Unauthorized charges

Complaint

Country: Canada
I have had multiple unauthorized charges on my credit card in the last weeks totaling over $800.00. The bank is claiming that the card has not been compromised and is insisting the charges need to be disputed. It appears that accounts have been set up with this credit card for the following companies:

Wallet8004717182 - RENO
CONSTANTSTARS
2CO.COM 2CHECKOUT.COM
2CO.COM PPTEMPLATE
YAHOO WALLET
PAYPAL
GMONEYBIZ.COM
8003388712 SUB00 OF 00
WWC*SEARCHCACTUS
ULTIMATEHEALTH
CLICKMONEY

While I am fully aware that many of these are legit businesses (such as paypal and yahoo wallet), accounts with them have never been set up with this card. The bank said that sometimes online software companies will have hidden agreements. Just prior to the appearance of these illegitimate charges I made two software purchases online: DiskWarrior and FastTrack from ALSOFT and AEC Software.

Could these companies have given my account information out? Needless to say it has resulted in hours of time on the phone, much frustration, and even when I am able to have the money refunded I loose on the exchange rate (I am in Canada and these charges are being made from the States).

I am a online merchant investigating whether I want to use 2Co.com to process my online sales, IE Service my shopping cart & check out process.

I think a lot of you are misunderstanding who 2CHECKOUT.COM is, and what they do. They are one of a few very large companies that process credit/debit card transactions for online businesses (worldwide!). So if you see a charge that was made thru them, it doesn't mean it is them that is scamming or stealing from you per say!

If you want to get to the bottom of who is REALLY stealing from you, you NEED to understand this.

Let me explain, if someone stole your credit card and used it to illegally purchase something from Amazon. com, it doesn't mean that Amazon stole your money, but the person that stole your credit information is, because they are using YOUR Credit/Debit card and purchasing something thru amazon!! If Amazon comes up in the transaction information, IT DOES NOT MEAN that Amazon is scamming or stealing from you either! Amazon .com just happens to be where the the thief is using it, or processing it thru!

2Co.COM represents hundreds if not thousands of companies. So the fact that they come up on credit card, or debit card transactions is not surprising. And DOES NOT mean that they are the ones stealing from you. And until this is understood, THE REAL THIEF is getting away with it as long as you blame the wrong person or company!!

Okay, then can you explain to me why the 2co.com site does not show detailed information of where my product is when I track it?

The problem is that even if there are repeat offenders and online criminals on the website 2CO does business with, 2CO are repeatedly made aware of these crimes and yet continue to allow these criminals to operate through them. If you are aware of your company accepting money on behalf of criminals and scam artists, while you take at least 5% commision on whatever is stolen, then you surely deserve to rot in prison.

    Unhappy Fitbody.com/TRX Customer
Hello 2checkout.com is apparently a credit card processing company hired by various merchants, in my case fit body.com /trxsuspensionsystem.com / Fit Body Wholesale.....address: 10685-B Hazelhurse Drive #13485, Houston, TX 77043, phone #956-887-0845.  I purchased the TRX suspension system on their website and was later told by TRX that their products & website were illegitimate.  I called the company 4 times with no response whatsoever.  I also emailed them several times and received vague responses stating the order would be shipped soon.  After the third email, voicing my concerns about illegitimate products, I received an email stating the order was cancelled (by them).  When I called 2co.com, they told me I had to take it up with the vendor.  I then left a final message with Fit Body stating that I would be reporting them if I did not receive a response within two hours about a refund.  I am still waiting for a response.  I have cancelled my credit card and am filing a dispute with my bank. Still waiting for my refund........

I did copy and paste order confirmation but when I try and go to http://www.FitBodyWholesale.com does not exist. They charged my checking acct today for total. to late to call bank tonight. This purchase started through Amazon which led me to vendor. This site looked very legit.Explaining systems verbatim to TRX site. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS COMPANY  BUT WAS CHARGED $79.95 ON MY AMEX CARD SO I CALLED THEM AND THEY SEARCHED FOR THIS CHARGE BUT DIDN'T FIND ANY CHARGE FOR THIS AMOUNT. I THEN ASKED THEM TO CREDIT MY CARD BUT THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T CREDIT SOMETHING THAT THEY COULDN'T SEE A CHARGE FOR. I THEN CALLED AMEX AND THEY PROMPTLY REMOVED THE CHARGE. BE CAREFUL OF THIS COMPANY AS THEY ARE A FRAUD

This company is a fake.  I ordered a TRX trainer from them.  They don't ship your product and don't issue tracking numbers.  They have not responded in 3 emails and several calls regarding my missing order.

There is no communication.  Now I must dispute the charges through my bank.

