You enrolled you idiot.  Don't deny it.  You're just pissed because you think you got suckered into it.  Look at the policy.  100K benefit at 20 bucks a month.  Unheard of, you should be thankful that you even have this policy for your loved ones.  I know I am.

I am so thankful I have this coverage.  I've been reading these bizzare posts and can't believe how ungrateful people can be.  Do you all people realize that you have 100,000 in level benefit at a 20 dollar monthly premium.  Let me repeat 100,000 Dollars for only 20 bucks a month?  I did research and other policies out in the market at that level benefit amount don't even compare to this smart step IP insurance.  Look at the coverage, and stop bitchin about a measly 20 or 40 dollars that's being deducted per month.  Think about your loved ones.

My name is Cesar and I have 3 kids at home.  I compared this policy to other ones, and this is the one I chose.  All these posts I'm reading are making me sick.  If you care about your family, and you want them to be supported if you're not there keep this policy.  All these complaints and alleged unauthorized charges appear so Juvenile, and I know for a fact that that's not how they enroll clients.  You people make this 20 charge seem like everything in the world.  Think of your loved ones for heavens sake.

Marcus this is 20.00 a month for an ACCIDENT ONLY policy, not term life insurance.  Just want to make sure you peeps here from Smart Step are stating all the facts.  I for one will say I did sign up for the coverage, wish I hadn't can not get a hold of anyone to cancel my policy, never EVER got any info in the mail with the details of how to contact, cancel, what is even included.  My family would not even have a clue how to file a claim, and if your service is this bad with just collecting payments I can not imagine what it would be if some one God forbid had to file a claim.  The fact you all are on here still trying to manipulate people by not giving all the facts is ridiculous.  Accident policies in general are typically not expensive.  And you say a measly 20 monthly premium, what if tha is all I have to feed my family on, or to buy gas with this month is that 20 still measly? You guys are amazing- truly

Anyone that has a problem with Smart Step Ins., aka AIG, BOA and many others, you really need to make phone calls higher than the Better Business Bureau.  My husband and I sat down together and went over our account recently and thru the months had thought the other was buying Smart Step baby items and or medical items until we sat together and realized....nope, wasn't that and looked into Smart Step.  To say our jaws hit the floor is being kind.  I have spoken with the OCC (in the process of putting in a formal complaint against BOA), our states Insurance Regulators and filed a complaint and the F.B.I., which indeed investigates this sort of case.  I was told the F.B.I. would like to hear from more victims of this scam also to make a really solid case.  So please, call your local F.B.I. offices.  They are pros at this type of investigation and truely take it seriously.

    Scammed by Smart Stem
Im a single parent, and an unemployed-college student, who is looking for justice. Over the weekend, I became aware that Im a victim of Smart Step Insurance contract agreement scam. I made a request with their company to cancel this fraudulent contract and refund all my money; then I filed a complaint with the State of Florida General Attorney-Bill McCollum.

I am very concerned that United States' citizens still have a hard time with getting refunds from obvious scamming companies. I don't care how great a benefit this company is offering - NO means NO! I declined the offer for insurance with Smart Step/Bank of America; yet, they bind me into a contract anyway and steal $20 a month from my credit card account(from April 09 til October-totaling $140).

I pray that this ordeal is put to an end real soon, and that no one else is harmed.

how old are you? are you a college student who is so busy to check your bank account? they will take your money until your are 85 years old. then  they will drop you off like a hot potato. the money you have been allowing them to drain from your bank account will not stop until after several months of cancellation. Do you have you beneficiary's names? or the money will be paid to the state as they told me. these guys are invisible. we don't know who they are. they are stealing money from us. And you are siding up with them. Why don't you question why don't they cancel us.
hey. you get a long life to live. $20.00 monthly charged maybe is nothing to you. But if you invest your money with Mutual Ohama life insurance at least they will accumulate your money and allow you to take out your money from them- up to ten thousands of dollars. of course, you have to go the paper work and forms. Call their agent and ask them about their policy. just try to call IP Smart Step and cancel your premium. See it and hear it from yourself they will give you a hard time.
    good luck.

do you have their p hone numbers or email address so i would contact them too. I urge people out there. please take just a couple minutes and join us to get the thieves. They will not stop charging you until you do somthing about it. They topped last year after they took $200.00 from us. WE went straight to BOA/ After 3 months of dispute they stopped billing but refused to refund the money they illegally charged to our accounts. No paper works. no signatures. no beneficiary'a names. they told me when i died my money will go to the state. HOW ABSURD!!!

i was not the first nor the last victim. They charged me last year. i went to hell to stopped them. but they refused to refund the money they illegally charged me. This year they are doing htis again. I called BOA and requested them to intervene because they gave ourt my personal information. But they throguh their teeth and told me they did not do that. I have proof from IP Smart Step reccorded on a Cd. I will be more than happy to join any of you out there for the class action lawsuit. We should also suit them for causing our anxiety and mental illness. I lost 10bls in 2 weeks fof fighting with them for endless hours.

belive me they will not. call them back and ask for the name of their manager first and last name( which they will not give to you). and the cancellation number. they gave it to me and twisted their tongue aount a few days later and lied to me that such call was never made and there was no such number in their banking system. Call them record your conversation with them. in case later you want to have a dispute in court. email to people you know ask them to foin you and me to suit them for our mental disturbances to.

they gave me the cancellation number. but i did not record our conversation. they later denied that i called them or the number was given out. liars. how can they charge us without any paper works, signatures or any of our beneficary's names. Call them back. record your conversation. they will continue to charge you until you got sick and tired of calling them and allowing them to coninue to  charge you for $20.00 but you have  peace of mind. write down their name a the  time that took  place of your dialogues with them.
    good luck
