    Kingston,  JM - 876-409-1578 - 12:21 am on 8-11-11

I was told I won 2.5 million and a new mercedes benz and they kept changing the dollar amount that I had won. They insisted they be allowed to come to the house to drop off the car that afternoon at 3:30. I told him that I couldn't because I had to work. I told them I didn't want it and he got upset. He wanted to know if I wanted to donate it to someone else and I said yes to donate it to the Red Cross. They told me that the prize was from Wal Mart. Then sometime between 8-12 and 8-14 while I was out of town my house was broken into and I was robbed of all of my electronics, money, credit cards. weapons, tools and jewelry anything of value and they also stole all of my keys.

I have been receiving phone calls from these people for the last couple of weeks.  The first couple of calls I couldn't even understand what the man was saying.  Than another person called that spoke english and explained that I had a car and a large sum of money that I had won. They wanted to know if I was going to be home the next day.  I told him not to call again and that I was going to call the police. I got another call today 8/16/11 the man said he worked for  The American unclaimed money department and his name was Richard Taylor from New York.  I had won 3 million 500 thousand and I needed to buy a Reloadable moneyback scratch card from Walmart for $200.00 to claim my prize. I told him not to call again to take me off his list and that I was going to call the police when I got off the phone.  I do have a case file with the police and I had my phone service block all the numbers we could find from them.

Recieved 2 calls in past 2 days from 876-428-3583.  Today he threatened to burn down my house this afternoon if I did not receive his package.  He then stated my address. I am blocking this number and hope he does not call back.

Are any of the people involved in the USA?   They seem to offer to give a person a ride  if they say that they don't have any way to go to the  bank, pharmacy, or whatever their suggestion of the day is.   Also  even if they are in Jamaica wouldn't  making harassing phone calls in this country violate the laws of this country?

As for solutions my thoughts would be use a caller ID and don't answer the numbers of that area code, answer the phone and lay down the receiver for 30 minutes or so then hang up, pick up the receiver and hang up, block the calls, ask the phone company to block the calls if you can't.  They should if they know there are threats being made. Perhaps at the beginning of each call  state the calls are being monitored or recorded then state time and date, whether you record them or not. Contact your congressmen.  The internet has sparked some new laws for safety, perhaps there should be some for international callers as well.

I was researching pages online about these scams.  There are so many of them and so many hurt people I think it's a terrible thing.  It almost seems like a form of warfare against the citizens of our country.

Hmm... I wonder if our government sends aid  money to the  Jamaican government???

He called from 1-876-487-4636 asking for my recently deceased father. I pretended to be interested and got the information he was offering. I then told him I was calling the police department, BBB, and Do Not Call list to report him. He hung up on me then called me back. I told him not to call here again so far he hasn't called back. How dare someone do this to an elderly person. My mother said he called lastweek also. He wanted me to go to the nearest Western Union. He gave the name of a Broker named Darrian Thompson, in Kingston Jamaica WI. The amount was for $300....

Second call this year. Told my senior citizen mother that she won 2.5 million plus a Mercedes Benz. Great the catch.. spend $250 on a money pack from store. I told him to hold and I call an attorney,  and I started recording call.  I told him we are being recorded and I was advised to pass on this deal.  He hung up on me.

A man called me this morning.  Said my first name and asked that I keep the receipt he gave me confidential.  I said I have never received a receipt from him and have never spoken to him in my life.  Who was he?  He said that's the problem (my name) you never listen to me when I speak to you.  He freaked me out so bad I hung up the phone.  It was from JM Kingston 1-876-299-4144.  He attempted to call back and I did not answer.  Thought he was a crazy man so called my local police station and reported this phone call.  Only later after my husband googled the number did we know it was a scam.  I thought he was a crazy person and did not know his intent!

"J M Kingston" has been calling our house for months!  We blocked his number the other day FINALLY, but he called back this morning.  I see from reading others complaints that his number keeps changing, so it's hard to block this guy permanently.  Too bad all his energy isn't spent on some worthwhile endeavor - like helping the poor.

