I got a call today at home from a man stating he was a process server for Collin County DA's Office and he is with the Sheriff's office and needed to come serve a warrant on me.  I was shocked and asked why?  He stated do you live ....are you still at this address are you now at this address and I stated who are you?  He again, stated he was from the county going to serve court papers on me today. He gave me a toll free number for what he stated was the county's office which is 1 866.872.6116 gave me a case no. which he called a Cause No. 008307-TX. I called the number was transferred to a Mr. Fisher's office who stated that law suite in the amount of $6,214.24 was filed in Collin Co., Tx and that warrant was out for me.  He then after back and forth said let me get more information from my secretary and state this was for an outstanding debt in from Capital One a credit card that I obtained several years back and had disputes over interest charges etc.  He stated that if I did not want to go to court or jail that I could pay $1,951.00 in full by end of business today and this matter could be cleared up.  I explained that I recently lost my job etc.  Anyway, he stated that I needed to call him back by EOB today or they will serve the papers.  Ok, so that was a heads up for me.  I called the DA's office nothing is filed on me as of today, after searching PMG it is clear that they do not practice best practices for collections and have been in trouble for this before back in 2004.  I need someone to give me advise. I want to pay off my debt, I don't want this type of collections to continue this upset me, made my blood pressure raise, this type of collections are not the right thing to do.  Had they called and ask to make arrangements or give me an opportunity to clear the matter, rather then threaten me by taken legal action, or harassment stating they are sending a sheriff over today.  This is wrong, bad business, and should not continue this company is bad news.

    I unfortunately answered an out of state call on my personal cell phone from an "investigator" from this company St Amant and Assoc. He asked to speak with a "brian" I informed him that I did not know a brian but I have in the past 5 years received phone calls for this gentleman. I asked him to remove my number from his call list and he informed me that I needed to find "brian" and until I do he was not going to take me off a list. I'm 5 months pregnant and will not be harassed by some creep after I told him he had the wrong number. Does anyone know if they have to take you off their list after explaining I wasn't associated with the individual they were looking for?

      Yep.....they do have to stop calling if you tell them they've got the wrong person/number.  Try to get their contact info and file a complaint with the FTC.  Then get a lawyer cause the FDCPA provides that the scamming debt collector has to pay your laywer's fees when you win.

      "St Amant and Assoc" was the name used in a fake "law firm" website the Corona Scam was in the process of setting up when FTC raided them.  The name appears borrowed from the last name of an attorney in the area, except that he has his own website, and appears to practice law other than "consumer debt collection".

      Looks like another Corona entity is rising from the ashes, despite the court orders.

      Yes, they have to, per your request to take you off their calling list. If they don't call your lawyer for advice. Also call your local police department and BBB and FTC. Also, would suggest you change your phone number. Only give it to family and people you deal with, such as work or any creditors that are trustworthy to you. We got a call from a place and were told to pull our credit report by our lawyer and see if the company that was saying we owed the debt to was on there. Also, see if the company calling you has inquired a credit report. If they have, it is illegal for them to do that. Best wishes and let me know how you make out.

    I'm not personally involved but do like to read gossip once in awhile this website is better then the gossip magazines. Just find it funny how people believe all they read and if they are not getting what they want start their own bull. Anyway obviously they have moved on with life like it or not. Just saying maybe it's time for everyone to do the same. I'm sure when all is said and done we will find out! Hope you get all you want and need you must have been a victim of these people. You must be a professional debtor yourself. But if blaming others makes you get away without paying good for you.

      As for "moving on", so far it looks like they all moved on to do exactly the same thing.
      Since they aren't learning, they need a bigger lesson.

    The Attorney on the civil case (Scott Harlow) lost his rights to practice in California for misconduct on a previous case. He has a stayed suspension for two years and will be on probation for 3 years. Whats going to happen to the civil case??

      Michael why have you not answered? The attorney you work for lost his Bar for a year in California it's in the Riverside court records! What is going to happen with the civil case?? It's says misconduct I hear that is really bad when it comes to being an Attorney what is going to happen??

    This thread had gotten so rediculous! You people have gotten so far off track with all these stories and lies! Jason has never fought in mma, Wayne did and lost almost every fight! Alex Marquez did open his own collection company with his brother Victor! That moron actually opened his office in Wayne and Jason's first office in Corona! Word has is that Alex has lost almost everything, his houses, his cars and even most of his friends. John Cook has burned almost every bridge he could. He has tried to go and work for several offices but suddenly quit after the first day or two. He has been accused of stealing scripts from those offices and rumor has it he is currently trying to gather old employees to work for him at his million dollar investors new collection office. Many of the old employees have moved on to legit jobs and have tried to get back to the normal life. Its very sad to hear that Wayne and Jason have still been getting paid by the FTC to support their families while the employees who made them their millions didnt get [***]. Think and say what you want but bottom line most of us worked there for one thing, to support our families! We were being told that lawsuits were being filed and we were also aked to supply lists of people who refused to pay their debt so they could be placed in the attorney file for lawsuits to be filed! Some of us lost everything and what did Wayne and Jason loose, Jason's Audi or Waynes Mercades, a mulit million dollar bank account that turns out wasnt even legally collected! The consumers and most of the employees are the real victims here! I rest my case.
