I have only recieved 1 solicitation call from Globalreach and hopefully it will be the last. Here's how it goes:
6:30pm dinner time of course, I get a call and foolishly answer it. I gete a very fast talking (reading) salesman spending most of our time informing me how extremely reputable globalreach is, 5 minutes into this and I still have no idea what he wants. I am then put on hold, you gotta love that.
Chris the closer picksup and tells me about my free trip for 2. Ask where the wife and I would like to go? I have no wife!
well then the girlfriend? I have no girlfriend!
His next sales pitch is: Your a "[***] [***] [***]" at which times he hangsup.

You got to be kidding me!?

I picked it up and just listened to see if a recorded message would start up. Eventually I hear an american voice but later discover it's just a sophisticated recorded voice system that [***] use to communicate with us. The American voice started talking to me as if I was saying something and under all that I heard a punjab saying hello? May I please speak to *****? good stuff.

GlobalReach Int calls my house all the time. 6-10 times a day at least. Once they asked for me/Gloria and I wasn't there and when my husband told them I wasn't there they hung up the phone. Another time he answered it was a fax machine. We are also on the no call list. I am very tired of them calling all the time.

Yesterday 8/10/09 I received 20 yes 20 calls from Globalreach International.  Today 8/11/09 so far it has been 5 calls.  I answered the 5th call and asked What the HELL do yall want.  The person that answered said I signed up for a weight loss product.  I am a size 2 what the hell I need weight loss products for anyways?  She said sh would take my information off their computer.  I said if I get one more call from yall I will report yall to BBB and to my local police for harrassment.  I thought she was going to cry.  I was rolling with laughter.  She assured me I would get no more phone calls from them, we shall see.  The number they called me from was 213-430-4262

If from a company, get your network admin to block their Internet IP addresses from reaching your website.

Then get your phone admin to block these numbers at the phone switch.

If personal number, see if your phone service has call screening. If not, get a spare PC with a Caller ID capable dial-up modem, and use a program such as "PhoneTray" to block these calls.

If on a corporate Blackberry, have your administrator block the number at the Blackberry server.

If on a regular cell phone, collect all friends, colleagues, neighbors, associates, family, and friendly bussinesses, put them all on your contacts list, then use an option similar to: "accept only calls from your contact list"

Never give out your real phone number to anyone who asks. Heck... if you so desire, why not give out one of Jay's phone numbers as your "real" number.

Other things I've heard are to get an air horn, answer as "Sheriff's Department", ask why they're calling the scene of a recent homicide (thank you Tom Mabe), give false information to them, etc.

    Be inventive....

Okay I started getting calls yesterday this after I very stupidly fell for a FREE Mac Book Air ad on Facebook clicked thru til I woke up and relaised I was in scam land... so I gotta take some responsiblity for my stupidity in even going in that far... now how to get it to stop... well I have some unresolved frustration.. and if they are jerks on the phone then I can let my freak flag fly and take out all my unresolved anger... might be a new therapy technique!

We just received a call from 213-452-6533 and they wanted a credit card number to send my daughter a packet for free grant money for college.  It sound good to get free money for school, but we refused to give the credit card number until we checked things out.  We have researched the company and they are a SCAM.  Some poor college students may have fallen for the scam.

They are calling my cellphone 7 times a day for the last week...up until 9 pm.  Don't know how they got my number either, but when I find out which company I do business with, I will no longer be a customer of theirs!

These SOB,s call my house in W,Ten from LA. - 213. aria code. They don't
give a damn that its 10;30 and past my bead time. I'm almost 80. About the time I get to sleep they wake me up trying to screw me out of part of my
limited fixed income. My wife is disable. She don't need that crap as well.
I wouldn't deal with them even if they were honest just because they are
a bunch rude [***]. I have asked to be put on there do not call list.
    So far it hasn't worked.
Thanks for the pop off valve.
