non response to requests for refund on faulty items

I bought 2 android tablets as christmas presents. One stopped working after 2 weeks and the other after 3 weeks. I notified Ebellking via email and they said return items to China at my cost. I read their returns policy because I wasn't happy to spend any more money with them. The returns policy mentioned that repairs should be paid for by me, plus the cost to ship back to UK. The policy also said that they only refund on goods that are resaleable. This opened up a few questions and concerns which I emailed to them 3 times and they just didn't respond. They don't answer the phone number in Surrey which I think has now been removed and I have wasted 140 pounds on rubbish that's fit for the bin. My advice would be DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I have heard nothing since I returned the tablet and all I get is that it is waiting repair. I have complained about this as the tablet was faulty when I recieved it, I also pointed out to them about non compliance with the trading standards and have threatened to report them. They don't seem to care one bit. I am out of pocket by a considerable amount (inc. P&P) and still need to find something else as this was meant as an 18th Birthday present for my son.
I feel really frustrated that I have become a victim of one of these rougue trading companies and would strongly advise anyone to avoid buying anything from them EVER.
it was not stated that the product came from direct from cheina either. Feel worried that i have lost my money!
I bought two Flytouch 8 Android Tablets at the end of November 2012, one for me and one for my 78 year old mother. First of all I was very annoyed when DHL charged me over £8 to deliver the items as Ebellking state "free delivery" on their website. Alarm bells started ringing when the pro-forma invoice included with the delivery said "Sample of no commercial value". Both tablets worked fine initially but mine stopped working after a few weeks - the screen stopped responding to touch, icons moved about and apps opened randomly. I got in touch with the Customer Service team who told me to reset the tablet which I did but this did not fix the problem. Then they told me to reset the tablet back to the factory settings (i.e. wiping all my data/apps/settings). I did this and now the tablet won't start up. I had a Skype call with Catherine99266 (she did not have video link) and showed her the problem. She sent me some "firmware" files which I have downloaded to my computer but they won't open. Now she has stopped responding to my e-mails. After reading the many negative posts about this company I don't hold out much hope of a happy ending. I didn't expect a top of the range Android device for the money I paid but I did expect the product to work for more than few weeks.

they returned it unopened!!say they never received it and now want me to sent it to china for repair
they are just giving me the run around untill i give up!!
what a rip off company -stay clear!!
surely there is some way to stop them ? rogue traders??
