I have never heard of MVQ*BEST BENEFITS until I read my Debit Card Statement on July of 2009. And now they appear on my August statement. I will be looking into this in more detail now.
call your bank call the number that charged you,, and threaten with better business bureau...............

Doesn't the Better Business Bureau read this information. If I found it why can't they?

I too received a charge on my Visa, not my debit, from this company. I called them to dispute it and was told that according to their notes they talked to a 'male' in my household who authorized signing up for the medical coverage. I explained that we are military so do not need any medical coverage and that they did not speak to my husband. The woman then said that she would credit me the $29.95.
This all came about from my going on to PeopleFinder to try and find a relative to let them know about a recent cancer diagnosis they needed to be checked for, NICE huh.

These charges appeared on my Mother's Visa card beginning in October. I saw the charges on her January statement and asked her what they were for. She had no idea, but had been paying her credit card bill for past months without reviewing what was on the card.
She disputed the January charges on the internet visa account. We did not call Budget Savers or MVQ Best Benefits. Why bother, they are frauds and contacting them only legitimizes them! The Visa company has reversed all the charges from October, November, December and January. Visa never called my Mom. They probably googled this company and have reversed the charges because of so many fraud complaints.
Don't call these frauds, just dispute your charges and any reputable company, VISA, Mastercharge, Discover or American Express will reverse the charges and search your records to make sure you haven't inadvertently paid previous months bill with these charges. And remember to always check your statements before you pay. Federal credit card laws give you the right to dispute these charges and not pay them while they are in dispute. No need to cancel your credit card, just invoke your rights under federal credit card laws.

I got a call from these Best Benefit people and I don't know how they got my information but I had a charge from MVQ Best Beneftis by 29.95 and Budget Saver for 1.00. CALL YOUR BANK AND MAKE A FRAUD COMPLAINT AND ORDER A NEW CARD!!
Also, never use your debit card to buy things online, better a credit card, its protected and scammers have a harder time figuring it out.

I received a $19.95 charge on my checking account this morning 2/22/2010 from "MVQCreditScore24". The credit report was advertised on the website (freescore.com) for only a $1 fee. Last week when I was on the website, I didn't see any information at the time or fine print that indicated I was opting in for a monthly fee of $19.95. When I went back to visit the website today, I entered the member ID given initially. Then, I was prompted to enroll in the credit protection service and agree to the monthly fee and "terms of membership" for the services. I backed out of the agreement page and got to a page where I canceled the membership. I received a cancellation confirmation email, but I'm still leary. I'm going to monitor my account everyday for a while. The charges are supposed to be "monthly." My bank said I could dispute the charge (made with my debit card) after the charge is no longer in the "pending" status - hopefully tomorrow.
I believe it's a bad way to do business and a scam on some level since there's no information about agreeing to the fees before your account is charged. (You get the agreement info, after you logon and your account has been charged)I know alot of sites will tell you up front you're opting in for a trial membership - I didn't see this AT ALL.
If I have to eat the ONE $19.95 charge, it will be a lesson learned!

One last thing about I failed to mention about the "MVQCreditscore24" fee. When I went online with my member ID to get the credit score that I initially signed up for (what I thought was $1), the website doesn't let you get your report until you've agreed to the terms of the monthly fees and a long list of disclaimers.
So, $19.95 got me ZERO info.

I,too, was charged the 29.95 plus the 1.00 fee. I had purchased a cooking device (NU_WAVE) off a info commercial. Next thing i know I'm being billed unrelated costs and fees. I felt they mis-represented themselves, saying i had 30 days to REVIEW THEIR products/services FREE for 30 days, and THEN be billed for them. I called the bank and was sent a fraud complaint form. I called both companies involved, cancelled my memberships, sent BOTH emails , and sent letters via the mail, just to cover ALL bases. Oh yeah, i too cancelled my debit card and got a replacement.
Bank rep advised me that i would HAVE to demand a credit/refund, that unless i did, they would not necessarily have to make refunds. So try that, call and DEMAND. Told id get a refund within 3 to 5 days. We'll see!!!

I was tricked into the charges, too. My husband ordered Yoshi blades online. They called us to "confirm the charge" and proceeded to charge my account that one dollar and two months worth of $29.95. I called the 1-888-682-2434 number and talked to a "LENA". She said they would reverse the charges within 5-10 buisiness days. I will log back on and tell you what happened. I also went a step further and chastised Lena for working for a shyster company like this. When she said she needed a job, I said, "take my advice, get another one."
Don't just roll over. We need to let our voices be known. NO MORE FRAUD. And to those who work there, DON'T WORK FOR COMPANIES WHO DO BUSINESS BY FRAUD.

I contacted my creditor who allowed me to dispute the charge, but suggested I see how many times I was charged by calling 877.442.5774. At first they said they'd only refund one month (dating back to July!!! pparently, I didn't notice the charges for a while) but I threatened to contact the better business bureau and they immediately granted me a FULL refund and said it would hit in 2 days!! I was enrolled through Chadwicks and I've now cancelled that account as well.
we'll see if I get the refund!

I purchased the Instyler Iron online... And what they do is sell your information to a third party. I got a phone call from some as well and specifically told them I don't want any memberships to anything. I week later I have WC *BudgetSavers Mnth $1.00, MVQ*Best Benefits $29.95 and Privacy Matters $1.00 in my bank statements. This is not right and these companies should not be allowed to give out information out....

I bought an Instyler and they called me while I was fixing dinner. The only reason I spoke to them is because I thought the conversation was going to be about the product I just ordered. He spoke so fast and I didn't understand nothing. Everything was a free trial and nothing was mentioned about charging my card. I will say this...I will never do that again! I just call 888-682-2434 and she said my I will receive my refund in 3 business days.

Apparently all of these "Companies" have MVQ in common, there were four different companies with "MVQ" in the titles. After calling each one I am supposed to be canceled and recieving my money back.
Best Benefits - 888-682-2434
Budget Savers - 8004751942
Shop Essentials Plus - 877-442-5774
Home Rewards Plus - 877-651-8508
Apparently they were all started from a stop smoking device I called about, even though I declined all of the "extra" services from third parties. Once they start trying to sell you on everything but the product just hang up folks, it's not worth the headache. Good Luck.
