My membership got transfered from Bally to Blast and I never was informed, since I didn't care for Blast I asked for a refund of my membership and this has been such a task!!
Bally's states that my membership is no longer with them and I have to call Blast, Blast tells me that Bally's charged me and I have to call them???. So far I have no moneys from either one of the clubs, I even was told by Blast that I have to go to a Bally's club to cancel again (I'm in Tx and bally's is in CA). I wonder if anyone knows how to go about it or how to sue both of this places??
or maybe I'll just take a plane ride to try to get my $181.86 and enjoy the nice CA weather!!!

We are also having the same problem with Blast Fitness. We never received any notice of the changes. My husband and I were in an accident and put our account on hold for three months. As soon as we could we got back to the gym. The very day I went back, mid July, the hot tub, sauna and steam rooms were all down. A month later.... still down. Two weeks later find out that the steam rooms have been condemned by the board of health and Blast has no plans on fixing it. Told them then and there that we are canceling, they are still billing us and as of today...... all of the above are still not working. This is regarding the location in Humble, just North of Houston.

I just received a phone call from Seasoned Associates claiming that I have a $126 balance with them. I paid for a three year membership IN FULL in 2010. I have never signed a contract with Blast Fitness. I am furious. I told the rep that they can proceed however they need and that I will dispute it with the credit bureau. He was unable to even tell me HOW I accrued these charges. I asked for literature on the whole thing and was told I could log into MyiClubOnline.com. I logged in and the only contract is the one with Bally's. This company is BAD. In Katy and in Sugar Land (I was no longer living in Humble by the time the changes happened so I cannot say for sure on them) never even took the Bally's signs down. They temporarily covered them with banners and when those fell off, they didn't even bother putting them back. I feel that this was false advertisement and that they did this to intentionally confuse Bally's Total Fitness members and trick them into accumulating charges with Blast Fitness. I will not pay this company a penny!

For anyone who is keeping up with the issues with this company, I have reported them to the BBB as running a scam. If you haven't reported your problems yet, you should.

I actually went into the Sharpstown location (Houston). Spoke to someone there, they made a call and agreed to cancel. Gave me a letter of cancellation and it was all [***]. This was about 6 months ago at more than $22.00 a pop I was still being billed for (EFT). Sounds like a class action suit to me. We didn't sign up for Blast.  We bought into what was a good brand, Bally's. What the hell is a Blast frigging Fitness? Email me at thubbardrockies@aol.com and let's get our money back plus damages from this fraudulent [***] company.

Also same damn problem!!  Before moving out of Texas for work in January I followed all proper steps to discontinue my membership, hitting all possible ways to cancel.  That includes sending a fax letter, email, letter, and called!  Now, after six months, they still are trying to charge me when I cancelled.  I blocked them payment, but now they threaten debt collection. F**k that!! Seriously, that is just wrong. I was a Bally member, NOT Blast.  Very upset.  How could a company like this have the ability to ruin someone's credit for their wrongdoing.  I'm really upset.

I got a letter from some lawyers,I called to talk to them and they just went crazy and acted ugly on the phone ! They say that blast fitness sold my contract to golds gym ,they started charging  my credit card ,I got it stopped and I got the charges dismissed on my credit card .They sent me some papers that said ,pay $56.00 and sign a one year membership with golds gym and they will dismiss all other charges ,they called it amnesty ! Sounds more like a conn jobs to get me to sign up with golds gym .Gold's gym claims that they were sold a membership by blast fitness .....................that never existed !!!!!!!!!!!

I am being charged $324.72. I tried to cancel but was told I could not. I informed the ABC Financial phone 1-555-827-9262 that because I signed up with Bally's I am obligated to pay Blast. I informed the representative that there is not location in my area. I was a member of Bally's since 1992 I should have been notified of the change and given the option to cancel/or remain active. We who have this problem should join together and file a suit against this injustice.

Blast signed me up for a membership and took the first and last months payments on 1/8/2015.  On 1/9/2015 the doors to the gym were LOCKED with a sign on the door saying they were being evicted for non payment of their rent.  By 1/12/2015 the doors were unlocked so I utilized my membership for about 3 weeks before I went to the gym on a Thursday night and the doors were LOCKED again!!!  This time the doors remained locked all weekend.  Finally on the following Thursday I went by the gym and the lights were ON.  I stopped in for a workout but when I walked in, the rep was from Gold's Gym.  I was told the Blast Gym went out of business but that they would honor my Blast Membership at Gold's Gym which is 15 minutes further away than Blast is from my home and work.  ( I work out on my lunch break so I would end up driving 30 min to the gym and 30 min back to work and NOT get any working out accomplished if I were to drive ALL THE WAY THERE ) So the desk clerk told me to call this 888 827 9262 to cancel my membership.  When I did the rep says that she will not cancel my membership until I pay a 54 dollar cancellation FEE.  Blast sold me a membership KNOWING they were going out of business ( THE DOORS WERE LOCKED THE NEXT DAY ) and then they made me pay 2 months down which was 50 bucks....3 weeks later they LOCK THE DOORS AND CLOSE SHOP and tell me that they will keep running my ACH drafts until I pay them a cancellation fee.  I am VERY interested in a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT if anyone else is....

I had personal training at Blast Barker Cypress location. My personal trainer told me that Blast will be closed but not sure when. I immediately submitted personal training cancellation notice but the company withdraw the $130 for next 4 sessions on 2/13 (as last withdrawal), one day before they close the location. On 2/14/2015 my personal trainer did not show up and the manager at the front desk told me that they are going to close as of today. He told me to call either ABC financial or Gold's gym for any questions. ABC financial told me that Blast was bought by Gold's Gym so I have to use up my unused session over there. I called Gold's gym and the manager over there told me that they bought membership but personal training is not their responsibility. I was told to call ClubReady. ClubReady told I have to call Blast Corporation for refund. When I call Blast Corporation number 855-805-0397, it goes to voice mail. Same thing when I called Blast Customer Service 646-213-3000. I sent e-mail for refund. No one reply. I have 7 unused personal training credit and in the blast system it says it will expire within 70 days (about $230 worth). I am interested in CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT too.

I am having problems getting 3 years of charges $800.00 taken off my credit card. I have never signed any documents or even been in a Blast facility, I was a member of Bally's since mid-80's. I only renewed annually but was not an automatic renewal.  this is Fraud and Scam I hope the FTC get involved. I am in discussion with my credit card company about this so any additional information would be appreciated

I'm in the exact same situation as Steve above. Unfortunately, it took me 4 years to finally notice the $273 yearly payment they were stealing from my account once a year. I had been a Bally's member since the 80s and extended my membership out 1 year in 2011 (for $80) to do some rehab. Never consented to auto-renew or anything like that, and never heard from anyone again about being charged. They even tore the club completely down a few years ago to make room for office buildings.

I cancelled my credit card thinking someone stole the number when I saw the charge this year and had no idea what it was. Then eventually got in touch with ABC financial to learn they have been charging me every year at $273 for a membership I never signed up for. Even better, when I talked to ABC, they said I would need to pay for all of 2016 before they would allow me to cancel!!!

Cancel this feels like a membership I did that last year September. I went in I filled out forms, I wrote letter, I called and mail documents and still there saying there was no response. I called a few weeks ago and spoke to a manager Wyanita and she said she will fix it if I show proof which I did and still there not fixing the amount. These people are very shady and I want stop until justice is served. I going threw my attorney to file a lawsuit. Also, I have a recording with the manager that said she would fix it and nothing.
