Unauthorized charges

Complaint

I have had multiple unauthorized charges on my credit card in the last weeks totaling over $800.00. The bank is claiming that the card has not been compromised and is insisting the charges need to be disputed. It appears that accounts have been set up with this credit card for the following companies:

Wallet8004717182 - RENO
CONSTANTSTARS
2CO.COM 2CHECKOUT.COM
2CO.COM PPTEMPLATE
YAHOO WALLET
PAYPAL
GMONEYBIZ.COM
8003388712 SUB00 OF 00
WWC*SEARCHCACTUS
ULTIMATEHEALTH
CLICKMONEY

While I am fully aware that many of these are legit businesses (such as paypal and yahoo wallet), accounts with them have never been set up with this card. The bank said that sometimes online software companies will have hidden agreements. Just prior to the appearance of these illegitimate charges I made two software purchases online: DiskWarrior and FastTrack from ALSOFT and AEC Software.

Could these companies have given my account information out? Needless to say it has resulted in hours of time on the phone, much frustration, and even when I am able to have the money refunded I loose on the exchange rate (I am in Canada and these charges are being made from the States).

    Retiree
I just had a charge on my debit card for $29.00 for 2CO.com. I have never heard of this company. I do not appreciate having charges on my account when I never even heard of this company. I am a retiree and I am struggling financially. This really irritates me. Why won't people get jobs and work instead of using the internet to scam and steal from people.

I have had charges in the amount of $14.95 and for odd amounts like $.29 from 2CO.COM  I called my bank and all they told me was to come in and fill out dispute papers.  She also said to call the number and ask what the charges are for. She would not block the card from being charged. She said I may have to get the police involved.  This has been going on for months.

Actually, after discovering amounts charged through 2CO on my statement, then coming across this website, panic ensued. However. The 2CO that charged me on my bank statements turned out to be a payment company used through my web administrator, and domain name supplier...this is NOT to be confused or compared in any way to WWW.2CO.com: which has a site and I am told IS NOT related to the 2CO which my web hosting charges go through. My bank helped me establish this. Hope they can do the same for you guys! It freaks me out though, so I'll keep a close eye in the future.

SWITCH BANKS!!! Mine was able to get to the bottom of it right away, and placed an immediate freeze on my cards until it was sorted out. That is how it should be done. Good luck, I really hope you get this sorted out, as I know how I felt when I first suspected it.

    Hi there,
on the 27th June I signed up with Freelance Superstar for a writing course and it had a 30 day refund policy. After a few days I decided not to continue and applied for a refund. I had a few emails asking for more information but to date have had no refund. Can you explain what's happening please?

A charge from www.CO.com877294 of $14.00 does not appear to be legitimate. How do I investigate who made this charge and for what?

Our card number was stolen 2 days ago and already they have drained our account dry.  It could have been worse.  The credit union put a hold on our account before we even knew there was a problem.  Most of the fraudulent charges were out of England and we live in FL.  Never been out of the country and VERY rarely use this card.

I just had a charge of $351.30 from 2CO.com made to my credit card yesterday.  Thank god I put alerts on the new card because I have already had troubles with Capital One's credit card. Funny but it's the only one ever to have fraudulent activity.  Is it the fact that the credit card companys out source to other countries as part of the problem. How do they regulate those people?  Also maybe someone should check into this 2CO.com seems like a lot of fraudulent activity is happening through them?

i have been stung by your company now for a period of 12 months and numerous emails have done nothing to fix this. so today i tried again. all of my emails have been undeliverable. is this what you do to make money. big mistake. i have just started legal proceedings on this and hope it costs you an absolute fortune.i don't like identity theft and fraud i have worked hard to get where i am, and nobody is going to take that away from me.
and as for statements i have never recieved one so god knows where you are sending these
