I received 3 harrassing phone calls from a man with a very heavy Indian thick accent claiming he has a law suit against me. I need to get to the bottom of this.

    They are a bunch of scammers, probably based in India or Pakistan.

    They will lie and threaten, pretending to be "attorneys", or even "detectives" or whatever, claiming they have sued you for some debt you never heard of.

    Be aware that they may have access to U.S. credit information, so they may know your SSN, DOB, address, employer, maybe even other accounts or loans you have had.  Similar scammers under various names attempt to intimidate or panic people into paying them, harassing relatives, employers, or coworkers.

    They are just criminal phone thugs, and can't do anythhing they threaten.

    If you were sued, you would be served a summons.  If you were not servied a summons, you could use that to vacate a default judgement.

    These jokers are not "attorneys", they haven't sued you, and there is no debt you owe them.  They are a criminal extortion racket, nothing more.

    I just received the same phone call and when I asked for the address he asked why did I need it.. He goes by the name of Mike Johnson and he evern hung up on me when I asked questions it comes from the number 408-608-0998 and say they are @ 1053 santa monica blv, Los angeles,ca 90028.. So the first guy said I needed to call back and speak to Mike and Mike said that i have a avidavid against me in court and that they will only take 250 a month payments ( I do owe a bill) but he said you either pay it at 250 a month for 3 months or I will be taken to court, that is when i asked for the address and he asked me why I needed it.. Now after call I come on and google and find many many posts about them threatning and being not of this country... And here is the funny thing the bill that I owe was from a little ways back and wasn't even under the number I have now.. Thanks for Google and all the info.. BTW Mike was speaking in very foreign accent and the call was very hard to hear.. staticy hmm makes everyone think.. SCAM

      He's been calling me at all hours trying to make it sound like he's a debt collector. But real collectors don"t hang up on you and aren't afraid to talk to you and give the necesary info. He's left me voicemails laughing, unprofessional, and says his name is allan or aaron carter. But honestly with that deep indian accent I don't really understand his name.

      JUST MAKE SURE YOU DON'T GIVE HIM ANY INFORMATION ON YOURSELF.

      Block their email address from your computer and from your phone...

    I just got off the phone with one of those guys and the name he gave me when he answered the phone was Roger Smith. I told him I would call him back in an hour because I didn't believe that I owed $300 to anyone. He told me that when I called back to ask for Andy. I found that strange so I googled ACS where he said he was from and sure enough scam pops up first. I had a feeling it was bogus because he was too eager to get my credit card or debit card info. I told him I didnt have it on me at the moment because I was real hesitant. He told me that I had to give him my debit/credit info first then go to fedex or somewhere with a fax so that he could fax me some papers that i had to sign and send back.

    I RECENTLY RECEIVED 3 PHONE CALLS FROM A MAN WITH IT SEEMED LIKE HE WAS A FOREIGNER WITH AN INDIAN ACCENT. HE CLAIMED HIS NAME WAS DAVID JONES. THE NUMBER TOLD ME TO CALL WAS AT 1-315-294-9759. BUT WHEN I TRIED CALLING THE NUMBER THAT WAS LEFT ON MY VOICEMAIL. IT SAID THIS NUMBER WAS NOT IN SERVICE. SO I TRIED TO RECALL ANOTHER NUMBER THAT WAS ON MY CELL PHONE ANSWERING MACHINE, AND IT SENT ME TO HIS VOICEMAIL, BUT IT SAID THE VOICEMAIL WAS FULL. SO HOW IS THE NUMBERS I TRIED CALLING NOT EITHER IN SERVICE OR IS FULL.  ONE WORD, B.S.  THE STRANGE THING IS, THE GUY WHO CALLED MY NUMBER WOULD NOT TELL ME WHO I OWED MONEY TOO.  THE NAME OF THE SO CALLED COMPANY, I HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF. SO Y WOULD I PAY FOR SOMETHING IF I HAVE NO INFO ON WHO I BORROWED MONEY FROM....  I ADMIT I DID BORROW MONEY FROM CERTAIN LOAN COMPANIES ON LINE, BUT I WANNA PAY EXACTLY WHAT I OWE BACK TOO THEM. BUT I AM NOT GOING TO PAY ANYMORE THAN  WHAT I BORROWED. SO BEWARE OF THESE CERTAIN LOAN COMPANIES ON LINE. --- SGQ,--- ONE CLICK CASH---, UNITED CASH LOANS---,SALARY FAST.COM,--- OR GRC LPUSA. I HAVE TRIED TO LOCATE SOME OF THESE NUMBERS, NOT TO ANY ASSISTANCE. I DON'T EVEN HAVE NO ADDRESS FOR ANY OF THESE COMPANIES...   SO IF U ARE SOMEONE U KNOW IS THINKING OF BORROWING MONEY FROM THESE PEOPLE, PLEASE TELL THEM ---NOOOOOO---

