I have received six calls in the last month from Card Holder Services wanting to lower my APR on my credit cards. I am on the do not call list. Two calls back I talked with a representative and told them I was on the do not call list and please remove my number from their solicitation list. I also said I would take legal action if they called again. Well, they called today!

They are a scam.  They try to get your credit card information "to see if you qualify", then claim you "verbally agreed" to their program and charge one of your cards or bank accounts around $800.

Got the call, heard the "Reduce your CC interest rate" - Hit 9 to speak with someone.  Asked thier company name - Account Services (pretty generic) Asked if they could send me something in the mail - They said No, asked if they have an info about their company on the internet - She responded with I don't know, I am in a dept that ony Qualifies people for the program, when I asked who can answer the questions, she said she whould transfter, but she hung up.  - These are Below the level of Scam, they are SCUM! can not even act as if they are a real business.  I called the Number back, got some silly recording, Guss they got some guy's phone # as part of the scam.

I think all these scam artists are in it together, seems as if I go for a few weeks and get these calls (different scam groups) then the stop for a while.  When will the Govt. get these people!

I get those calls so I stayed on the line to tell to remove me from their list. When I demanded this I was told "[***] YOU!" Wonderful business practice!

The thing that's so infuriating is that our government authorities will do nothing to prosecute this fraudulent group. I have filed complaints with the FCC, the FTC, the phone company (Verizon), and my state attorney general who handles the no-call list, and none of them will do anything about it. My attorney general said he can't do anything without a phone number. Well, I can't get a phone number because the caller blocks the number! You'd think our authorities could get off their lazy butts and look into this. I'm sure there is a way to track the number and find out who they are. These people are stealing credit card numbers and harrassing people, plain and simple.

What if everyone with free long distance called this number, then hung up on them!(maybe several times) They wouldn't have time to bother all of us! Just block your number( it's star*+ 67 here )If nothing else it may make you feel better and piss them off! Just a thought. Gotta go! I've have to make a phone call. Go Bucks!!

    Attorney General Ignoring Complaints
I backtracked the number to 273-000-2989. What a shame our government is failing to do their job. I have complained about receiving these calls for the past two years now that come in each and every week. THEY DO NOTHING!

    getting these calls from 904.287.5527
I keep getting these calls from 904.287.5527. Pressing 3 to take yourself off the list doesn't work. When I press 1 to speak to a rep, they have hung up on me, said "f--- no" repeatedly when I've asked them to stop calling, told me to run around my house 5 times to cool down, etc.

The Lord knows who YOU are!
This whole thing is very much so irritating.  I received 2 of these calls today (one on my cell and one on my vonage line) I'm glad that the good Lord sees and knows EVERYTHING!  He knows exactly who these criminals are and I do believe His wrath is being prepared for those who are involved in the scam.  BEWARE SCAMMERS!!!  You are standing on dangerous ground!!  You will reap what you are sowing!!!

I get these same calls several times a week. It's always, "hi this is rachel from card services" yada yada. Like the posts above when you press 9 to be taken to a rep. as soon as you light into them for calling they just hang up. You'd think they would get tired of getting cussed out hundereds of times a day. Must be getting paid lots of money.
This is as irrating as the ones that can't even pronounce your name that I get several times a week also.
One thing I do is when they ask for my (or try) I say "hang on" then I lay the phone down. They eventually figure it out, but a few actually call back so I do the same thing. Stops them for a little while anyway.

Got two calls from them today under a real number then a phony number.  This should not be legal.  How can the phone company permit a phony number showing up on my caller ID?  I hope this isnt the start of insanity but I have a feeling I havent heard the last of it.  It's Card Member Services.  A phony front for ripoff artists.

Next time press 1, when Rachael answers tell him or her your credit card is upstairs or downstairs and "Please hold a minute I'll get it".  Put the phone down by a radio and come back in 5 minutes to hang it up.  The FTC does not seem able, or willing, to stop card holder services maybe this will, if a million or so people do this.  They can't steal your money if they are waiting for a "customer" to return all day long.

I also get these calls repeatly on a business line. Since there is no option to be removed from the list, I have opted to speak to a rep. I have been transfered several times and each time they hang up when I tell them this is a business. All I want is to be removed from the list. Is there anyone who know how I can accomplish this?

FYI the number listed 813-322-5027 IS NOT TO CARD SERVICES. IT IS A RESDIENTAL NUMBER.

TO THE GENTLEMAN AT THIS NUMBER. i DO APOLOGIZE FOR THE CALL EARLIER.

Got a call today from 512-410-0000. Asked yet again) to be removed from the list. The guy had me waiting while he did it. He called me honey, said I sounded sweet over the phone and asked me how old I was. When I told him it was none of his business, he asked if he could "f*%^ my boobs." These guys are scum.

Received a call tonight from 347-260-1495, Rachel from Card Holder Services. This is the third call I have received but I thik it has been different numbers each time. I file complaints with donotcall.gov each and every time as I have been on the list for several years. One of the people said "oh S**t" and hung up on me after I informed her I was on the list, the others have just hung up.

Received a call from Cardholder Services with a Las Vegas ID 702-997-9999. For some reason the phone companies will not put the clamps on these scammers.
