@'Law100'  You are the one who needs a life. This person asked for comments?? Hence the whole idea of this. Was there a problem with giving sound advice to someone like, "If you owe it, then you should probably pay it." ?   If you are educated then you know as well as i do that 8 out of 10 payday loans should not have been taken to begn with. If you are borrowing at those ridiculous rates then you are more likely to be underemployed paycheck to paycheck hoping nothing goes wrong. Do you think these idiots are thinkers??? Have a little more class next time.

Educated?? replies to been on both sides
I'm afraid that if YOU were educated as you think the other person should be, you would know that a capital I is used when writing a statement, dingbat!! Check your spelling before you rip others....begn?? Really?? You should have the class you are asking others to have!

That was idiotic. Payday loans are illegal. TRL has cease and disest orders all over the country. Contact the FTC. Dont take their calls.

Contact your state Attorney General to see if the lender, and this debt collector, are licensed in your state.

You are telling this person to pay, but i called and found out this company has been threatening people and is a shady company. They are located in Kansas City. MO and no attorney general has heard of them. If you live in Kansas how do you have a Maryland area code. I looked up the telwphone number and there are no matches for this cimpany. You need to reaearch this company

People are so quit to call someone shady or a scam. Was it a scam when you asked for the money and they gave it to you? So who in fact, is scamming who now?

Funny you should mention Kansas City MO.

There is a cluster of very shady payday lenders using mail drops in Kansas City MO that engage in fraudulent payday lending and use equally shady "debt collectors" to coerce payments in violation of state laws.  They typically claim to operate out of offshore locations in the Caribbean to avoid U.S. law, but use U.S. front addresses to appear to be U.S. based.

For example, search on "CMG Group" and you will find reports of crammed "payday loans" deposited into consumer accounts despite no authorization, used to create the appearance of a "payday loan" with interest rates as high as 900%, and instantly followed by "interest only" charges that remove the amount of the "loan" within weeks, after which the "payday loan" shows up "in collection" at alleged amounts up to several thousand.

Kansas City MO BBB is familiar with this group.

I'm so glad to know that this company has done this before. I had a little problem a few months ago, i was looking on line for info about getting a pay day loan. when i filled out an application thinking i was registering for info. when i found out what the interest rate was i changed my mind and didn't go thru with it.

two weeks later i went to withdraw money from my acct there was $400 extra in my acct. I called the bank to let them know it was a mistake, the bank gave me the number to who made the When i called them and told them i did not authorize the deposit they told me i still had to pay them the interest rate of $120 because i didn't call to cancel within three days. I told them they can go back into the acct and take the mobey back they refused. I asked them to send me a copy of the contract i suposedly sighned, they e=mailed me an agreement with an electronic signature with my name dated 8/16/12 when the money was deposited on 8/13/12. They forged the my name on the contract. Still i left the money in my acct for two weeks before i forced closed the acct. they tried to collect the money by trying to withdraw different amount under different name, of course i put a claim to the bank each time and got my money back. i had to withdrarw the money to close the acct. now they keep harrassing me on my job. If they want their money back now they're going to have to take me to court.

When the pattern of complaints indicates violations of law, you can expect that searching for more information will reveal additional violations.

In fact, when your posts show up, it's a clue to look for violations, since you appear to believe that the law doesn't apply to debt collectors.

    Your being investigated
Its said that people like to post comments from their own or alledged working business. Stop scamming because you need xtra money. Stop pretending to work for an company if you dont. Thats more of an crime and will cause well known businesses to be involved. No one does the things you do . No attorneys have heard of your company, fair trade hasnt heard of you, no states attorney heard of yoir company. So where are you lovated, cause Mark doesnt know. Stop doing shady things if your an scam because im going let any and all attoeneys know about ypur ways. Any one receiving calls from theae people  they are going against the fdcpa and there are lawyera out there that are willing.to take on cases. My lawyer hasnt heard of this company and the company Total Recovery Solution based in MA is tired of receiving threats. And as for paying back payday loans deal with the company. To all total recovery solutions employees next time you call me yoir business will be on television under investigation.

Names are just words over the phone.
    Please post phone numbers.

That allows tracking against other complaints, and also identifying fakes who keep changing their phone numbers.

Hey scumbag maybe you are not familiar with the fair collections act what these companies are doing is illegal and these people who receive these calls are actually able to receive money for damages and their debt cleared. I can not stand ignorant uneducated opinions.

Both Total Recovery Solutions and CMG Group show addresses in Kansas City MO.
What is the connection between the two?

You know what you're a total [***] these ppl are indeed scammers they deposit moneyy into my acct without authorization, and forged my electronic signature. I left the money in my acct and told them to take it back, they refused and try to take interest out of my acct. well i closed my acct and waiting for them to call me to court. So if you don't have anything constructive feedback just keep your damn comments to yourself. Apparently you don't have a job you just sit in front of the computer waiting to impose your negativity.

well one thing is to pay the loan n another thing is for them to harrass you n tell u that ur going to jail in 20 minutes if u dont pay the loan, and act like they are american officers with a india accent, those little tactics are against the law too. they act like your a criminal when in the other hand they are doing things that a criminial would do, they should obey the law, how can ppl pay their loans if they are acting like criminals themselves, how do u really know if your paying the right ppl if these ppl are acting like criminals, how about we pay the loan and its just a scam.
