They're at it non-stop, 876 area code.  The rest of the number doesn't matter, since there are 1000's of offending numbers.  I've received 5 phone calls today from these turkeys.  Three of which were in a span of 15 minutes.  Four yesterday, 3 last week, 1 of which they left a voice message.  Sounded like 2 Jamaican women chatting and laughing to each other.

I can just picture this low life, sitting on a couch with a piece of paper with 20 phone numbers on it.  He/she probably paid 1 goat or 1 chicken to pay for this list of cell phone numbers.  So you can be darn sure that this is his/her job, and he/she is going to try very hard to get their monies worth by harassing strangers.
Think about it, they're not doing anything else. Likely milking their goats while randomly dialing illegally obtained cell numbers.
Short of changing my phone number, I'm not sure what else to do, since my carrier can't / won't block numbers.  And those cell phone applications to filter or block calls, merely divert the call to your voicemail OR pick up/hang up the call, which costs airtime.  Now, there are 'selective call forwarding' features available on land lines, but not on my cell phone plan, and besides...that would cost me airtime to forward the offending number to another number.
[***].  Tis the world we live in unfortunately.  Thankfully I haven't picked up the phone or returned a phone call.  Yet he/she is awfully persistent and I'm sure trying to piss me off enough to return or answer the phone call, to verify my existence.
Of course, life is too short to let scum ruin your day, so I'm going to put a time limit on these pricks, then just change my number.

Hey James, I feel your pain.  It's not unusual for these low lives to threaten you with violence.  Bear in mind, these Jamaican's have absolutely no respect for human life, yet the threat is veiled since they cannot afford a flight, let alone an extra goat to feed their families.

Serious action needs to be imposed on these creatures.  Since this number is coming from Jamaica, all tourist travel should be halted and trade severed.  Although that is highly unlikely, since I'm sure some North Americans have property or frequently vacation in Jamaica.  Perhaps we can contact some Jamaican authorities and provide them with numbers and how you will no longer vacation in Jamaica if they do not take care of these idiots.

I'm not sure what the solution is aside from telephone service providers finally appeasing us, by blocking out numbers on their end.  I'm from Canada and there isn't one service provider available to me that will block numbers.  I mean truly block a number from reaching your line.

Had a call yesterday and again today. Yesterday they tell me I have won lots of money by using my charge card and debit card(I do not have a debit card. Today they say that they are with Publishing Clearing House and that I have won millions of dollars and prizes and that I need to go purchase a moneygram in the amount of $280.00

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou...............your posts are wonderful.  I am  not too old to recognize a scam........PUSHY is what this clown is.  Thankfully, my phone has caller ID and I am great with internet searches. JM Kingston shows up as 876-843-6959 this time. Yes, I was just called.  250,000 and a 2010 Mercedes were the bait.  2,500.00 in a green card through cvs or walmart was the hook........Told the guy I did not trust his offering...he called back 3 times and told me to look his company up.  He claimed they were legit........right.  Well, his company's name is mutable...united american assurance......insurance?...nothing made sense till I looked up JM Kingston.  The scam was clear, everchanging, but consistent in important ways.   Thankyou to all who have posted......ever vigilant, Luckylin

The fool called back...again.  This is such a hoot.  He spoke with my husband, yet active duty, who commands over half the USMC....tried to intimidate him with threats of violence against me.........talk about lame.
All information has been turned over to CID...he will definitely get 'attention' now.  Luckylin

It isnt just one person...I have had a woman even call from this kingston number!!  I have ignored the calls - which makes them call more, I have answered and told/yell at them to stop calling.  They will not stop!!  There has even been several news stories about this...BUT, NO ONE has any suggestions on how to stop this!  My next step is to block all international calls, but why should I have to pay for someone harassing me!!

This number has been calling my dad for over 2 months and they have already conned him out of money. They have brain washed him into believing he has won millions of dollars and a car. We have been trying to convince him it is a scam, but he actually believes that they are going to give him money! I have tried to show him youtube vids about the scammers and everything he will not listen! we have tried to block their number and told them to stop calling but they call and call! We are almost at our wits end!!

After months of these calls, I came home the other day to a message telling me, in a Jamaican accent, that it was UPS calling and they have a package for me. Right, in Jamaica. They might not know the phone says the origin of the call.  I finally called AT&T. If you dial *60, press the talk button, directions are given to block call. You can enter the number as they're talking and when finished it will tell you that the block is on. For other phone services call and ask.  This way the phone doesn't ring when that number is used and they are given a message telling them they cannot get through. If I receive a call from another of their numbers I'll do the same thing. I was given a very vulgar response when I told them not to call me months ago. During a 9 day blackout in October I used an old phone and was called and told they were going to fix my electricity. Unbelievable.

JM Kingston is not his name, it refers to the source of the call. Kingston Jamaica
