Please look into the background of anyone to make sure they're legit. There's ripoff warnings, a bbb complaint and court house legal drama in connection to Jim Shead coaching services being a scam. One court house saga in connection to Jim Shead coaching services can be viewed here: http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/USCOURTS-mnd-0_0 ... -cv-01686-0.pdf

Please look into the background of Jim Shead or anyone else before handing your money over for "coaching" services to assure they aren't a professional scam artist. Words are great, but actions speak louder. I would personally feel more comfortable handing my money over to be a party to do an actual real estate deal.

Jim Shead travels around the world doing his scam coaching services. So far, there's only one "Jim Shead" real estate coach that has an online presence. Every time I google "Jim Shead" real estate, all the links that come up are regarding this one individual.

I don't need shady behavior around me
I just don't think it wise to get involved with shady guys, no matter how many excuses they have lined up to defend themselves. If there's constant shady activities and behavior around one individual, I just don't care to get mixed up with them:

Having work with Jim and hundreds of his students not only can I tell you that is not true - I can prove it.  Can you back up anything you say, or at least get the company names correct?

This is a lie. And a FAKe profile created by Rob Provenzano. Someone who left his wife in Canada to move-in with Jim Shead on a mobile home on his property. Not joking.

So one complaint, by someone who has never even attended one of Jim's courses, after 20+ years of being in business makes Jim a shady guy?  And if you read the whole court case the guy who sued Jim didn't even pay Jim for the training.  He paid a totally different company, showed up at the wrong location and Jim felt bad for him so Jim let him into the training.  By the time the case was over the other person ended up going to jail for contempt.

If that makes Jim a guy to avoid ...

Also, on your bigger pockets post - nothing in that Link about Jim or his companies.  Not sure how that supports your argument, or just makes you look like you have no credibility.

BiffMalibu is probably Jim Shead or one of Jim Sheads co-horts.

    From the bigger pockets post:

"Hello, quick question to all the EXPERTS out there...I was approached, on my own residential property, by a Realtor, who was showing a client a short sale across the street. When the Realtor got to speaking to my husband, he realized that we were also in a Foreclosure situation, and that we're going through a loan mod. Well, next thing I know, this guy sends us an offer, for about $25k less than the neighbors short sale price ($425k), with $25k BACK ....TO US????!!!! Is such an offer even ethical? Can it be done? We were going to hold the property as a rental, but wouldn't mind getting a lump sum in cash in return (to invest elsewhere) if we could.

Thanks for anyone's expert opinion in this.

BTW, I just spoke to an investor this weekend, someone from American Investors Network (Jim Shead's group) who said it could possibly be done, if done right."

    Response

"The short answer is YES, it is truly unethical and probably illegal. It is also a hook to get you on the line. After sometime, he will tell you things like: Sorry but the number did not line up, or the lender would not allow you to receive proceeds. ...."

Biff does work with Jim. never denied that.  And to clarify, American Investors Network shut down more than 7 years ago.  Don't you have anything  new on Jim?  Nothing?  After 20 years in business you can only find 2 reports - one that had nothing to do with Jim himself, and one a court case that Jim actually won but people keep citing?

      And as I stated above:

So to get this straight, someone hired to process orders at one of Jim's events was asked a question they didn't know the answer to.  Granted they should have said go see Jim, but I can accept that as a bad decision.  Hmm, ever call a help desk with a complex problem?  Ever get a wrong answer from someone who didn't know?  Did you post that here?

And also to be clear, Jim didn't provide this fraudulent advice, a clerical person did.  And when Jim found out about the issue he called the person and clarified the information before they took action.  And the clarical person was reprimanded.

If you actually had heard about a Jim Shead event, you would know you don't have to pay for any of our introductory seminars, ever,  and you don't get invited to a paid event until you have been through the introductory course.  So your decision to avoid paying for one of Jim's vents is complete BS because you wouldn't of had to pay for a free event, and you wouldn't have been invited to a paid event.

That being said, if you'd like to come to an event and experience the reality for yourself, feel free to reach out.  Unlike others here who claim to be helping people yet have more complaints than most speakers combined, if you actually attend a free event and don't like what we offer feel free to complain all you want.  At least attend an event before you decide to criticize something you know nothing about.

Sign of a scam artist replies to Biff Malibu
        Biff Malibu "AKA" Jim Shead,

This is just more signs that you're a scam and you, some how, are always surrounded by other shady people & other scam artists as well. Furthermore, closing companies, opening new ones, entangled with thieves who steal money from companies, you ignore phone calls from people asking for refunds. Goodness, you're just full of excuses for your bad behavior and you are "somehow" always surrounded by other scam artists, shady folks & thieves. If it sounds like a duck, looks like a duck, etc.

You do realize AIN went out of business over 7 years ago when the CFO stole over 10 million form the company?  Yes, it was a bad situation - that happened over 7 years ago.  Do you have anything recent?  Or anything about Jim and the charitable work he's doing now?

Just to let everyone know this is the REAL Jim Shead posting here. I don't normally waste my time replying to message boards like this because mostly they are post from people who are upset at themselves and don't use their real names. I find it funny to read these post because people are able today to post anything they want and have zero facts and the people reading them don't take the time to gather the facts so let me let everyone in on a few of the facts.

    1) As to the bigger pockets post the person said they talked with someone from my group about a question and they said it could possibly be done. Others replied yes the advice was correct. There was no fraud.

    2) Second to Jason's comment about let's be real clear. Marsha had nothing to do with the list and she is a great person. Jason the list you speak about was 2 years old not an updated list. I have the original email from Woody and I have the facts. Also Jason please understand if you had the facts you would know that Woody wanted me to market to people under my name because no one liked him and he could not get people into his REIA in fact Jason you state that I used the REIA when the facts are Woody wanted to use me again I have hard copies of emails that will prove all my statements. Next Jason you say I said you have to sell your mother. I record everything I say on stage and I promise you that was never said. I did say in a leadership meeting that people that do business like was being done in the REIA you had to be wiling to sell your mother which the seminar people do, not advice I give.