    i file a complaint to www.ftc.gov (they even gave me a ref number)
    i register my numbers on the https://www.donotcall.gov/
    and they also told me to go to experian.com and activate a 90 day fraud alert.

    all of these procedures are absolutely FREE of charge.

    Next time they call tell them that you won't pay and that you actually WANT TO GO TO COURT.

    they guy from FTC actually told me that these people bought our information to those PAYDAY loan websites. Maybe some people actually did get a loan and paid it off but they will still call you to get more money out of you. in my case i enter my information but never went through with it cuz it didn't make sense to me and due to that now they are saying i owe money. They even threaten me that 2 police officers will be waiting for me when i get home. nothing happen! don't be scare

      Yes, I had a phone call at my place of employment.  I replied I would report them to the Attorney General's Office if they called again.  Very heavy foreign accent - rude, goes by the name of Roy Jackson from Michael Williams office an attorney.  I did a reverse on the phone number and it came from Batonrouge, LA from a residence.  Weirdo, I do not owe any payday loans, but recently had applied and changed my mind.  He was one that said if I did not call him back he would send the police to arrest me at my place of employment or my residence come Monday morning.  I am reporting the call and calling the PD for backup!  Crazy people.

    Ok. so I have been getting these calls and messages on my voicemail.  So I decided I would just call them.  I told them I knew it was a scam and everything and they would hang up on me.  I kept calling back. I think I might of called like 20 times mostly they would pick up the phone and hang it back up.  Once someone answered I said  will stop calling you guys if you guys will stop calling me. They hung up.  So I kept calling again...and eventually they picked up the phone and said they will not call anymore.  So we will see.  They tell me they are from the Lawfirm of ACS or the Legal department of ACS.  The two numbers that call me are 9095394075 and 6469188890.  James Johnson or Frank Scott.  I have called back and spoke with Stacie...and she wasn't very happy with me because I kept calling. LOL

      i have been getting the same phone calls. an idian man with the name steven scott or steven johnson saying they have a legal complaint in my name knowing my address and the last 4 numbers of my ss #. he said i owe $350.00, to pay up or go to take it to the courthouse.

    I received a call today (one of many) from a guy name Mr. Brown with a heavy Indian accent that says he was calling from ACS Law Firm.  He transferred me to his supervisor, Kevin.  Kevin explained that I owed money to a cash advance company that I never paid back.  They gave me the name of my references and once in the past has left my SSN on my voicemail.  They seem to have a lot of information. Each time they call they threaten me stating officers will come to my place of employment to serve me with legal papers and I will be taken to court with a count of banking fraud (or something).  They said my dedt could cost as much as $8,484.87 (very specific figure). Since I never had any officers come to my job or home as they threatened the first time, I did not take these guys seriously (plus I know I didn't owe the money).  I told they guy that called today that I would obtain an attorney and see them in court.  Hope never to hear from them again.

    My best friend called me upset saying someone had called her asking her to have me call them, they refused to give her their name anything. So I called a man with a heavy Indian accent claiming he has a lawsuit against for some loan I never took out.When I tried to talk with him he started screaming at me called me a liar and told me to shut up and hung up on me. Its scary to think that there are people out there whom have our information.

    I had the same thing happen to me.   "Jack Martin" and "Michael Long" are threatening the same thing with me.  They say they are representing EasyCashAdvance.com.  That website takes you all over the place.  So beware. THe phone number they called from is listed in Brooklyn, NY as a cell phone.

        You can add Officer RuizTo your Lisr, got a call from him today  he said  i would be arrested if i did not listen to him, sais he was from ferderal crime div and had several counts against me! he also had my address, phone, bank account number and ss#!!.When i told him I was calling my bank, he told me I would be arrested! Scares me the most that he had My Social sercurity number. His english was poor to say the least,maybe indian ?? He was rude and would NOT repeat anything when i asked. Call came from 315-604-6000 in Auburn, NY
