I am getting several calls a day from various numbers all with the same recording.  The FBI reports there is a break in every 15 minutes...It goes in to say that our household has been selected to receive a free security alarm system or an upgrade to our current system free of charge.  Press 1 if you are interested in protecting your home and family, Press 2 if you aren't interested.  I started with just hanging up.  They kept calling.  I have pressed 2 several times and it goes to complete silence and they keep calling.  With the last call (3rd call from a 3rd number in 4 hours, all with the same recording), I pressed 1 hoping to get to a person and it also just went completely silent.  How do I get them to stop calling?  We are talking 3+ times a day.  This is rediculous.  They do not give a name of the company.  Just a Press 1 if you are interested....

If you are on the Do Not Call list, file FTC complaints.
If not, put your numbers on it, then start filing complaints after 30 days.

Although the robodialers violating Do Not Call often hide or keep changing their numbers, you might look into suing their clients for the violations of TCPA, just like you can do with FAX spammers.

The clients, like this alarm company, are probably local, or have locally licensed agents.  You might also file complaints with the state licensing agencies of the local companies.  Locally licensed franchisees may not want trouble affecting their licenses, nor would they like large numbers of complaints, even if the robodialers don't give a damn.

You might want to run this by a consumer attorney.  You can find one in your state through www.naca.net

In reply to what you wrote. Attorney General's Office takes these complaints about the "Do Not Call List". They have stated to me with the many phone calls regarding the same calls the writer above wrote about, is that they can do nothing about them. The scam artists are using any number they need to make these calls. They called me using my neighbors phone number, that's why I answered the phone thinking it ws my neighbor. So there really is not anything you can do but take it. I respond to all the answers correctly then I turn and say my husband isn't home yet can I call you back. I feel I wasted their time like they wasted mine. I have appointments made and call the attorney general to let them know some one was coming to my house. Lets see how this person will like being arrested next week. Will let you know how it went.

The company name is security technologies although there is a legitiment company with that name they do not make cold calls. This company that keeps calling you is out of the netherlands they are fishing for credit numbers and SSN's. I want to know what the next step is my local police cannot do nothing.

I just got one of these robodialer calls. I keep pressing the number the recording says to press to be put on their "do not call" list, but the calls keep coming anyway. I've already gotten over six or seven of these -- and reported it at the National Do Not Call Registry website (donotcall.gov) as many times -- since our number is on the Registry, but the calls keep coming.

Both ADT and the federal government know what's going on.

Apparently 'our' federal government has telegraphed to these people that they can do this, while 'our' government looks the other way, since this has been going on for at least a year now. Wink wink.

In the next election, vote against every incumbent member of Congress and the president.

This has been going on before this admin took office and will continue when they leave. That's the silliest reason I've heard suggested to vote people out of office.

There is no need to resort to immature name calling.  I think they made a fair point about the reasoning being silly.  The previous proposition to "vote everybody out of office" is a bit ridiculous.
