this company called my cell phone at 3:10 p.m. telling me my name had been selected to recieve a job as a govt ins refund processor. I asked if it was sales and they said no. They said all I do is sends the forms to people who have paid off their homes loans and are due a refund check.  For each ck refunded I was to get $400-$800.They said it was guaranteed. They said I would make $38,900 a year. I talked to sherie ext 456 on phone number 503-946-5949 another number they called from was 615-563-7877.They said I had to pay a $69 orientation packet fee plus $10 shipping to get my packet in the mail to start processing the FHA refund checks. They said the packet would include manual form agreements and my supervisor's name who I will be able to speak too if I have any questions. They also said to call number 503-946-5949 when I get my pckg. I looked up the company online and found out it was a scam.

Stay far away from those things. Even the ones that aren't scams want you to do all of the research and find these people, and it's nearly impossible. One of my friends tried it.

Whenever I get a call from some number I don't know telling me something that sounds too good to be true (and believe me, it happens all the time), I immediately Google the telephone number. You'd be amazed at the results that come up, especially the phone numbers that are used repeatedly by scam artists. You'd think if they were ao great at scamming people, they'd at least try to use different telephone numbers. I especially love it when the scammers give me an 1-800 number to call when the number that shows up on my caller ID has a regukar area code attached to it!

I had also recieved a call from someone saying they were the govt calling about tax refund checks and she told me that, I would have to pay 69 dollars upfront for the packet, I told her no cause i didn't like the sound of that, and that I would look into this. From looking at the website and then calling the call back number from when she had called from was more than fake, I didn't get anyone on the other end. I wasn't about to send them money for somehting that didn't sound right.

If more people did what you did and just didn't send any money, these idiots would quit calling.

I am so glad that I googled GMI Enterprises before I committed to this SCAM!! I have been in the mortgage business for 12 years and have NEVER heard of such a government agency or third party working for the government. I too received a call from GMI Enterprises indicating that they got my name and number from a job that I had applied for online.  The person's name was Alicia and her call back number was 971-285-3130.  She indicated she was in Utah but the corporate office for GMI was in Portland Oregon. I told her this sounded too good to be true and I needed to do some research.  Thank goodness all of you were here to warn me and hopefully many others!

I received a call today from GMI Processing after about 10 previous calls from a customer support telephone number 503-946-5949, promising a yearly income of 38,943.00 a year.

I did give them my debit card number authorizing the $69.00 amount one time fee as I understood for an instruction packet and told to call the above number when I received the packet. After reading your comments I will call my bank and stop payment on any withdrawal from GMI Processing,

    Thank you

I got a call today from GMI Enterprises - operator 217. call back number 971 285 3130. They are offering a work at home refund processor job with a potential salary of $39k annually- it would be to process refund checks to people who had overpaid FHA home mortgages. Told me the cost would be $69 for the orientation package. Told them I would call back. Have to check it out. Am doing so now - so glad I did. Thanks guys for the feedback. Will not entertain this scam.

I have actually tried this out and it really does work. I am so glad I gave it a try. I never thought I could make so much money out of something so easy. No offense to anyone but you should really learn to check something out THOROUGHLY before saying it's a scam.

I just got a call from these people I'am glad that you had this comment or I would of been out money that as a single mom of 4 that struggles everyday but wants to get ahead can not afford scams. The last thing I did order slammed my bank card for $70 after I ordered a grant cd that I never recieved! NO product and NO service and NO REFUND. If there was so much money to be made working for these refunds they would have thier people processing refunds and paying them by the hour to do so instead of calling us.

I received a call from a company called GMI Enterprises, LLC, about some kind of work which will guarantee me an income of $38-$39,000. 00 a year. All I needed to do is to give them my personal information including a credit card number for a charge of $69,99 in order to receive my orientation package. The job consists of processing government's refunds connected with the HUD/FHA department. When I asked them why should I give them this money when in fact I will supposedly be working for the US government? The only answer I got was that I could check them out at:"www.refundhelp.net” for all the information about them and their connection with US government. The number I received the call from is: 310-599-5795. You can tell that this is a "SCAM." They are using multiple numbers to contact people. Just be aware of these crooks that are out there preying on the vulnerability of people during these hard times and economic uncertainty for the American People. I am going to call my Senator Ken Salazar’s office as well as the office of the Colorado Attorney General/Department of Consumers protection to report this Scam. I believe that we have the power to “stop” these villains before they can hurt somebody really bad.
