Harrassing Phone Calls

Someone from the Home Center calls every day to ask me to hire them for home improvement.  When I request that they take me off their list and do not call us again they scoff, make snide comments and hang up.  It is the same thing the next day.  How do we make them stop calling?  They don't seem to be a legit home improvement company and the number that appears does not have a way to reply to it.

They call me on an average of 50 times a month. I tell them the same thing. Not interested remove me from your list. The number is bogus and now they threaten to come to my home and do bodily damage. What can you do to stop this harassment when there is no legit phone number to.block or report. This is infuriating.

Just got a call from the Homecenter....  The lady on the line didn't like me getting loud with her after explaining how I keep getting these calls after I tell them I don't own a home and to stop bothering me.  I tried calling the number back, but its a disconnected phone number.

    I found this site

    http://myhomecenters.net/
    866-701-7706

and the guy who answered foolishly told me that they are a "confirmation Center" for many companies.  I asked him to confirm that one of the companies was Home Center, because I have tons of work and they keep hanging up on me when I try to talk to them.  Told him the rains we had damaged my room and a ton of water got in and caused more damage to the drywall and floor.  He then got excited and told me he could set up my free estimate if I gave him my phone number.

I told him it was fine, I would simply use the other guy who quoted me $80,000 for the repairs.  He kept apologizing for the other person, didn't know what happened, and kept trying to get me to change my mind.  Then I hung up on him.

Such anger on here... these things are a pain but for the most part it's unproductive to blame the callers and get angry at them for their employers' terrible business practices... I get these calls a few times a week and always tell them "I don't own a home, so I don't think I can take advantage of your offer." (It's true in my case, but you can lie.) They ALWAYS politely end the call after that. (Much nicer than trying to complain, then the callers usually get nasty in response.)

I got another call today from "the Home Center", just like every day for the past month or so. After reading this thread I decided to do a little digging. So first thing I did was a domain search on http://myhomecenters.net/ and came up with an anonymous GoDaddy listing with the Registrant Name: Tomer Erster. I then Googled the name, "Tomer Erster" and found him on LinkedIn as the CEO of a company called Proxyfone http://proxyfone.com/ a company selling business phone services. Turns out this guy is a real scam artist working out of his apartment building. Check out this complaint:  http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/proxyfone-tomer-erster/valley-village-california-91607/proxyfone-tomer-erster-tomer-erster-voip-pbx-los-angeles-valley-village-california-1338237
My suggestion is the next time you get one of these calls you tell the caller that Tomer Erster's name has been placed on an FBI complaint list and it's just a matter of time before he's arrested.

Here's another Tomer Erster website http://chhsinc.com/. This one specifically targets the home improvement market.

Call from Home Center, Scam Inc: Told the man who called to stop calling and harassing me! He actually had the nerve to say, "I know where you live!"...and then stated my full name and address. I called the police and made out a police incident report on this piece of sh#t! Blocked and reported to: DoNotCall.Gov

Bee-otch - Thanks to GOOGLE and other sites, they sold out our PRIVACY, and using public records, they know our phone number and addresses.  I wrote a letter to the GOOGLE CEO, but I am NOT expecting an answer.

You probably CANNOT locate them to sue.  Thanks to GOOGLE and other sites, they sold out our PRIVACY, and using public records, they know our phone number and addresses.  I wrote a letter to the GOOGLE CEO, but I am NOT expecting an answer.  I have an unlisted number, but that does not mean squat.

I regularly get call from home center.  Mrs. G I talked to you last "January and you asked me to call you back."  Lies, my standard reply to any telemarketer is to hang up.  This morning I got 2 calls from separate people at "home center" within an hour.  I was not very polite to the second person.  These calls have been going on for years.

Same thing, calls going on for months. I am almost ready to change my phone number to get away from them. They call 2-3 times per day if I don't answer (I can always tell, its a call that comes from local numbers that are not in my address book). I usually just hang up on them, today I tried to get information out of the caller but he was not going to give me anything, no call back number, no business address. I asked to speak to the manager and then he became verbally abusive so I told him fine I'm calling the BBB and hung up. I really wish there was some way to have them quit calling. I don't know how they got my number, I am usually very selective in giving out my cell number...

Caller 'said'; they were the Home Center, but the call comes in with OUT OF AREA and no number.   They said they wanted to replace my old-fashioned water heater with a new tankless, but I told them to take me off their list.  I'm back to blocking ALL calls with NO numbers.  Some of my spouse's friends do not display numbers, but I educated them to use *82 so their call would come through.

Found them on Yelp based on the address posted here.  Here's the listing: https://www.yelp.com/biz/top-construction-glendale
Called the number ((888) 351-0090) and was transferred to a guy with heavy Indian accent telling me I qualify for a $100 Walmart gift card!!!  Unbelievable!  Anyway - got one bit of information: He confirmed it was "The Home Center" when asked, but then refused to transfer me to anyone "because the lines were busy" and just proceeded to push the gift card scam.  Persistence is their thing for sure!

For the last six months, I been getting at least 15 calls per week from these guys.  I've had as many as four in one morning!
I have an idea:  What if everyone made an appointment with these guys and when the quote guy shows up, tell them how sick and tired we are of their calls.  Tell them that we will waste their time just like they want to waste ours.  My bet is the Home Center will be out of business very soon.
