    Eric Symons and Steven Leflar named as defendants in numerous lawsuits. Musicians unpaid. In my opinion, both of them are total fraudsters.

      Eric Symons replies to Steven Leflar
      Steven LeFlar aka Steven McArthur, dba STB DJs, aka Simply The Best Entertainment has stolen over $200,000 from Thomas Scoenberger, Keith Johnson, Eric Martin, Wendy Wiggs, Mike Luna, Allegra Events, Ron Israel, Associated Entertainment Consultants, Angela Takeishi, and several others.

      Superior Court of Concord. Case number CSC09-1099

      Steve LeFlar (has recently been using the alias 'Steven McArthur') DBA North Bay Entertainment (later changed the name to "Star Sounds Productions", then changed it again to "Simply The Best Entertainment") found GUILTY of non payment of the live band, "Big City Revue" at the Intercontinental Hotel. Booking was made by Eric Symons, at the time working with LeFlar. Contract signed by LeFlar.

      Total judgement - $5200.00 awarded to Associated Entertainment (AE hired Big City Revue) Judgement entered on February 10, 2010.

      Although still working under the names "Simply The Best Entertainment" and "STB DJs",  in the Sacramento and Napa areas, LeFlar has not paid this debt.

      Steve LeFlar again found GUILTY of non payment of the live band, "Six and The City" at the Adeszko Wedding at Auberge Du Soleil. Booking was made by Eric Symons, at the time, working with LeFlar. Contract signed by LeFlar.

      Total judgement - $3600.00 awarded to Associated Entertainment (AE hired "Six and The City") Judgement entered on February 8, 2010.

      Although still working under the names "Simply The Best Entertainment" and "STB DJs",  in the Sacramento and Napa areas, LeFlar has not paid this debt either.

      In order to hide his identity, LeFlar inserted an ex employee, as the owner of "Simply The Best Entertainment" on paper, and has enterted his girlfriend, Cynthia Gretch, as owner of "STB DJ's" on paper.

      The collection agency, George Ballard Company, has been retained to collect this debt. Any information on Steve LeFlar, Steven McArthur (one of LeFlar's aliases) or Cynthia Gretch, Star Sounds Productions, Simply The Best Entertainment or STB DJs, (the relationship between Simply The Best Entertainment and STB DJs is unclear) that would assist in collection this debt should be forwarded to both the George Ballard Company, (925) 677-0300  ... and Associated Entertainment Consultants (AEC), (650) 348-7972

    Thomas Schoenberger is both a proven liar and a rip off artist in my opinion.

    For 16 years Thomas Schoenberger ran North Bay Entertainment and was in debt since 2000.

    He claims he sold the business to however he has no mbill of sale and wrote contracts clear through 2009.

    He also cunningly lied to all concerned trying to run away with the artists money for his personal perposes.

    Now a group of musicians that have all been lied to and ripped off by Thomas Schoenberger who also has not paid his employee his 2007 commisions  

    Thomas Schoenberger has also been operating without a business license since April 9, 2007.

    If you are a bay area musician, please stay away from doing business with Thomas Schoenberger or his associates.

    Anyone can call me to substantiate what I am saying and I will give you the contact information for the other musicians who will freely speak about their own experiences with Thomas schoenberger.

    Hey y'all Eric Symons and Steve Leflar never paid my band either ! I took them both to small claims court and on April 8th, Im gonna get a judgement against these folks. They are total scammers in my opinion

    I read Steve Leflar's lies here. I hear the same bull when him and Eric told me bad things about Thomas.
    It turned out that when I played a gig booked by Eric and wanted payment, he told me talk to Steve, who never called. This gig had nothing to do with Thomas. Eric ad Steve are the ones who conned me, not anybody else.
    They also conned Gig and the folks at AEC
    If there are any other bands out there who got the same run around from other musicians, please post here.
    Star Sounds Events is a criminal outfit in my opinion.

    This is Thomas Schoenberger's girlfriend. Steve Leflar is a master deceiver. From the various posts on the internet, he takes no responsibility for the many people he owes. My friend at Ledson just told me a similar experience with Star Sounds and Eric Symons and Steve Leflar. Their modus operandi is to take client deposits, hire the bands, then stiff the bands and blame Thomas, Associated Entertainment, or Kelley Productions.  Its funny how Mr. Leflar keeps on getting caught in his own web of lies, and how Eric Symons is right there to support Steve and go down with the ship.
    Steve Leflar has personally stalked me, including running my license plates and speaking with Faranak, Thomas's ex wife and trying to gather information on where we will and what business we do. He even went as far as to make a posting on his crazy website about me, who he has never met and who he knows nothing about.