    3) Next Jason you said I used the REIA and I copied their name. I find this comment funny as I have owned the Name American Investor Association longer than the REIA has been active. The truth fact is that the REIA copied me. Last month your REIA ran a marketing ad about your general meeting saying they were doing a property Liquidation Event. Did you know Jason I have been doing that for years and gave Woody the idea and if I was so bad why did he use MY marketing?

    4) You say I am a Scam Artist. I challenge you to show me one person I scammed in Charleston or anywhere and bring proof not a post someone with out balls who did not use their real name post beware of Jim. If anything I have only provided the best events. Gave of my personal time and did not try and have a sell a thon like the REIA offers. I feed people at my events and give great education myself and I don't bring in other National speakers who are only upselling you coaching programs that the REIA takes 50% of your fees. Jason (If that is your name) Tell me have I scammed you? Can you please enlighten me on the facts of who I scammed. I find is funny that you and a special someone say beware of Jim scamming people but yet have not provided one single fact of who or how I scammed someone. I am a business person who offers a product and a service. Last time I checked that was the American Dream.

Again someone who did not provide their real name made a comment on this post about surrounding yourself around shady people. I am amazed again that a grown Adult would post anything and is to scared to use their real name and make comments that have no merit. Again I am the real Jim Shead and I NEVER hide behind a fake screen name or make comments I can't back up. I have been in business for over 20 years, I have done many real estate deals and have training thousands of people over the years. I offer FREE webinars where there is no selling. I do rehabs and sell to people who can't normally buy homes. Yes I am a business man and I am in business to make a profit, if you have done as much business as me you are going to have people who don't like you. Am I perfect? HELL NO but who is.

All we can do in life is try our best. Jason and the other who posted I am so bad if you don't like me then don't attend any events I do I will still sleep well at night. I am always amazed at the effort some people put into bashing others on the internet. Image if you just put that much effort into your business and productive things. I find people who attack others with no merit are scared little people with personal issues. Anyone who knows me on a personal level knows I care but also know I never back down from a fight or personal attacks. I was told when I was young growing up on the streets if you where going to run your mouth you better be able to back it up. Stand up and be a man and face the person you accuse not hide behind a computer screen. Anyone can create a fake screen name and post crap. It takes a real man or women to be honest and face someone.

Sorry for this long email but I felt the need to defend myself not give excesses. If I do wrong I will be the first to own it but what I won't do is be accused of something that is not true by someone who is scared of me and does not know how to run a real business. I run a good business and strive to make all my customers and clients happy. I know of no company that can say 100% of the people who they do business with are happy. If you are not happy with my company or me you have a choice to not be a part of it. I invite anyone to come to one of my events in Charleston and YES as Jason said I am not part of the Charleston Real Estate Association. They have some great people like Marsha who I greatly respect and only wish the best for.

Thank you for your time and if anyone who like to discuss this further or would like to see you I really am please come to of or our meetings and see for yourself if you like me or what I do or not or please feel free to email me personally.

    Thank you
    Jim Shead

Yes, there's absolute evidence of your scam, Jim Shead

Just because 1 year, 2 years or 3 years pass by doesn't mean what you did goes away.

There was an American Greed episode about Jordan Belfort's criminal activity and there was someone who used to work at that company who spoke and, because that person is a respected businessman today, he decided to conceal his name and his face. Same here. I am a respected businessman in the Real Estate industry so I have no desire to have my name intertwined with internet information pertaining to your fraudulent ways. And yes, I unknowingly "attempted" to follow your advice on something and later discovered it was fraudulent and ended up NOT going through with signing certain paperwork after that discovery. After that, I decided I will stay far far away from you. There are people who exist with good names and they don't want to ruin their good names by affiliating it with you or putting their names in connection to scam warnings against you. That's called being a smart business man.

Someone else was scammed by you in GA. Please read the following:

Don't get ripped off by them! Paid $500 for 4 day training seminar - never heard from them again!

Have called over 20 times and over 6 month period. No one willing to help. Every excuse in the book as to why no one calls us back - "on the road;maternity leave;will forward your message;gave them your message;no supervisor here for a couple of weeks;you'll have to call back; I'm a new employee", etc. Owner, Jim Shead and right hand man, Ron Broussard aware, but do not care - they already got the money!

Robert, you know this is not true!!  Ask Santa, Claus For Cause was paid more than was collected and the total cost of the event was paid by Jim.  This was not a JV.  Paying for some of the event makes it a JV.  Lets make sure everyone knows that during this time I worked Robert as a leader and helped Santa with the AV for this event.  At this time I was volunteering to help to bring Christmas to children in the Lowcountry.

Wake up Kevin. The 99.00 dollar charge for each member went to Santa's charity for children. The main money that would be paid for coaching was JV deal that you had no idea about. That was about our organization Supporting the event with a list. The list is worth money. Just because I hired you as an organizer within our organization does not mean you were previed to all information. What you say about the initial event is true. We sat it up that way. What happened afterward is what makes Jim a thief. He created false posts on a. Scam site to et is to back him the weekend before he screwed us over. You are a newby. I don't expect you to understand what happened. You are too new to understand it. Read on.

You lied again.  You have a google alerts account set up so that you can automatically know when people retaliate against your scams. Therefore, you pay good attention to theses posts and you write books worth of reasons as to why you are not a scammer and yet a victim. I'm done with you. You aren't worth my time telling everyone why you are such a worthless sack.
