, and a WMF Profi Potato Masher still had not been received--finally canceled the order for the two unreceived items, the cancellation not yet acknowledged. Read the fine print and disclaimers on this company’s web site--if you do, I think you may think twice, you should, about ordering from them. They are not, do not come even close to, customer-centric as Nostroms not to mention most brick-and-mortar establishments.

Another item, a Black & Decker Under-the-counter Coffee Maker that stopped working after it was installed and used for just 3 times--could not be replaced because it was past their '14-day return limit'. Yes I did have it for past that period, stored for 2 months unpacked in carton because my condo was being renovated and not ready for occupancy. Rigid, not open to making exceptions, one is shuffled off to a person ‘in authority’ whose prime goal is not to truly weigh the merits of your request for an exception, but to wear you out--'call back in two days'; 'still don’t have an answer from management, call back next week' and so on.

My advice to all--do not deal with this company.

    Gee, wish I had read all these reviews prior to placing an order with ikitchen.  I just rec'd the form email informing that my items were out of stock.  It's been well over 15 days since I placed my order.  What should my next step be?  This is the first time I've had any sort of problem with online orders including Ebay.  Matter of fact, this place can't hold a candle to Ebay.

    No need to repeat what others have already said (ordered, paid, then forgotten). These folks sell merchandise they don't have, and keep the money unsuspecting customers pay them. ADVICE -- WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS, call this number: 212-564-0042 and ask for a refund. The woman I spoke to told me she would cancel the order and have their billing department refund the money to PayPal. SHE ACTUALLY SENT ME AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION OF THE CANCELLATION/REFUND, so if I don't see the refund on PayPal, it will serve as ammunition for opening a dispute. Wish me luck.  

    Update 3-26-09. Still no refund, so have filed a claim with PayPal. Also as advised from other reviewers, have filed a claim with BBB.

    Yahoo provides check-out services for these crooks. I contacted them and told them about my order that never came, and the money they weren't refunding. Yahoo promised to help and they did so right away...two days later I had my refund. Send your complaints here:

    Their phone number is 718-989-9318. Sometimes they answer their phone.  I ordered 2 itmes on Feb. 2, was billed, the items were never shipped, I kept being told "next week". Then I cancelled the order 3 weeks ago and still haven't recieved my refund.  I am going to go through my credit card ccompany and put in a complaint to the Attorney General of New York State.  This is the WORST online shopping experience and I would NEVER order from them again!

    PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM IKITCHEN.COM!! IT'S FRAUD!! save yourself and do not spend money on this.  I purchased an item from this site and never got the item after 2 weeks.  Then I felt something was not right, so I read reviews and learned from other customers that it's a fraudulent site.  If you already purchased from here, you'll receive an email telling you that your item is not available.  Read this email I was sent informing me that my item is backordered:

    Dear Valued Customer,

    Your item is still backordered from the manufacturer until approximately 1-2
    weeks or so.
    Your order will remain on "Hold or Rejected" status until the order is
    shipped.
    We are sorry for the delay, however as stated in your order confirmation due
    to the volatility of the items we sell, some items do fall on backorder.
    We will do everything in our power to rush the order to you as soon as the
    item(s) become available.

    I cancelled my order, called my credit card company, and told them to block charges in my accounts.  Good thing I stopped the fraudulent transaction in time.

    I'm in the same boat as everyone else.  I ordered a knife sharpener 6 weeks ago.  Two weeks into it I contacted customer service.  They said it was on backorder and I would receive it in another 2 weeks.  First off, they didn't bother letting me know it was unavailable from the start. I had to question them.  Now, at the 6 week mark I tried calling (their phone lines are down) and I sent 2 emails to the customer service person I originally communicated with.  No response.  I also thought I could save a buck.  Looks like I lost a lot more than that.  I guess it's agood idea before ordering anything to google the company.  Had I seen this sight I would not have ordered from them

    I bought a Versa Cart from them for $54 and never received it.  It has been more than 3 months! Still waiting.  Canceled order but still waiting for refund...STAY AWAY!!!!

    Yeah.  I am reading all of these comments and I agree.  They took my money, never sent anything and sent an email asking me to buy something else with a 10% discount.  I guess they figure I wanted to pay for something else in full because it is so much fun not receiving it.  I havent seen any class action suits on ikitchen but if there is please let me know.  I will be the first one on their front steps waiting to collect!

    Boy, have I been taken.  I ordered $265 worth of pots and pans on Mother's Day!  As of Sept 1 I had received nothing.  An email assured me that my credit card would be credited in full.  What a joke.  Will go through my VISA card to see if they will reimburse my account.  Will also report to the Virginia Attorney General for all the good that will do.  BTW, they had a 5 star rating on Amazon when I put in the order in May 2009.  Never occurred to me to check here since they had such a good rating.  Wonder if Amazon will take any responsibility.  There was poor English used in the email I did receive.  That should be a big clue right there.   Probably doubt that they operate in this country.