Sad thing is, this whole experience started through a link on Amazon.com

    unhappy about 2CO
I bought from a scam fengshui store on the internet, http://www.lucky-fengshui.com/
    Unfortunately, I bought through 2CO.com.
An ethical payment provider would've cancelled lucky-fengshui's account with them, since they outrightly steal money from the people who attempt to buy from their webstore. But 2CO continues doing business with them, and it appears, would never give you a refund.
    AVOID 2CO.com AT ALL COSTS.
Seeing all the 2CO.com complaints on this website is shocking. They really do steal from people.

DO NOT make the mistake of signing up with 2checkout, unless you want to suffer like me!

I consider myself a typical internet marketer selling my own digital creations such as ebooks, templates, etc. I have been in business with this company as a vendor for the past 5 years. All of a sudden they make my account inactive and I lose my sales. This they did without any prior warning at all. I discovered this on my own when I found all my order links showing a 'parameter error'! When I inquired, they told me that my website was missing a number of documents such as privacy policy, refund policy etc (which is of course b.s; the link to all policies is right there on my homepage and salespages; maybe the person reviewing my website was a blind man!). I gave them the links to these policies and then they insisted that these links must be right on the order page (How am I supposed to do that? Since 2checkout really offers me a payment link redirect and not an order page). I insisted that these links are indeed ON the salespages from which customers would be ordering my products (in fact, not a single customer has raised an issue about these, in all these 5 years btw!).

When that was over they insisted that my salespages had no 'real marketing' at all. I asked what they mean by 'real marketing' since I indeed do the marketing required to sell my products.

At last they insisted that I give them access details to my customer areas (including membership login areas) so they can take a look around. I refuse this, because not only this would violate the privacy of my customers, I also don't trust them enough for that (ever seen a PayPal staff asking you for any kind of 'password/login information'?). This is the only thing I refused them and due to that they permanently set my account to 'inactive' status first and then to dormant status!

That over, I asked them to close my account and give me the remaining $54 balance I had in my account. 2checkout has a different 'release level' for each payment option they offer, in case you don't know, and if your balance is below that release level, then you won't get the money, no matter how much you beg. They said that:

'The minimum release level for a wire transfer is $300, for Payoneer is $20 and for Air Mail check is $100."

Based on the above, my only option was Payoneer. And on top of that - it is not the 'direct bank transfer' option of Payoneer, mind you (which is what I asked for because it is free but again was refused by 2checkout), but instead the MasterCard option which would actually require me to invest around $25 just to get the card! Didn't make any sense to me to spend $25 to get $54 back, so I decided to leave the balance in my account.

I thought (and requested too) that they would make an exception in case of account closure and send me one last air mail check! But NO! They are not humans at all! They are just working machines without any sense of empathy in them!

I am writing this so others know that they treat their customers like dirt, regardless of how long you are doing business with them! STAY AWAY from them! Even Paypal, as bad as they are, is still much better than 2checkout!

Oh, and did I tell you that they no longer offer services to internet marketers, although they are hardly explicit about this stupid rule! After all, they would tell you everything BUT the truth!

2 checkout is a legitmate company that is a payment gateway.  They have first class security measures.  I have been using them as a payment gateway for 8 or so years myself running a well known legitimate embroidery business.  The issue is that many customers do not recognise the name on statements and do not remember thier purchases or go back and check their online payment receipts. 2checkout emails each and every payer a payment receipt upon purchase.  If you learn to file away your online payment receipts then you would be able to trace payments.  They also take every effort to ensure you run a valid business, but like any payment method (Visa, paypal, etc) they can not necessarily assure you that the person you are dealing with or purchasing from is going to fulfill your order.  They will also request that you speak to the vendor you purchase from first as a first step in resolving your problem but they are usually very helpful if you have done this and then contact them to tell them if you have a problem with the purchase (ie you are dealing with a dodgey vendor).

But I will assure you 2checkout is not scamming you.  You just need to be aware of the purchases you make online and ensure you keep payment receipts so you can identify the charges you make to your credit card.  Not rocket science!

Apparently up until today, this bunch of people are not fully winded up and are still operating.
Just 15 mins ago, i cancelled my card for this transaction that is made in US for USD 104 from 2CO.

Please just apply for the OTP & Transaction sms from all the banks that enables you to swipe or tap the CC.
It might be irritating but better than let others use our hard earned money, i wouldnt even give them 1 cent.

I have mysterious charges on my Visa card.  2 from some place called  IDRO for $137.17 and 1 for $143.92 plus 1 from this 2CO.com NOVADS for $140.69 all these charges were first in US $ then exchanged into CDN $ so they are tagging us with exchange rate also.  I have tried to contact these companies but notice that all the phone numbers given  are short one digit.  Other than closing down the card is there anything else to try.  I am a Canadian pensioner and this kind of thievery is a burden I can do without.
