I got a free credit report and you people chareged my account 14.95, well i have talked to my bank i am disputing the charge and will be refunded it and my bank is going after them, and also i have blocked them from myaccount from taking any other charges out. After cancelling the service you still charged me. Everyone out there this is a huge scam, its all bs, dont agree to anything from them. Thay said i wouldnt be charged for anything then sure enough i was. Dont fall for this!!!!!!!!!

    The same thing happened to me! i didnt even get a credit repotr though. i just received a charge for no reason! these guys are stupid and scammers!!

    I was charged $14.95 for a service that I never authorized or even received.I want my money reimbursed and all services cancelled.

    I just found they charged me $14.95 today, and called the credit card company to report the scam and dispute the charge. 10/10/10

    I was charged $14.95 on 10/1/2010. I just called the company and get my membership canceled. I got no email or anything, just the bill!!! I don't know how they know my name, card number, and email address. It really bothers me.....

    I just realized I got scammed. I will call to cancel the service ASAP.
    It was suppose to be a free report. My credit card was charged 14.95.

    I got the same thing for the last two months. Called 866-883-3309 and was asked to provide my credit card number of full social - I gave them my credit card number and then was asked for date of birth which I gave them. They agree to refund in 7 bunsiness days. Finally when I asked why this happened in the first place since I never ordered or even received this service, they asked the last 4-digits of my social, which didn't match the one on their record. They advised me to change my credit card number under the theory that somebody stole my credit card info and ordered the service for him/herself.

    Anybody got the same explanation? I don't know if this is their trick to put the responsibility on "somebody else" (identidy thief's shoulder)?

    However, the first agent taking my call (before transferring me to their cancellation dept) also asked for the 4-digits of my social and didn't complain it didn't match their record.

    Then after the cancellation, I made a second call to investigate their inconsistency on social; this time, the first agent did say the social didn't match. When I ask why the first agent in my last call did not identify this problem, they explained that the first agent asks info to pull out the record and may not verify the consistency - ok then why ask!

    Maybe just to be on the safe side, I should close my credit card and get a new one...

    Just discovered this recurring charge which began on 9/30/2010 and charged to an unused credit card which has been locked in our safe for a year. Had the charges reversed, but my cc fraud department had me talk to their MNI's representative, who kept saying I opened the account with MNI. Thank goodness they had incorrect birthdate and  last four digits of my social were also incorrect..
    I closed my cc account.

    My concern is how did they even get my name or credit card number, when it hasn't been used in a year and wa locked in my safe?

    I have the same question. The credit card which was charged hae been unused and locked in a safe for a year.Plus, I have never visited their website. I canceled the credit card.

    This is part of an organized scam. This company along with several other "credit report" sites charged my debit card $1, $2, 29.99 and the usual $14.95 over a period of several days, for a product I never ordered. When I called to complain, they demanded my account number and card number. I refused to give them any further information, told them they were being reported and called my bank to cancel my debit card. This is a huge pain, because I have to fill out one report for each of the small transactions to present to the bank. I have to shlep to the bank in person to get a new card because for all they know I could be a scammer too, fraudulently trying to get a debit card. I think these scam artists simply run random numbers through their computer and try charging very small amounts to these websites to make sure the cards are valid - the sites are probably part of the whole scam too. Then, they gradually steal more and more - in such small amounts they count on most people not even noticing the missing money. What [***]! I check my bank statements on line every couple of days at least, so I caught the crooks early.

    Same problem: $14.95 charged to my account--big surprise.  Called the listed number--866-883-3309--for explanation.  Rep said that if I had asked for a free credit report that I in fact signed up for a membership that charges me, periodically, $14.95.  Said that was listed in the terms for receiving the free report.  Then he asked for my name and saw that it did not match the name of the person who had ordered the report.  So, it was fraudulent use of my credit card.  This was a big come-and-get-it month, as I also had charges of $1.49 from Diet Max, which I had also never contacted.  So I've just canceled my credit card.  But it's hard not to feel violated and wonder what else somebody out there might know about me.