I received a message today from "David Sawyer" who claimed to be from Publishers Clearing House telling me I had won a prize. The number he calls from is 876-573-2175.  I called back and got a recording of him again claiming to be from Publishers Clearing House.  He called back later and left another message apologizing that he missed my call but was "in a meeting" but urged me repeatedly to call him "anytime night or day" as I had won 7.5 million dollars and he needed to let me know how to claim it.  After reading all these reports, I'm wondering what happens next.  Apparently he's calling from Kingston Jamaica (JM) - and probably using all sorts of aliases.

My husband has been getting these calls for months now and the guy is always asking for a Mr.Moore. When we tell him this is the wrong number he just goes on to say the he knows us and to get Mr. Moore! So one day I got on the phone and told to please not call again and he told me to go find my husband and suck his d!@k and then hung up. Although, he still hasn't stopped calling, my husband just doesn't answer his daily call from this guy.

Experience the same as reported by many others above.  Persistent phone calls although I am on both state and federal "Do not call" registries as well as supposedly having an unlisted number.  Ha.  Clearly they have access to some hacked data base as they have my name, address and phone #.  I hope that is all they have.  Previously I have shut them down quickly with "How did you get this number?  I don't know you and have no interest in talking to you.  PLEASE do not call again."  In the last two days have received 9 calls.  On the first, I finally let them run their scam and played along-- ridiculously large sweepstakes prize plus new Mercedes, and I would only have to send $550 through Walgreen's!  Have reported them to WI Consumer Protection Agency and local law enforcement.  Land line provider says they cannot block these calls although they are anonymous.  I am now highly paranoid as they quizzed me about neighbors, privacy, and used a lot of religion as part of their "schtick."  Report them! I am pretty sure they are bouncing these calls out of Jamaica-- JM Kingston?!!  Have re-upped my registration on state and fed "Do not call" registries.  I fear I will have to abandon current phone service and move to another carrier to get rid of them.  This morning they called at 6:30 AM.  There is a special place in hell . . .

This guy calls numerous times a day. Changing his story everytime he calls. Feel free to just curse at him, that seems to make him more inviting. He will try to get you to receive a check. Just cut him off. He enjoys that as well! (:

I had a call from him today from 876-872-9734.  Caller ID said Cell Phone JM the first time and Unknown Name the second time.  The first time I tried to listen to him for a while, but it was very hard to understand him through his thick accent.  I knew it was some kind of scam, but his instructions didn't make sense and it made me nervous.  I started writing things down.  He told me he was from UPS, that they have been trying to deliver a package from Publishers Clearinghouse.  He asked if I had a drivers license and security card.  I said yes, but didn't give him details (he didn't ask).  He then told me to go to CVS or Walgreens and give them my license, security card, and these 5 code words that I wrote down.  Of course, this made no sense, and I had no intention of doing any of it...but I wrote down all of the info.  He said I would get a card worth $250 when I give them this info at CVS.  Once I do that, I should come home and I'd get a delivery from UPS with the winnings from Publishers Clearinghouse.  He asked when I thought I'd be done going to CVS.  I didn't really answer, and he asked "4:30?".  I said "sure".  He said he would call back then and someone would deliver the UPS package after it was done.  It made no sense, even in terms of a scam.  I was nervous that it was someone attempting to make me leave my house for some reason and I called the police and filed a report.  The officer instructed me not to answer the calls again, and that if he called again and left a message they would listen to it for me.  I just received another call from the same number, but I did not pick up and he did not leave a message this time.  I assume we will have to block the number based on other reports on here.  However, I also see that he may just call from another number next time.  Thanks to everyone else who posted about this sicko.

He called again 3 times today and left a voice mail the last time, claiming he was Robert Miller, that I asked him to call back and he's been trying to reach me.  Yea, right.  I just blocked the phone number and waiting to see if he tries to call again from another number.  Ridiculous...

I hear the complaints but what is the solution??  I would love to watch him get locked up for such harressement. I am the elderly and he must know that.  Praise the Lord I cannot be persuaded. He is never gonna break me.  However I would give him a good tip just to quit.  It would be to plant his corn early.  That is all he is gonna get from me.BV
