Have received calls on both my home and cell phone, both of which are listed on the do not call register.  Pushed one to speak with someone and learned name of company is "Carpet Care Specialist".  No such company listed.  I asked person why they are calling when I'm on DNC list and they hung up.
Filed complaints for both of my phones on the DNC web site: https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

I've looked up this number and found out that I'm not alone!

I got a simular call from from an un-named carpet cleaning serice.  I left my name and number when prompted in the hopes of speaking to a live person and getting more info on these lowlifes.

A woman calling herself Caroline called later that same day with a caller ID of 818-465-6973.  She said the name of her company was California Home Care and wanted to make an appointment for the very next day.  I told her we would be out of town and that I need to call them back.  "Caroline" then gave me their toll free number: 877-270-2921.

Clearly these scum are using many different company names and phone numbers in an effort to keep people confused...

I'm on the DNC list; isn't everyone? Just hung up on a robo call about carpets but before any offer. Then since caller ID had a number I tried it. (I've been doing this recently - mostly get busy signal, disconnected # tones, etc.)

1-347-298-1357 "You have reached Carpet Care. All of our representatives are busy. Leave your name and number for a return call."

They just called me from 405.217.2378. I pressed 1 to talk to someone and when I pressed for information she hung up. I wish I had thought of sending them to the house across the street also. I called the number back and it is disconnected.

This number 405.217.2378 calls my line 3-4 times per week! I have an unlisted number and no call directory.... any clue to what or why this is? Thanks!

They keep calling me too and have been for the past 2-3 years. I keep pressing 1 and they hang up on me immediately.  They just called again today and I pressed 1...acted like I was interested.  Lara was her name...I asked if it was Diane's Carpet Care...and she said no it was Carpet Care...then I asked the price as if I was interested NOT...and she said $49.95 for 2 rooms with hall free.  Then I said i wanted my number removed from their caller list and she hung up before I could finish my sentence.  The nerve of these people.  It's so frustrating they call every week...Someone needs to STOP them STAT!  I would NEVER have them clean my carpet..I just feel bad for the lonely or trustworthy and let them perform service.  If they aren't responsible enough to respect the request to remove you from their list, why would we want them to perform service....Idiots!

I wonder if they are just calling to verify that our numbers are valid numbers so they can sell them to companies.

I also receive these calls in the early morning hours from Spoofed numbers in the SF Bay.  They too hang up when you question them about their company.  I called the FTC who advised they are taking all complaints with the name "Carpet Care" in the complaint line, seriously.  Please file a complaint and I will continue to research this company and see what I can find out.  Lets all take a stand!

Barbara Chun is NOT the contact for FTC Western Region.   The calls continue - same company, same racket.  There is a website for DNC Violation complaints:  https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

I've been receiving these for a while now always coming from 701-671-9123. Pressed 1 a few times to talk to the lady. Last time (earlier today - 1-18-13) asked where they're located and she said Olympia (she'll just say whatever city it is that you're calling from).  Asked what the company name was and she said Carpet Care.  Asked for a call back number and she hung up. I've called the number back and tried to be removed from their calling list but it doesn't work. Have reported to the FTC a couple of times. Gotta assume there's just a bunch of people all over with carpet cleaning gear that subscribe to this robocall and then when you push one, they'll route you to a local company.

I just got the call again - I'm in the Los Angeles area - and instead of complaining I set up an appointment for them to come to my next door neighbors business so when they show up their my buddy will call me and I can go over there and ream them out.  And every time they call i will do it again and again with a different shop in our building.

Excellent approach! Fines don't seem to do much, but driving their costs up may destroy their business model. My record for keeping one of these poor rubes on line was over half an hour. Nothing personal on them, it's their bosses who need to hurt. Keep calling them out!

If they call me again I will make an appointment. If they appear at my home I will get the license number off of their vehicle, get a make of their vehicle and note any markings on their vehicle, I will then call the police and give the dispatcher their license plate number, etc. and hopefully the police will arrive in time to question those guys.

What I recomend to every one is diall the one as stated, make an appointment.
(You don't have to give your actual address.) If you do, when the tech arrives tell him
you never made that call. You don't want the service.
Aks the tech who was the dispatcher and from where that you want to make a complaint.
If we all were to do this all the time maybe then they will get the message.
Can you imagin the results out of this?
Talk about getting people pissed. Nice turn around.
