I got a solicitation on my cell phone from Digitcom Services the other day.  Yesterday I got a solicitation on my cell phone from the Sunset Group (a time-share scam company) in Mexico.

I just want you to know that when you cost people money for purposes of solicitation, that you are liable for damages beyond a shadow of a doubt and if it ever happens again, I will sue your [***] [***] for every [***] penny you own.

They probably are not reading this board.

Digitcom is well known in connection with telemarketing calls from various sources that are reported to violate the US Do Not Call list.  My impression was that they provided phone services for various telemarketing call centers, including some reported to be engaged in shady business and sales practices.

From what you are reporting, their services might go beyond just phone services to include pinging and selling valid phone numbers to telemarketers.

I just received a call from Digitcom Services. I have caller ID and the number was 619-801-8171 and it was a cell phone number. So I went on whitepages.com to find out who and where that number is from. It was from Digitcom Services in San Diego, CA it said. The only thing is when I answered the phone call instead of them saying anything they hung up real fast. I am getting real sick and tired of getting solicitation calls especially since I am on the do not call list and have been for several years now. What's the use of being on the do not call list if these telemarketers can still call you? Isn't that harrassment of any kind?!?!?!?

I called them a few days ago and they said they would block my number from their callers list, the guy argued they are just a voicemail company and their customers are making the calls. I have not received calls after 2 days from when Icalled

Digitcom is liable no matter what as they are a paid services provider. Their 619-801-8156 automated recording services can be penalized, but why should they care?

I have also been receiving about two (2) calls a week from Digitcom Services. The calls are generated fron the Digitcom office (a land line) in Pasadena, CA 626-207-9175. I guess these low-life, dimb [***] just don't get it.

I got a call today from someone called AM LEFT. The no. was 323-429-7596. When I did a reverse look up, the info was it was Digitcom Services in San Diego. Of course, when I answered they quickly hung up. We are also on the do not call list. How do we report this "company"?

What is the deal with Digitcom from Las Vegas?  They call all the time and leave messages on my voice mail about some credit card issues.  Today I answered and they ask for MY name, when I asked who do THEY want to speak with, they quickly hung up.  It was the same number that called few weeks ago (702-705-5052, sometimes is the same message from Blocked Number/Anonymous) I asked them at that time to remove my number from their list.
I am curious as my number is new, and is not listed anywhere.
Do they get pay per call? When I pick up, they hung up.  Or maybe they expect me to call them back and then I will have to pay for the long distance call.

I have been receiving at least three or more calls a week from (310) 599-5731. All it says on my caller ID is Call Center, CA. I did a reverse look-up of this number and it is Digitcom Services, Inc. I get so aggravated with these type of calls. They call constantly and won't leave a message.

I traced the call (408 651 8105) begging for money for the Indians in the Dakotas to Digitcom, Salinas, CA. Caller ID says the call was from AM LEFT. They call at least once a week, always in the evening. Always in a sad Latin accent. I am sick of this and will gladly join any complaint or law suit to be done with them.

Should I threaten a law suit the next time they call?  Will gladly do anything to be rid of them.

I get around 10 or more calls from Digitcom numbers a week.  Some of them saying the warranty on my car is about to expire.  My car doesn't HAVE a warranty - never did for me, as I bought it from a friend, plus it's too old to have one.  My concern here is also that elderly people getting these calls will panic and believe they are true and be conned into buying "services" they don't need.  Not to mention I am so sick of getting calls from these numbers.  I get calls from Arizona and California.

They got me too! I thought it might be an ex-girlfriend, so like an idiot I answered, but no one spoke. Well, that's nothing knew for her, so I did a reverse look-up, and (Booya!)Digitcom Servives...B@stards!!!

I guess our only recourse is to file a class-action lawsuit. Just send me all of your information, and I'll start the paper-work.

Mostly the same as other posts.  Digicom Services re: warranty info. Also on Do Not Call Registry.  This company needs sued for providing services since they are cost people a lot of time and money and are probable fishing for sensitive info in order to take as much $ from as many as they can.  I urge people to inform BBB, law enforcement, whoever can investigate this bull.

949-256-9145, 702-520-9178, 916-219-8164, & 702-520-9149, STOP CALLING ME!!! Every day, my cell phone rings with these 4 numbers and the times I do answer, they hang up as soon as I say Hello. Digitcom, seriously this is ridiculous. I just got this phone 2 weeks ago, and now I'm going to have to change my number already...

While it doesn't help keep them off my phone (cell, no less), I sure get a LOT of satisfaction:

I keep a list of free, sign-up-here-and-we'll-call-you services (insurance quotes, MLM stuff, office supplies, etc).  They sure come in handy.

When one of these lowlifes refuses to stop calling, I google the number until I find the company name - usually on one of these lists.  Then, I google the name until I find a physical address, reverse-search the address until I find a local number, and - voila - I have what I need to fill out all manner of 'call me' requests.  Just choose a department and a name to go with the address and phone, and keep their landline busy until kingdom come, or they change their landline number.

An alternative is to use their 800/866/877 numbers, because they get charged for EVERY incoming call on those things.  It just doesn't look as legit as a local, landline number.  But then, considering who we're dealing with here, it's all good.

The only thing you DON'T want to do, is to go after any individual within the company, such as finding home address and phone, and submitting that hither and yon - THAT is illegal harassment, and they can go after you for it, the law CAN trace you and prosecute you.  Leave it at the company level, because they won't bother 'chasing you down', they'll just change their number, because they KNOW going after you would be the absolute worst PR they could imagine.

They may have started this little game, but if we all do this - each and every time - they WILL find another game to play.  :)

Those of you wondering what you can do? Don't threaten a lawsuit, just do it. Read the FCC's page about the Telephone Consumer Protection Act at http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/tcpa.html . Also, read the language of the statute itself. It'll be very helpful to know exactly what you're talking about when you file a lawsuit and ask for triple damages because, with the way they just hang up on you as soon as they know you're not interested, they clearly don't care if they're calling cellphones.

These slime have figured out how to re-route their return calls.
I live in the 423 area code and I get return calls from local numbers they've dialed constantly. I've had my provider in my home and they say it's not coming from this end. They're mystified as to how it's being done.
I can't even leave my phone plugged in anymore. I've requested a phone number change because of this. We help care for an elderly relative and are scared something will happen but can't take the constant barrage of angry callers anymore.
