Carolyn with the "Processing Division", left me a message stating a complaint has been filed against me and that I should call back to 888-468-0021 with my personal identification information and papers ready.  She called from 919-336-0019 NC, USA.  Obviously a scam since I was directed to an 888 number.  I'm not going to bother with a response.

My 83 year old mother received a call from someone saying they are with united process service and they are going to serve her with a judgment regarding a credit card debt she had over 7 years ago. They gave her a 888 number to call to try and resolve the debt. The company is called Direct Consumer Group who handles judgments for collection agencies and such.  They said they offer a settlement amount which was half of what mother owed, but I believe this is a scam, and I told my mother to hang up on them, and I called them and asked them to send us information in the mail.  The credit company and the collection agencies stopped bothering my mother years ago when we told them she had no money, no assets, and she was ill.  So, we shall find out if they are for real or not!  I am pretty sure it's a scam though.  If anyone knows anything please post.  Thanks.

Rose, the credit card company would've charged off her credit card years ago and if I'm not mistaken after 7 years the card can be removed from her credit report, check Credit Karma.  Either way this is an absolute scam!!!  Do NOT give them a dime!

This is an Indian based scam operation accessing old USA credit history data. Most of this data is pay day loan data.  If you made the desperate mistake of borrowing from a pay day loan / internet loan then you have handed all of your most important personal data to scoundrels who will use it to try to find dumbasses daft enough to fall for the " just in time " cash settlements scam.

I have received 4 phone calls since 04.03.2017 from Brianna Becker calling from 919-514-3747 .  Her message indicated she was looking for someone who left my name as a contact and they would show up with the sheriff, warrant for arrest.....usual nonsense. The call back number was 844-293-4513; when I called that number, the recorded message said "you have reached 888-277-0497.  Additional call numbers 888-229-2614; 561-210-4172;.  Today I actually saw the call come in and the instant I told her I didn't know the person she was looking for and she could shut up and listen.  Brianna Becker became very confrontational and said she didn't have to put up with that.  Well, Ms. Becker, neither do I.  I don't know who it is she's looking for but I'm going to post this on every site found.  Each time, it is a woman who speaks with no accent and sounds American.  Unbelievable that theses people make calls and oddly, reel in people who don't know better.  Shame on you Brianna Becker, if that's even your name !

Cookie, I've been reading tons of these posts on this site and other sites and the thing that usually gets them to stop seems to be telling them that you have reported the phone calls, her, their company and all of their phone numbers to your state's attorney general, the FBI, your local police department, the FCC, and (if you can find it) the Attorney General from the states that the phone numbers  are from and your attorney.  When you tell them they've been reported they stop calling.

I received a call from these people about 2 months ago, stating I had to respond to an 888 number the very first person I spoke to had no information nor would give me any information about what it pertaind too. Finally called the number I was given and the man threatened me over a $500 bill that I do not nor do I believe have ever had from 2007. They did have my personal information,  I noticed in my spam mail is somebody has been constantly almost on a weekly basis two to three times a week checking my background records it has only be gone since the day I received the initial call. I almost gave the person my credit card number but did not

    Scammers beware!
Ahsley Greene called me about a "Civil Complaint" United Processing Services is going to issue. Phone number to call: 844-787-5856. I'm convinced it's a scam though Ashley sounded very sincere saying she was "just trying to help me"

    Know Your Rights!
You can Google the statute of limitations on any unpaid debt for your state.  I did that and wrote it all down.  When these companies call with debt that is outside the statute of limitations (if the message they leave gives that much info), I go to our AG's website and report them.  These debts don't show on my credit report and I check my name through Case Net once every few months.  In order for them to arrest you, there would have to be a judgement against you where the judge would have issued a warrant.  If you don't see that online anywhere, you can call your local police or state police office and ask them.  Typically, when a judgement for financial restitution is filed against you, they garnish your wages.  If you had a court date, you would have been served and if you missed it, the judgement would be filed against you.  They don't arrest people for bad debt or civil complaints, they can only garnish your wages.  It's sad more people don't know or understand these things ahead of time.  After a bad marriage to a loser, I had to learn the hard way about my financial rights...

Received a call today from a Minnesota #. Claiming I took out a loan in 2012 and never repaid it. Their phone went static when they were explaining things so I hear nothing. Once they finished I said I heard nothing, she got an attitude and said I hear you just fine and said have fun dealing with your legal team and getting arrested. Called me numerous times in a day.