    Please stay away from Steven Leflar and Eric Symons. They can create an evil website and fill it full of false information on Thomas, Gig and other people, but they cannot stop everybody from exposing their own misdeeds and they cannot stop the avalanche of lawsuits currently in progress. We all have had enough of Steven Leflar's complete lies and manipulations. If any band plays for Star Sounds, expect not to be paid.

    Gig is spearheading the effort to bring Star Sounds down. I am not involved. But I am happy to see Steve Leflar exposed as a manipulator of facts and a fabricator of lies. All the bands talk to us and they all tell us the same story. Talk to Gig Xifaras, the largest and most respected agent in the SF area if you want to hear whats in store for Steven Leflar and Star Sounds Production. Or you can go to his silly website and look at his tirades against the world. Take your pick.

    I had the same horrible experience with Star Sounds and Eric and Steve.They came to me blaming Thomas for everything and now seem to be blaming everyone who they owe. There is a clear pattern here. You can see they are now named as defendants in a number of cases. We all know the blame game that Steve Leflar is playing. His website attack on Thomas is BS. His attacked on Gig are also suspect.
    I played for Thomas for years and always got paid. The only problems I had with North Bay Entertainment was after Steve Leflar bought the business in spring 2008 and Eric Symons told me that Thomas had retired to compose music and do historical projects. Its too bad that Steven Leflar does not seem to have the maturity to take responsibility for his actions. All he can do is blame others through clever lies. Star Sounds Productions should b e shut down by the Dept of Labor. Thats where complaints can be filed.
    No matter what, clients and musicians should stay away from Eric Symons and Steven Leflar of Star Sounds productions.

    Steve Leflar is a liar and a deceptive person. Eric Symons is also dishonest.
    These two thieves burned me for two grand and tried to blame Thomas at first, then Eric told me that Meadowood Resort is slow paying. That was 2 years ago!

    Steve Leflar makes up lots of lies. He is detailed in his lies. They actually work sometimes.But the word is out on this person and too many old timers in the industry can small a rat when they get near one.
    I looked at this website about Thomas Schoenberger. It looks really weird for someone to put that much time into trying to slander someone who ran the same local business for 12 or 13 years and seemed to do a pretty good job.I had my own dealings with Steve Leflar and clients we both went after. Leflar was caught in lie after lie and thats why the clients go with me. But don't think I am not on to who Leflar really is. He is sneaky, underhanded and likes to create fake documents to back up his version of truth

    I am suing Steve and Eric in small claims. They totally lied. They said a bunch of bad things about Thomas, then booked me and never paid me. Now I know it was a bait and switch All I wanna do is play and get paid. I dont know who posted my lawsuit here but its true. I will NEVER play for Steve Leflar again. And by the way, Thomas had nothing to do with this !

    All suits are against North Bay Entertainment which Thomas Schoenberger owns 75% and is being suied for his theft from the company.
    He has many more suits on there way from people that he collected money from while operating without a license since April 9, 2007.

    Mr. Leflar, I have perused the website and to me, it seems rather suspicious that you don't put any of your own bank records on the site. From what I have been hearing, and receiving via e mail, there is a trail of money that leads to your door, not anyone else.
    The documents you put on this website could easily be fabricated.Furthermore, you protest too much. If you really feel like you are a victim in all this, why would you hide your own bank transactions? Why don't you put up the all important NBE Concord bank details if you really are telling the truth?
    Just so you know, I dealt with your company and I know I paid NBE Concord. So I know you have things on this website that are patently false. When you refuse to accept any responsibility, it looks suspect. Thats your first mistake. Your second mistake is to demonize a small community of musicians that obviously know each other and obviously had good experiences with North Bay Entertainment prior to your buying the company. The final mistake is that you really think the musicians care about your suppoed "truth" They just want to be paid and they want to be paid by the person who took their money.Take that from a lawyer who knows. You have some fundamental holes in your case.

    This is interesting because it reveals more about the creator of the documents than about Thomas Schoenberger. Did you ask Mr Schoenberger's permission to record him? Did you ask him if you had a right to post sensitive financial documents online? It seems clear from your rants and the stunning amount of time you put into this sladerous website that you are clearly a sick individual. I also note that you seem to have had all of the old house accounts of North Bay Entertainment for several years now Mr.Leflar. If all you can produce is old and spurious documents,that does not explain the recent spate of suits against Star Sounds Music.
