I am registered on the "National do not call registry". The caller said nothing when I answered.  The caller hung-up.  This same number has phoned twice in one day. Very annoying. The name that remains on my caller ID is Startel, LLC.  Numerous complaints listed for this number.

    Startel, LLC has been making harrassing phone calls to my home phone for a year every single day.  I am also registered with the Do Not Call list.  Different numbers show on caller ID apparently from all over the U.S.  The caller asks for important accountant numbers and when I refuse they simply 'hang up'.  Sometimes no one speaks at all.  Sometimes they leave a message and fill my voice mail.  I have reported this to my local sheriffs dept but nothing is ever done.  Why can't the government get involved and find out who is doing this?  This same government that intrudes into innocent citizens lives, but can't investigate this.

      Anyone who has registered with the National Do Not Call Registry must report it to them. Your local Sheriff can't do anything.

      Please take this post down. Nobody ever receives any calls from StarTel in NJ from my number 732-382-6081.
      They receive calls from a different company, also called StarTel LLC, which is located in Connecticut (Call Center) # 203-274-8586.

      This person Anderson obviously found my # on the internet, because my company happens accidentally to have the same name.
      If he ever bothered to look at his caller ID #, and not a caller ID name, he would be able to see that the calls he receives come from Connecticut.

    I called their number and got  their answering machine and told them to take me off their  calling list and stated I would file police report and cotact the BBB.I want to see if this gets any results.

    Received several calls from 203-274-8586, which also shows Startel, LLC..never anyone on the other end. When trying to call the number back, it rings once and hangs up.  I am also on the national do not call list and geting tired of answeering the phone with no one there !!

      I just got the same phone call but didnt answer. Does anyone know why they might be calling? Thanks for the heads up though.

    I have complained and they keep calling,I am on the do not call list also. Time to deal with this kinda harassment. I traced the number to a local address & I am going to deal with them.

    If you are going to be bold enough to call have the same boldness to speak. When calling you back Do Not hang up after the phone rings. Cowardly and unprofessional.  Keep it up and you will be reported to any and all agencies I can muster up.  Including the police!!!!!!!!!!! Some one will find you and stop ur unwanted practices

    Oh no
    I gave them my info but not my permission to change me over before I talked to my husband.  They called my house about 10 times today but I did not answer.  My current rate through North American Power and Gas, who lowered my rate from my UI bill is 11 cents per kWh.  Startel said they can lower it to 7 cents per kWh.  I am going to keep a close eye on my bill from now on.  I wish they would register with BBB.  Startel have been contacted by them, but they don't respond.

    number. You receive calls from StarTel LLC (Call Center) in Connecticut number 203-274-8586.
    When you receive calls from StarTel LLC check Caller ID Number not Name.

    call every day around the same time # 856-335-1769 STARTEL LLC. No one ever ans. reverse says from Camdon NJ when I call Phone not set up to receive calls this is B.S. comemt made by  L.C. Right one Gov. should do something ......

    I am also on the Do Not Call list and just this morning received a call from StarTel, LLC from the # 203-274-8586 - the same # that StarTel identifies as their actual phone number.  So StarTel what is your excuse now?
    To L. Cirina, I also get frustrated when my numerous reports to The DO NOT CALL gov. agency don't seem to net results - or at least any timely results,  but I blame those who support shrinking the government for much of this. I get that some gov. spending is very wasteful, but far too many government agencies are far too under-funded to truly deal with the issues that serve the people effectively!  I suggest calling your local State Rep.s & Senators and demand that they support the agencies that do this kind of over-sight!

    They go to elderly buildings and have letters with the building logo on it. It said the building wants you to go for it. The building knows nothing about it in fact if they know they are in the building they kick them out. But a few have signed up with them. What they do is get your bill and bill you 10.00 dollars for a serice fee. The attoney generals office has been informed but does nothing.

    The more people agree to want "CHEAPER" energy, the more deadly nuclear power plants will pop up very near your area.

      Is nuclear power more deadly than coal? In my area the electric company wanted to build a nuclear power plant but the environmentalists made it politically impossible.  So it built a coal plant.  Now the environmentalists are lobbying to shut IT down.

    Got a call from these idiots - it should be ILLEGAL to do this type of calling, as well as not being able to be called back - and some of these kinds of calls have ever-changing numbers so blocking is less possible. -- In doing senior care, all gets quiet during nap time and gives me a little break - and then RIIIING - idiots like this calling - and I'm not in a position to just turn the phone off altogether.
