He says I owe SJM marketing a payday loan I supposedly took out on May 13, 2010. My bank statements do not show adeposit into my account on that date in the amount of $265.00.These people are harrassing me at work and at home. I would like for it to stop.

They are often reported to have thick Indian accents, and may be calling via VoIP from India, which allows them to easily change their phone numbers. They are also reported to have access to old payday loan data and possibly credit reports, which helps them fake the appearance they are collecting on some "payday loan". Access to skip trace or credit information allows them to locate employers or relatives to harass or use to threaten embarassment.
They are just criminals who can't carry out any of their threats. File complaints with your local police and the FBI.
If you are inclined, play dumb and waste their time until they get mad. Maybe they'll have a stroke or get heart disease.
I have called Attorney Generals office, my bank, and the Federal Trade Commision. Still have a couple more calls to make.
Have a couple names, of these scammers.
