I am getting several calls a day from various numbers all with the same recording.  The FBI reports there is a break in every 15 minutes...It goes in to say that our household has been selected to receive a free security alarm system or an upgrade to our current system free of charge.  Press 1 if you are interested in protecting your home and family, Press 2 if you aren't interested.  I started with just hanging up.  They kept calling.  I have pressed 2 several times and it goes to complete silence and they keep calling.  With the last call (3rd call from a 3rd number in 4 hours, all with the same recording), I pressed 1 hoping to get to a person and it also just went completely silent.  How do I get them to stop calling?  We are talking 3+ times a day.  This is rediculous.  They do not give a name of the company.  Just a Press 1 if you are interested....

I own one of the companies that gets these transfers to us. We encourage customers to reach out to us if they are getting these calls continuously. We pay high dollar to our lead providers to make sure that they are scrubbing these calls against the DNC and we have iron clad contracts to protect our company and state licenses. Making any level of stink is never a bad thing. But after certain laws, make sure that you TRULY have put your number on the DNC before going after a company. I have won 3 countersuits from customers defiling my alarm company name through misinformation.

[***]!!  These companies completely ignore the DNC and if you get sales from them without explicitly insisting that they follow te rules, then you're guilty as well and you deserve 100,000 in fines a day!! You won't get customers by pissing them off. At some point someone will publish a list of companies that vioalate these rules and your company will suffer.

I DID do this verification process through the DNC (and saved the e-mails to prove it) and they STILL keep calling me. I have a daughter with cancer and get AT LEAST one of these calls a day. It is in NO WAY shape or form EVER going to get my business! I know have close to hatred for the whole home security industry after being HARRASSED for over 2 months of pressing 1 to be removed, pressing 2 to be hung up on by rude jerks, etc.! Hope "the industry" feels good about themselves for hiring a$$holes to get business. Yep- a little pissed right now that my daughter gets woke up because I can't turn the phone off since I have other kids who may need me.

To all the pissed off people as myself who are getting these calls, you can call Morgan and Morgan Law Firm in Florida. They handle these harassment from companies like this all over the US. Their number is 1-855-315-8498. You can call 24 hrs; they have a live person that can help you.

Seriously! Get a real job, if you had any dignity of self respect, you would realize that your "company" annoys the [***] out of 99% of the people you call and you are scamming the few peolpe who fall for your [***]. You are a parasite, not a business person!

If your company is on the up-and-up, why don't you identify it?  Have you fired any lead generators for providing leads that weren't scrubbed properly?   And while you're at it, how about identifying the three counter suits you won.  Unless you're just making it all up.

    Alarm Company X A$$H0le,

Your company is NOT on the up and up.  I press the number 9 to ask to not be called again, but you do not comply and my phone keeps ringing.  I call back a number, thost numbers are "disconnected" a message says from the phone company; how can that be if you are on the up and up.  I finally reached someone, (I actually received a call from a number that worked) and your staff hang up.  I had to imitate an "interested customer", I talked to a NICK.  After I acknoledged I was the homeowner and was silent, he inquired if I was really wanting off the list, I simply indicated YES, Please.  Then, Nick was mad because I wasn't honest.  Who keeps hanging up the phone and not complying with a simple request.  After Nick "Promised" to take my phone off the list, the calls started up again in a week.  I don't have the time to sue, I don't want to sue.  I simply want to reply "no" and go on about my day.   You don't encourge customers to reach out to you unless we pay you $$ for nothing... hence... SCAM!  You Scum!  I hope you loose your shorts!

I continuously get these "f"ing calls daily.  I've told them I can't tell you how many times, I RENT.  I've even tried to tell them I'd put a sign in my yard just to get them off my A**.   If you ask to be put on the "do not call list" THOUSANDS of times ...they just keep calling using a different number.  If I find out who they are....I'm gonna sue them for harassment.

YOU SAY YOUR ON THE UP AND UP...???  GET REAL

I received the same blind call today and pressed 9 : "If you want to be on a do-not-call list press 9".  Hope it works.

I think no one who is solicited should give any information about the existence or none-existence of their home security system, nor about its state if there is one,  because this may well be a scheme by which someone could figure out who has a security system and if it's working. Cons would love to know what to expect when they prepare to break in.

    Ditto
I also get called repeatedly and when I press 1 to speak to an operator to get more information about who is making these calls, they hang up. Pretty aggressive and sophisticated. I am at a loss about what to do.

Go to the website Protect America and in the upper right is a toll free number in big red letters. Look at that number and then hit your refresh button and you will suddenly see a different toll free number. As many times as you click refresh you will get a different number. Same result if you go on and off their website - it's never the same number twice. Do Not Call insists on a number to follow up a complaint. Therein lies the problem.
When those robocalls The FBI reports there is a break in.. blah blah... the number is unknown.
So is it Protect America? Don't know but they sell GE security equipment, which is now a division of United Techonologies. UT bought the GE security division several years ago and now United Technology has a large security division based in Farminton, Connecticut and headed up by Gerarud Darnis.
By the way, United Technologies was just this summer fined $65 million dollars by the US Justice Dept.for selling military secrets to the Chinese. Wonder how much UT cares about the Do Not Call list?
United Technologies owns Sikorsky who makes the Black Hawk Helicopter...and UT owns GE Secuirty which is the equipment that Protect America is pushing.
Is it them? - not sure but I recently shared all this informantion with the FCC as I am sooo tired of these calls as well.

I usually get these calls quite often, which is why I normally only pick up the phone if I hear that the phone rings again after a missed call.  But this morning, while I was still in bed, I found it repeatedly ringing well past the point where missed phone calls cut off (4 rings + another 11 rather than the usual 4).  I got out of bed and found out it was this call again.  And then several hours later, I hear the phone and just feel like picking it up.  I'm just tired of it today.  I've already gotten this call four times today.  I just wanted to add my part to the story.  At least it got me to stop sleeping in and get out of bed.

I told the lady I was interested in a alarm and she went through some questions and then I told her I was just wasting her time that I have asked them to quit calling and wasting mine.  Her repy was well I guess I will leave your number on the list and we will just have fun.  I encourage everyone that is already pressed to be off the list to start answering and talking to a person and waste as much of their time as possible.  I am also considering giving false info out and see if I can get somebody who pays these people to harrass me to come out to put in a alarm at a house I do not own.  When they call me I will tell them to quit useing this company to get leads.  Harrass the telemarketing company and their customers and I bet they will start playing by the rules.  Game on!

I've been getting calls after calls, especially considering I have two lines. Have repeated "Take Me off the List" with no luck.. Today they called again. Heck, I think I'll buy an alarm today. Was told that a manager would call me back.. Sure enough, 15 minutes later, he called. Wow what an offer.. $49.99 per month for 3 years. Asked for the website info and he refused. Told them that I had another company coming out and he explained that they would match their price. Still would not give me a website to compare. He ended up hanging up on me when I said "You have to be kidding.. No website"
