Carolyn with the "Processing Division", left me a message stating a complaint has been filed against me and that I should call back to 888-468-0021 with my personal identification information and papers ready.  She called from 919-336-0019 NC, USA.  Obviously a scam since I was directed to an 888 number.  I'm not going to bother with a response.

      Usual shakedown pattern.. replies to Similar complaints..
      1) First call from the pretend "process server" (the "Processing Division").
      2) Rude and abusive, to be threatening and intimidating.  You're supposed to do what they say, or else.
      3) "Complaint filed", to imply possible "prosecution".
      4)  Number left to call back, to reach the "closer".
      5)  You're supposed to panic, imagine what this "debt" supposedly is, and throw money at them to "settle it", to "avoid the lawsuit".

      Lucky you, you could pay it "just in time", yet you have no idea WHAT it is, and they're not going to give you any real information about it.  Bunch of fakers.  FDCPA violations all over the place.

      they called from:  917-965-5681 (NY)
      KEVIN from the processing devision wants me to callback with "proper validation" of ID

    Carolyn is a [***] who calls in english but when i called the number the person answered in english but once confronted said they didnt speak english it is a scam don't give any information

    I have gotten several of these reduculious phone calls saying that I owe money and have a claim filed aganst me, and to call back the 888 number provided with all my information available. They call from several different numbers in SC. It's a bunch of crap and I can't figure out how to make it stop

      Amy, check to see if your phone is able to block these type of phone call.  I found out that my phone is  able to block callers that I become aware the phone number is from scamer and they will not be able to reach you if you block them.

    They just called me from a "Magic Jack" phone number......i called the 1-877 number based out of California. They wanted me to verify my personal info and I refused. Total Scam...SCAM.

      How did you find out it was a "Magic Jack" phone number?  I don't know how to do this and I'd like to find out.

        I called the number back several times and at one point the recorded message said "the magic jack number you are trying to call..."

    Got a call 3 x 4th time they left message saying I've been notified of a complaint against me in Sacramento and warrant for arrest. Don't know a soul in Sacramento. Never lived, or spent the night there. It must be a scam

      Hi Jim,
      I have got that call too. I even spoke  to the police about it and the told me that it was a scam call and many of those are being done everywhere.

        I just got a call from them too in regards to an issue and I was told by 6pm tonight that I have to come up with 1000 by 6pm. They read my social and everything

    I just received a call from a Boston number basically saying the exact script everyone has stated in previous posts. Its a scam

    Received a threatening phone call February 6, 2017 using my daughter as having a problem and if not taken care of by the next day 11:00 a warrant would be issued and detention by a sheriff.  Wanted money sent Walmart to Walmart.  A well spoken English speaking women who would give me her personal info and she's an adult.  Scary yes but how do we stop this crap?  Blocked said number.  855-993-8727!  Should lad this be reported??
