Didn't order Playboy but receive invoices

I never ordered PlayBoy but recently received a threatening letter from Charles Martin. He threatened to send my account to collectors if I don't pay $14.68.  If this is an identity theft why did I receive the bill to my address. I assume this "Charles Martin" sends invoices using addresses from their subscribers database.

If anyone else has received similar letter, what did you do? I am not sure how to deal with this scam and I definitely don't want to be sent to collectors over $14.68....

    I received this unsolicited Playboy subscription and I'm pissed off...I wrote back and told them to delete my name and so on...but they sent me a bill.  I just spoke with a lady at 1-800-999-4438.  She apologized and said that I wouldn't get anything else.  She would not answer my questions other than to say, "We apologize."  Thanks for posting the phone number.  I'm reporting this to...? who? Post Office?

    No tolerance for scams!
    You need to contact your local attorney general and file a complaint, this is fraud and it is taken very seriously if you go to them. They have several cases including this gentleman. You might also want to alert the BBB (Better Business Bureau).

    Thanks for the 1800 number. Playboy uses those invoices as a lure. I called them and they dropped my so called invoice. They have no phone number or anything. So people get nervous and just pay it. [***] playboy

    I received a couple of statements, mine was for $15.96, Thanking me for subscription order. Then I got one threatening to send to collections. I don't have any magazine subscriptions. I didn't order Playboy or ever receive the magazine. I called customer service 1- 800-999-4438. They asked for an account number, the Playboy operator Daniel helped me find it on the bill. He apologized and said I have been a subscriber since July 2014! - again I never subscribed or received any magazines - but Daniel said he cancelled it and I should disregard any further statements. A collection item would be damaging to my credit and career. It cost me more than $15.96 for my time but I would not pay a bill I didn't owe in any amount. I hope the matter is indeed resolved as Daniel promised.

    Question ---was there a Playboy published  in January 2016  ? If so I have not received mine as othe 28th.  Have had a subscription since the 60s  and don't recall missing any issues .

    I just received my March issue and I do not like it.  You can stop my subscription and send back my money.  I am not paying for a  subscription for all that advertisement and no tits or ass.  This is not a better mag.  I have been a subscriber since the 1970's and seen all the changes.  This is the worst.  Dan.

    My 6 year old son started receiving Playboy Magazine. Then started receiving magazines and invoices of all different kinds. Publisher's must be getting desperate.

    I received an issue of play boy & I didn't order this,  they r tryn 2 bill me  $32.97 4 this ! WTF ?

    If you didn't order anything, you are NOT obligated to pay it.  Chances are someone else just put your nam eon an order form.  Whatever, you didn't sign it, it's not valid, chuck the invoice in the trash.  As for going to collections, ignore that as well.  Their auditing process, after you ignore it forever, will reveal you aren't liable.  I've done this for over two decades, ignore them, no more, no less.

    Made out a check for $30.00 ,then I thought I smell a rat .thanks for the warning, tore up check.
