Cancelled card. Yelled at Lexington
report and filled out the information it asked, except when it ask for my credit card information, which I just have a debit card I closed down the website. Plus I never recieved a credit report, not even one score. Then the following day a credit agent called me and asked me if I wanted him to help me straighten out my credit. I asked him what he was talking about, he
said," my name came up on his computer wanting help repairing my credit."
I told him, No this was not true, all I did was go to FreeCreditReport.com
and they wanted money so I cancelled it and didn't even get one report, which I was suppose to get 3. Then I told the guy when I can see a credit report right in front of me then I'll decide if and when I want to straighten it out. He told me that he could bring up my credit report on his computer, I told him that does me NO good because I couldn't see it for myself. I told him if and when I get ready I'll contact him don't call me again. Thank you and good-bye. This happened on 11-2-2010 which I didn't find out until about 3 weeks later when I noticed my debt balance went pretty quick, then I went and checked it and there was that charge for $14.95 from MNI*creditreport.com (866-8833309)and I know I didn't authorize this transaction, at all. I want my money back and them never contact me again. Thanks for listening.
This has happened to me 3 times in the past 2 years and they still employ the same technique but have not been stopped as of 12/15/10
I have been sending them emails for a week with very little help. They ask for an account number and I don't have one because I never purchased from them.
You'd think a reputable credit monitoring service would somehow be able to track the fact that the social security # doesn't match the one issued to the name of the account holder or vice versa. Whatever fraudlent SS# was entered into the account should have produced someone else's credit report - not mine.
It's all very fishy so I canceled my credit card and I'm keeping a close eye on all my financial activity.
and I'm not sure how much time I have to spend to talk to this company's fraud dept.
